The above is chicken scissors. One blade is serrated the other is plain/smoth, which can be used to cut wings, etc. For some models the blades can separate, so you can hone the blades easily.

It is called chicken scissors because it is used for cutting chicken. These scissors go through bone pretty easily. I also know them as poultry scissors.
The serration is on the outside though.

Badass poultry scissors

I have see them before.🤔 In Germany we call these poultry shears. 😃 Good quality is available from WMF or Zwilling. You can often buy these at flea markets for 2-3 euros. You can buy cheaper ones new for less than 10 euros. Simply sharpen one side after purchasing and it will look exactly the same, maybe better.😉

I have a similar pair (not quite as "tacticool" as these), made by the Buck Knife Co., from sometime in the 1980s. Very well made, tougher than a 2-dollar steak.

They need a second version where the karambit is the other handle
I agree, a karambit with a reverse blade is useless and dangerous for the holder. The only problem reversing the desing is having the finger ring into your palm when using the tool as a scissor. Not sure if that could be comfortable or not.

@@filchamp6985 Do you always put words in the wrong order like that champ? Also it's fixed* blade, not fix. Also you have it completely backwards, it's fixed or locking knives that are illegal to carry in UK and Canada. In UK it's got to be less than 3 inch blade and non-locking, you know, the ones that are worse than useless as you're more likely to cut off your own fingers. This is because the 'authorities' don't know that locking blades is a safety function because most of the people who make the laws aren't very intelligent and have next to no real world experience not to mention wanting a weak, disarmed populace to enslave.

$185 isn't bad. The video they have shows that they are insanely sharp and strong. Pretty big for any kind of EDC. Idk what they would be used for but man are they cool!

Makes me happy that someone made it makes me slightly sad that it's not in a karambit form
I have owned a pair of these poultry shears for over a decade that other than having wood handles, perform exactly the same and even have the same blade shape. In fact this pair of shears look painful to use because of the weird shape handles. The knotch in the blade cutting edge is to cut larger hollow bones. I love that mine are detachable so they are easier to clean.

My dad had a Kershaw set of knives that had splitting scissors for easy cleaning, they were also sharp enough to cut steak easily as individual knives, your spring mechanism is new to me and cool tho

The upper knife part should also have some kind of hole for a finger or it will easily slip through your palm and cut it while used as knife.
