A freeze would do, you can freeze moving spells like fireball, rocket, log and arrows, when the freeze runs out the spells will drop straight to the ground

@Mohyi M it used to do aoe damage apart from being able to be placed anywhere on the arena while containing a radius. the barrel itself is also not considered a troop and therefore doesnt contain troop stats. things like miner can be placed anywhere as a troop with troop stats, not in a radius nor does aoe damage, as well as not containing a range that does such either. skeleton barrel does aoe damage and is an object containing troops much like a goblin barrel, however the barrel itself is considered a troop containing troop stats. it also cannot be placed anywhere on the arena nor contains a radius or range that indicates aoe as well. all spells have a radius or range that indicate an area of aoe damage or just an area of an effect. all spells also appear out of nowhere in the sense of, instantly coming from the sky, instantly coming from the ground (with the idea they are thrown onto it), or rolling onto the ground affecting the areas. i think this is a better example then saying spells can be placed anywhere since certain spells cant be placed anywhere and certain troops can be placed anywhere (as of currently only miner). troops on the other hand are to appear on ground or in air and dont affect those areas, just act with-in them. in other cases graveyard is a spell that spawns troops, its not a troop that spawns troops. there is no aoe damage, there is a radius and it can be placed anywhere on the arena and it appears out of the ground affecting that area. in addition, spirits are not to be confused with spells since they troops that are put on the ground (at least currently since there is no air related spirit), containing troop stats and trade their troop form or rather suicide for or to create the the effect of a spell. the heal spirit is the only current spirit to do both damage and spawn a spell, such as the heal. it is considered a troop despite a possible error of devs missing the fact the game indicates them as a spell still due to probably actually being the replacement of a heal spell, rather than a completely new card and then deleting the heal spell from the game (they most likely just editted the code and images).
