Cows love, bond with, and mourn their family and friends too. When Holy Cow passed, the rest of the California barnyard herd needed some calming energy. We're grateful they had a relaxing violin performance -- music is so healing.
The Gentle Barn is a non profit animal sanctuary with locations in Los Angeles, CA, Nashville, TN, and St. Louis, MO. We rescue neglected and traumatized animals from all circumstances, we rehabilitate them, and when they're ready we partner with them to heal people with the same stories of trauma. People sometimes do forget that animals also grieve the loss of an animal and also a person that has been a part of their lives. It's so wonderful you're attuned to that.

Nah, people who works with them, they knew... 😢 And sad is... when you work in company, you have more than 200 cows on 1 person... Cows love music cows love to be taught to rubbed on. They will set and listen to you all day if they will have the time they are beautiful animals. I can say happily that I got to meet Holy in November, and she was, in fact, an amazing and sweet creature. Sad to hear about the passing...i hope she rests easy knowing the lives shes helped to improve.

I dont have a cow, but I literally lost my Pitbull yesterday. We had one litter with him and all I have now is his son who hasnt eaten anything since yesterday. He was the alpha of my little pack and my family is devastated 💔. I can fully imagine how lost these cows must feel 😭.
