Carefree is a great one for Vampires. If you pick the weakness where they get tense due to being out in the sun, the Carefree trait wipes that away so you basically have one less weakness.
same logic works on some of the frame perks as well making carefree super powerful
It also negates Guilty Drinker entirely for the same reason.
@@Manpag so two free vampire weaknesses
*being tense during the day, not specifically while in the sun. You also become weaker and therefore lose vampire fights more. Edit: grammar mistake
I love the friendly bug that gives infants extra traits they shouldn't have. For example, I have an infant with the steel bladder trait and she never soils herself.
The first ones I always go for are Read Faster, Clean Faster, and Seldom Sleepy. Cuts down on the boring stuff they need to do.
"Fourteen Kisses" is the perfect name for a simlish romance novel
I like to use Heat Acclimated, Cold Acclimated, and Waterproof as traits for roleplaying. I'll have Sims who were born in a warm world heatproof, Sims who were born in a world where it rains a lot waterproof, etc.
Beguiling is a MUST if you're doing the 100 Baby Challenge. It makes seducing sims so much faster! Great kisser is super OP when it comes to building Charisma and it's severly overlooked in my opinion. I used that in my Rose generation of Not So Berry to boost my charisma because it was a requirement for that generation and I was sick of getting the Vain Street fame quirk from using the mirror constantly.
What a clever approach. It's been a while since I've tried, but I thought there was sort of potion that can be drank to remove those quirks, right?
@@Leto85 there is a potion for that which I do use but I found that the Great Kisser thing was super good at building Charisma so I just used that for that particular playthrough. Doesn't work with all storylines so the potion is a good option to get rid of that quirk.
@@sabrinaloizides-merideth9874 Good to learn new things here. I was mirror mirror on the wall all the way here. How kissing can teach charisma is beyond me, but if it works it works.
My sims are either painters or writers, so the creative visionary trait is a must have for me. Both for the storytelling and the money
How do u apply it to sim js buy it right?
@@michellebustos1430 Yep!
Personally, since I tend to look at my Sims as characters in stories I'm making up, I like to treat Reward Traits as almost like an alternate form of Personality Traits. For example, I'll give Gym Rat to a more athletic Sim, Heat Resistance or Cold Resistance to Sims that grew up in warmer or cooler climates respectively, Waterproof to Merfolk, Marketable to painters and writers, Beguiling and Great Kisser to a charismatic and flirtatious Sim, etc. Although, after watching this video, I might give the Savant Trait to any Sim that has the Satisfaction Points for it, regardless of what kind of character I imagine that Sim as, because it sounds super useful to any Sim
I use them the same way! Tbh i do cheat the satisfaction points most of the time to get them certain traits are "necessary" for story telling
This is such a great way to approach the traits blaze! I love it :). And it's true that savant does really work for all!
That army of angry gnomes in the intro gives me life.
I'm currently doing the SuperSim challenge by James and I have never had a sim with so many traits and satisfaction points in my entire life playing the Sims lol. I started her as a toddler and she's now so OP, it's ridiculous. But it's a great way to play/use traits and rewards I never usually play with in my normal gameplay. Nevertheless, my absolute favorite traits that I always get with all my sims are always welcome and waterproof. I literally can not play a sim without those traits, it always bugs me that you e.g. can't cook with a friend in their home because they deem it improper. Observant is also really neat. The traits I never use are the most expensive need based ones because with them the gameplay just gets suuuper boring.
I think if our sims are relatives and friends they shouldnt get bothered by our sims cooking in their houses. But maybe they did that so we need to buy the trait.
Yesssss, storm chaser! That scared moodlet is such a pain.
Savant is a great all-arounder, but I never knew Great Kisser was so good for building Charisma! How curious. . .and yeah, I'm with you -- I'd rather have the slowed need decay over completely stopped. My vampire Sim in my current main save file never needs to sleep, and it can be a little hard finding ways to keep them entertained sometimes!
I usually try for the Savant trait on all my sims, a great all around trait. Thanks for the video! Always so helpful! 🤗👍
Carl did a video about that trait not being as beneficial to skill building as the morning sim & night owl traits, which are both cheaper and do the same boost. I usually get those two first then get Savant later.
thank you for the kind words patti! :)
@@deebraun7488 This is what I do, morning/night sim then save up for savant and I'll also usually do a tiny home starting out and their skills just fly by lol
I use the observed trait all the time and exactly for the reason you stated.
Usually, I hoard all my points and try to get one of the Forever traits but I think I’ll try these rewards instead next time!
This is really helpful! Thanks again, Petey 😊
I always forget about these, thank you!
Shameless is also great for haggling with market stalls. Great for any money related challenges, because you can keep haggling until they break down and give you a discount.
I had no IDEA of some of those traits THANKS
Thanks, Petey. Lots of great ideas!😊
Thank you so much Susan :D
I haven't had time to indulge myself to watch your channel. I missed you, Petey! Much love!
Thank you so much for the kind words Pats!! :D
@@PeteyPlaysIt Love you, Petey! If you ever decide to come to Uruguay let me know! Hugs!!
Thanks for the video! My top 3 are: Needs No One (...I hate talking to that Tina Tinker-whatshername lady...), Storm Chaser, and Waterproof. I can live without everything else. 👍🏾
I always choice Always Welcome
Why not the money tree? It's super sustainable because it gives you money every day. For more money you can use the copypasto spell first on the seeds and later on the grown (and evolved) trees. Also I hear that you don't even need the spell because you can take cuttings.... The best reward trait is Never Weary unless of course you like to watch your sims sleep you weirdo you.
Oh a good call with the money tree! Apologies I wanted to focus just on traits but you're right it is an incredible reward!
thank you for not saying key lines
I have some games where I avoid my sims learning other's traits as much as possible because chaos
Have an amazing day!
Awe thank you and likewise I hope you have an incredible day too! :D
Okay, are you SURE Heatproof and Iceproof is supposed to keep them from dying? As I've had Sims with Iceproof freeze to death. Is my game bugged or something?
I hope one of them is just “all the traits” Never mind, he’s focusing EXCLUSIVELY on traits (this is what I get for commenting before watching the video)
Is fertile trait just for females?
I don't know if it's a bug, but buying the Forever Full reward trait will prevent sims from becoming pregnant. I also don't know if it still happens since it happened to me a while ago.
