Have you ever thought about an NBA player that was in the spotlight one moment and then seemingly overnight you never heard their name again? While you might hear little snippets of info here and there about the players mentioned in this video, nowadays these guys don't have spots on NBA rosters for various different reasons. These are 7 NBA players that disappeared from the league suddenly.

  • Man Cousins has to be unlucky as hell, he joins the GSW the year after they win and is cut the year before Denver wins their championship

    • I think he was injured or cut from the 2020 Lakers but they did send him a ring when they won the finals.

  • Hassan Whiteside was a beast on the blocks I don't see how you got spot for Robin Lopez still either but I thought Hassan was a future All Star

    • Empty stats and was only worried about highlight blocks, not making the right play.

    • @@Luv_Sammy😂😂😂 it’s always someone claiming all players stats are empty stats. Had a 6 yr stretch being one of the best defensive bigs not just stats actually being elite overall. He played on bad teams so you say empty stats is being lazy, the ONLY reason he wasn’t a all NBA player is because he had absolutely no offensive game outside of dunks

    • Not about talent. It’s about their ability as a teammate. Same reason why people didn’t want melo when he declined. He wouldn’t accept a bench role, and would be a team cancer.

  • This is just by my understanding, not saying this is in stone perfect logic. Cousins: Couldn't defend the pick and roll by the end, constantly attacked in playoffs. Also not a reliable personality historically. Howard: Good player still but was a frustrating locker room presence who if I recall correctly was in a dispute with the NBA about following rules in the bubble and was almost dismissed from the playoffs. Whiteside: Bad locker room guy, great defensive stats but terrible results guy who chased blocks and gave up tons of points off cutters and offensive rebounds. Kemba: By the end his knees were so bad he couldn't guard anybody and was a complete liability. Stevensons: Both were just notoriously difficult personalities on and off the court. Summary being, these guys were all difficult to deal with, which is fine when they are at their peaks, but once the talent drops off they aren't worth the trouble.

  • I tore my quad once before. It really is slow to fully heal. A month or two and you’ll be fully active again. The problem is how easy it can be to re-injure yourself afterwards.

  • Dwight Howard was out of the league quick after the lakers championship because of his attitude. He put his head down and worked hard as a solid role player that year, but then immediately started complaining about touches and playing time and other crap you should not be hearing from your 35 year old backup center. We thought he had left that attitude behind when he joined LA, but it seemed he was just putting on a face for a year. His attitude is not worth having him on a roster spot, even for a minimum. He would just be taking a roster spot from a player who's much younger and still more mature than him. Dont feel bad for him, at least he got the ring. Honestly attitude issues killed a lot of these guys' careers. Teams are gonna choose the 25 year old with a good attitude and work ethic over the 35 year old with a bad attitude and entitlement issues every time.

  • Whiteside isn’t in the league because he was a constant defensive liability. His high block numbers disguise the fact that his teams always did worse defensively with him on the floor.

  • Just thinking about it teams probably would like to take a chance with one of these players but you got to remember what the average NBA Salary is per season especially for bad to garbage players. I'm pretty sure once they get back in the NBA they ain't playing for a mill or two and change.
