    • I don't know, i think it's weird. It would never occur to me to have sex WITHOUT consent. Of course i'm talking about indirect consent, because come on, what world do you live in that you have to explicitly ask for consent. Either way, i view immediately thinking about consent as natural as.. idk, immediately thinking about making sure all the women in your area are comfortable with your presence. It's an example that doesn't really exist in real life (i hope not) and that both got something to do with women is merely a coincidence, there's no connection or importance there. What they do have in common, is that i believe immediately thinking about either of the two, especially if we're talking about a kid, shows clear signs of harmful conditioning.

Part of it is probably how they're raised, but honestly, I suspect a lot of them stumble across information on their own and consciously take it aboard because they want to be, y'know, good people. It's amazing and inspiring.

They don't bother talking about all the other things surrounding sex like prevention of STIs, prevention of UTIs afterward. But so long as there's consent, have at it. That's not a healthy way to think about sex either.

      @loganleroy8622@loganleroy8622Ай бұрын
    • @@loganleroy8622 I was in high school in the late 2000s. Obviously, there are other important things to know about sex. If consent seems like the only thing people talk about now, it's probably because it's a colossally important topic that's been left out of education and conversation for generations now. We certainly didn't get any real material on it. Imagine if every driver's ed class, taught for decades, made no mention of how and when to use the brakes. Our collective response to realizing that is going to be fairly dramatic for a bunch of reasons -- trying to make sure everyone knows these crucial things, venting frustration and fear about it, trying to gauge how people around us react to it to see if they're trustworthy, ridiculing the people in charge who allowed that to be the case for so long. Lots of reasons. That doesn't necessarily mean they don't consider anything else important. They just won't talk about those other things as much. I mean, I don't know if high school kids these days do know about STIs and unplanned pregnancy and all the other things to know about sex. (I don't know any high school kids, and even if I did, asking them how much they know about sex would probably get me arrested.) But don't assume they don't simply because they don't talk about it as much.

It’s literally just consent, make sure you have consent, if you’re both cool with it go for it. Even if those acts are bad ideas or have other risks that they don’t mention. @Moose92411@Moose924113 ай бұрын
    • @@Moose92411 Yeah, if you try to raise it unsupported, but no one assumed that specific criteria, and people take deserted kids in all the time. You argued on fact too, not morality. The fact that you even CAN abandon a child (being separate entities from your body and all) - much more easily than kicking full blown addiction - means it can’t be the thing with the worst effect on your life. The child’s destiny will be impacted by what they are born into, but it can’t be fully defined by it because lives develop unique trajectories. So there’s no argument that sickness causing your own death, addictions that afflict your body, domestic/gang violence etc IS the worst thing to happen to a youth.

Like I'm female and I had mostly guy friends growing up so I knew about the "accidental erections" being genetically random and sometimes stress based, which helped me navigate conversations with female friends when they would talk about a guy "adjusting" and them seeing it as being gross in class. Same with when I would get my period my guy friends learned about the symptoms and why I'd be nauseous and have to go to the nurse (I had clinically bad cramps so I'd need to go to the nurse and literally sleep it off on the first day some months). They also learned what tampons and pads were. I also learned a lot about guy's JOing habits and their thought processes and stuff. Nothing was "taboo" for conversations and now they're better husbands and boyfriends for it to the women in their life and I'm the same with my relationships.
