  • I'm a 73 year old white woman, and I've been listening to this everyday. Having been part of 1960s civil rights marches (was in DC with MLK in 1963 on the Mall) and lived in Chicago in 1968 when the town blew up after MLK and RFK were killed, I am glad I lived long enough to be part of this time of racial reckoning. I listed to Slick Rick in the 1980s and I am so happy to listen to him again today. Rick cared about the children back then who inherited poverty when the streets were their teachers. I hope I live long enough to witness better opportunities, a more fair and more equal union, when black children are no longer poor and other voices and opportunites are as available to them as to us. I'm a grandmother, God bless the children. Thank you Rick.
