I found a bunch of foreigns in my last box. Three Canadians, one Korean 500 won, one Eastern Caribbean States dollar, and one Taiwanese 10 new dollars. I also got a token of Dwight Eisenhower from the Presidential Hall of Fame. So yeah, they let a lot of stuff get into these dollar rolls haha.
I don't think the banks give a hoot about handling "chump change" coins anymore, and it's definitely not worth a retailer's time to bring it back and complain about a handful of erroneous coins either.
@ 18:06 you had a 1980 D s.b.a. In your hand hope you find it
The maple leaf insignia on the 2019 Loonie is a security feature. Counterfeiting has been a serious problem with the Canadian $1 and $2 coins.
Great roll-outs thanks for sharing. I’m new, just found two - one dollar coins never see them given as change but a long time ago a vending machine gave change with these. How do i tell which ones are “proofs”?
What’s up Quin! I’m not feeling my best physically right now so I’m glad you’re there to make me feel better by uploading a video! I’ve been just sorting some coins as well lol, so I hope you get some cool stuff in these rolls!
Hey dude, thanks for the comment! I’m sorry to hear you’re not feeling well and hope you’re feeling better soon!
Okay, as you are very interested in the $1 coins, if you didn't know the 2005 -2010 US Mint sets came in what is called a Satin finish, including the $1 coins as well. Seen side by side with the regular finish coins, there is a noticeable difference, as the Satin finish coins are more matt and less shiny. They are probably not found in circulation frequently and also would be very difficult to tell in circulated rolls. However, they do come from both P & D mints. In addition, the Innovation Dollars come in Proof and Reverse Proof versions, as well as the special Reverse Proof Presidential Dollars for Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Reagan. Finding one of these in circulation would be extremely rare, and would only come from a collection dump of a very unknowledgeable person. But these would be something to look out for, for sure.
Quinn, very cool find sir!!!
Do the Canadian Dollar Book, I mean why not? 😊
Nice Finds!!
i actually love this series lol can't afford to hunt dollars but it's fun to watch!
What kind of coin books are those
Such a fun video series! I started collecting small dollar coins about the time I watched your first video on them. Just last week, I found a NIFC 2012012-P Native American dollar - and recently a 2000-S Sacagawea proof! Thanks for doing these videos - it looks like your collection will be done in no time if the boxes stay like they've been!
Have you done a video on what you do with the coins you keep that don’t go in your collection books? Do you just have tubes of the different years/mints/errors?
i wish they still had the old Eisenhower dollar coins from the 1970's. Big and chunky and cool.
Great hunt! That was one hell of a box! 😁👍
Cool hunt! I really enjoy your dollar videos especially! Always love to see what others find. I had a $400 dollar coin hunt last weekend and I pulled two rolls of NIFC’s. SO many upgrades, not to mention a few additions in the presidentials. I also found another Wide Rim sba and it was in really good condition.
Finding coins you collect shouldn’t be a surprise. People who don’t collect have no idea what they are giving away.🐎
Watching now
Nicely done! Keep the videos coming!
I only keep the best. Always looking to upgrade. 🐎
I personally always throw back duplicate NIFCs so that others can find what they need, good video Quin
So the 2019 Canadian $1 "Loonie" after 2012 was made out of Multi-ply brass-plated steel, prior to that it was made from steel with brass plating. They started electroplating in 2012, which changed the look of the loonie a lot. Congrats on all the cool finds in your hunt.
Yup. We mint 75 cent coins up here in the Great White North. I don't think it's a big deal if our pennies or nickels wind up in rolls, but the Loonie? That's not fair tbh
oh dang, you made me wikipedia that before I got the joke 🥴
@@brooksrownd2275 Wikipedia as a verb instead of Google... That's Meta!
Sacas are by far the most attractive US coin of my lifetime, so I was really sad they didn't catch on. I used to get piles of shiny new Sacas from stamp vending machines at the post office and spend them at coffee shops, but some of the more boring baristas hated getting them. Who doesn't like a shiny dollar?!?! First time I've seen that Saca with the corn planting on the reverse, which is also a really nice design!
Always enjoy watching nice and relaxing, get a break from the kids for a few….. honey going outside :) cheers
Didn't look like a wounded to me. You really have to get the right angle with the light to see it sometimes. I have found many of them. They are abundant in northern Michigan.
Good hunt!
I was given a 2008 s and it says on the flip silver proof set. There is an Eagle on one side, and on the other is Saca
May I ask where you got the sheet of paper showing the coins and dates on it?
The Presidential Dollar coins without any writing on the edges sell for $50 each or more.
Hey Quin I just found my First ever 1939 Lincoln wheat penny how rare are they and what are the worth in good condition
Brinks/Loomis deals with thousands of SBA, SAC, Presidential, and Am Innovation dollars that they wrap in rolls, as evidenced in this video. So where do they keep all of the Ike dollars??? You know they get them.
I got a 2009 Proof Native American that has that blip on the edge , maybe a anti-counterfeit thing.
*Quin's Coins* Thank-you for taking the time to make content like this. GOD Bless. (( New Sub! ))
How do you tell if a coin is a proof? I just started putting a collection and don't know what I have and how to tell what is good or not? Any resource recommended? Thanks. p.s. I had fun going through a large number of about 500 wheat pennies from 1900 to the late 1950's. They were gifted to me by my father about 40 years ago and just now getting around to looking and organizing. I'm older and fully retired now so have some time to play with all my coins. Thanks for any help.
❤❤❤❤❤
I have found one coin that has one side silver and the other side gold plated. Still trying to find out how much it is worth if anything.
I really enjoy all of these. I am not a serious collector by any means but I enjoy buying a few rolls to pick through from time to time. I didn't realize the 81 Susans were special, but I think I have several of those. One thought I had while watching tonight is "How do you handle the coins you pull out but don't add to books?". I know in the past you have said that so far you have not gotten into selling coins yet, so I think it would make a good video to show us how you handle and store your coins that are keepers but not necessarily categorized in collections. For example, what do you do with all the Canadian coins? Or the NIFC dollars that you have multiples of?
Hi
A tornado is coming to my house and this is the only channel that can keep me entertained during events like this. Keep up the good work! Also, could you make a livestream of you hunting coins? Thanks!
I hope you’re staying safe! I do occasional livestreams but don’t have a set schedule. Best way to catch the next one is to make sure you have notifications turned on for the channel
I am subscribed to you so I can get notified. So happy you responded!
@@QuinsCoins I live in tornado valley so it is normal for me and it is the third time this year. But I still do get scared as crap when it happens😂
US Mint gotta improve their separation process
Hey, been watching you for a while now, random question about a nickel if you could answer it, how expensive/ scarce are 1975 Elevated D’s. I found one and my book doesn’t pin a price but says it offers premium price.
The official error name is called the 1975 misplaced mint mark error
Interesting. Wish I knew what I was looking for. My uncle passed and left me like 20 rolls with the presidents names right on the wrapper
Id be lucky to find a 3rd of that and I go to random train stations around the city someone must like you at that bank
where do you get a sealed roll of coins?? I am very curious. please tell me.
Some of the presidents look like the three stooges. Can you assemble a three stooges trifecta ?
LOL
Presidents on the coins was the worst decision ever. Bring back our lady liberty!!!!
Nope, on the wounded eagle. A quick loop on it will tell you
Yup, on the wide rim
I love the Dollar hunts so many different types. Really enjoy this. Take care. Please tell Debbie hello.
