  • People are pittying Nick like he didn’t earn the fight. Dude worked his way into that cage, he didn’t just get given the spot. Really makes me angry that people are like, “who thought this was a good idea, I feel sorry for him” like some helpless dude got assaulted. Nick is the real deal. Respect him as a fighter. He got to that fight fair and square and lost the same way. True warrior

    • Exactly. You also see a lot of "he did so good for a guy with one arm" comments. Nick is a bad mother fucker, period. He'd destroy probably any dude with two arms commenting that shit. He didn't fight for the title out of pity, he earned that shit as much as anyone has.

But what i just watched was no where near a fair contest. I dont care what his record is. He could never be a real contender obviously and has no business in this sport.

This kid has HART and he would whoop anyone off the streets but man ... to be fighting these Top 30 fighters in the entire world that speaks to how tough this dude is. And thats no disrespect just clearly what i observed. Looks like gaethje stood it up to fight where nick was deadliest and most capable which was the standup. And justin deff still gave it to him on the standup for sure, itd also be disrespectful to take it easy and treat him like a handicap. And THAT is respect. To let that man go out like a man and try at his most capable position. And i bet nick taking that ass beating is proud because he knew he fought a real fight against the best and gave it his all. But dont act like you didnt watch the same fight and see nick in a vunerable position on the ground so many times, and couldve been smashed and gaethje decided to get up and bang it out. @njm5642@njm56424 жыл бұрын
    • Have you seen Gaethje's fights? He's an outstanding wrestler but he's always been a stand-up guy. He rarely went for takedowns in most fights. He loves to stand and trade blows and strikes. Although, he could've win a lot more if he utilise his wrestling in all his fights. It's not out of pity or anything for the one hand guy. It's his style. You're disrespecting Newell in a wau by saying that Justin stand and trade as he doesn't want to make him look bad by taking down and pounding a one hand guy. BTW, this fighter had submission wins in his fights.

      @zimikkachui5766@zimikkachui57664 жыл бұрын
    • @Zimik Kachui I wasn’t talking about justin’s wrestling, I am aware of his wrestling credentials. I was talking about a couple instances where he dropped Nick who couldn’t even stand up quickly or cover himself well on his back and Justin clearly didn’t go for the GnP where he had the chance. On another note, Justin literally stopped punching Cerrone on the ground and started looking at the referee to stop the fight, showing mercy to your opponent when you have the upper on them them is never a sign of disrespect, it’s just a sign of good caracter. With that being said, I never meant that Justin showed mercy because he had a physical advantage over him just in case my original comment was interpreted in that direction.
