Making Linear Cutting Track Machine

The stand is very helpful during plasma cutting, you can cut small and large elements, thanks to the electric movement the cutting is much more accurate and faster than manual cutting. The mechanism is screwed, so it can be removed from the base at any time, so you can use the base itself for manual cutting, electrically powered plasma track

  • I build one of this router folowing your steps. The difference is a support to a circular saw and manual move (without electric motor) Thank you for the great idea!

  • You did a nice job. It looks like you made it with a channel to hold water. I have a small CNC plasma cutter and I put a water table under it and the water really helps to keep the steel cool. I mostly work with thin steel. It looks like it will work great for straight line cutting. At first I did not know how you were doing the track and basically it is just like my machine. Good idea; I can not cut a straight line by hand even if I use a guide. It looks like it took some time to make and I hope that it will serve you for a long time to come. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😎

    • workshop from scratch nice job it turned out great! I have also seen Made in Poland plasma track, good work. Now you guys probably have not seen my plasma track but it’s also pretty neat, I went with a different approach, it works more like a chop saw with a back stop, and instead of moving the metal you can just move the cutting head from 90 to 45 and you can also tilt the plasma head, I wired up limit switchs as well. The video is called DIY plasma torch cutting track 👍 I got a smaller channel so it’s not had many views over the last year. Thanks for posting and making cool videos guys!

  • How useful is a one axis cutting table? Ok, you can make straight cuts better then with oxy/ace. But can you control a straight cut well, which ends in the material? Like the material has a width of 100cm and you only need a 20cm piece.
