I really love these watches and know all about them. But I am curious how the pins in the band are doing months after being in the ocean. Please let us all know. I have the same watch that I wear as a beater everyday but haven't had the opportunity to dip in the oceans.
Wonders of Watchdom i just got a grand diver, whats your opinion on that one?
what you know about watches you can wright on a stamp lol the invicta case is a chinese fake rolex case and the movement is ok for cheapest seiko movement ! but anybody who knows little something about watches wouldnt touch it with a barge pole full stop !!!
You repeatedly mention "this price point" in the video but (unless I'm mistaken) never mentioned the price. Is it about $100 as are prices via the AMZ link?

@Greg Maxim their movements are Seiko! I really don't think that's trash. Get out of here you damn troll.
@Greg Maxim Grand Seiko is not junk. Your opinion is not specific to cases, screw down crowns, or sealant. Eta 7750 is a durable movement at a meager 350 to 400 USD price tag. Unless you can prove how the NH35A Sii by Epson is worse in comparison to any Eta, your claim is invalid. Don't forget to compare cases, crowns and sealants.
@Greg Maxim Indeed.
I bought a Pro Diver based off this review. A year later and it’s still going strong! Accurate to 2/3 seconds per day, has been in the water several times for swimming and diving. Gets the most wrist time in my collection. Great little watch, thanks for the review!

Bought an Invictra Grand Diver in two tone Rose gold 10 years ago. First signs of wear came after 7 years, but that was just the gold double fading, so even that is pretty impressive. 7 years of doing construction work, digging sewers and doing paver work. Not a single scratch on the crystal, even tho I smash the watch pretty often against concrete, metal and stones. The stainless stell is rock hard and it amazes me how its holding up. I have other watches that is worth much more than my Invicta - but this will always be my everyday watch.
doubtful, sorry
I bought a Pro Diver before I knew anything about watches; I honestly didn't even know it was a Sub homage watch. I just liked the look and clicked buy. That was 15 years ago and it is still going strong.

Conclusion: Invicta is a reliable brand if you follow the instructions
Exactly!
the jury is out on that Invicta is a branding name and source watches from lots of different makers, some good some not so good but this particular model i did buy and find as the reviewer finds does what its suposed to de albeit it takes a cooly to carry it around for me when I am not wearing it. Why did i buy it , the seiko movement
Like everything else
It’s the Toyota of the watch world. Functional, but not as prestigious
Conclusion it was not checked as a diver but as a beach watch.
The dive bessel is actually to calculate total bottom time. Basically you set the 0 at current time when you start your descent and check the elapsed time when you start to go up. This will allow you then (combined with your pressure gate) to calculate residual Nitrogen in blood and how much you must wait before your next dive. Its now about oxygen in the tank.
thank you i was looking for this comment
...actually it's for how much you have to wait for decompression before you can go up completely in the surface
I use it to make french fries.

Or for that you could simply use a dive computer. A simple gecko would do the job fine. Saver as well. I don't have met many divers who dove without a dive computer. Maybe some beginner drvers. But when I was working in the industry the most fantastic divers as well professional ones all wore their own dive computers
I have two Invicta's: a Pro Diver (black dial, scalloped bezel) and a Speedway 200m. I bought both watches over 10 years ago and they have never let me down.

I work construction. I collect watches. I bought an Invicta 8927OB for my daily because at $75 it is a wonderful watch! I've kicked the shit out of this thing everyday for nearly a year now and it still looks wonderful and functions perfectly. I shower with it nearly every day. No water leaks. Still holds time perfectly. And for what I wear it through its holding up very very well. I will be buying another one and modifying this one
I have one for you
The bezel is an important feature even if you're not a diver. I use mine several times a day for timing things like laundry, cooking and exercise.
Got this watch over 10 years ago. Mine has the Miota 8215 movement. Still runs great and after 10 years (with no servicing) it's running about 4 sec fast a day. I can live with that especially since I have more expensive watches that have just died or run 45 sec slow a day. I really don't care what other people say about my watch. I'm the one who paid for it so I'm the one who gets to decide if its good or bad.

@@markporter2642 not really watch snob here, but i do believe if you cant afford it dont fake it, and to me a homage is nothing more than a fake/copy. I mean I dont mind if the watch has similarities with prior watches but exact copy is just bad taste
@@aliaddas582 I can afford to go out today and buy a half dozen Rolex's in cash but I would never feel comfortable wearing them and I would consider it a waste of money just like I would consider a luxury car a waste of money. Ironically most people who drive luxury cars can't afford them either. I've never really worried about impressing others and I look for value for my money. I agree this Invicta is more than a homage, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it an exact copy either. It's not trying to fool anyone. It's not branded as a Rolex. I don't see anyone trying to fake anything here.
Invicta makes a great watch. I replaced the the crystal with a double domed sapphire crystal and have had no problems. With the new crystal, it looks a bit more like an an Omega Seamaster.

Anyone who goes on a holiday just to test a watch earns my respect. Best and most comprehensive review of a watch ever. If it were a Rolex under review, you might spend the time and effort like this. Well done friend!
This guy really know how to put things in to perspective. Really thorough review, well done.
RIGHT ON! I have many Invictas. I also have several Rolex, Longines, Casio, Breitling, Seiko (and some that don't immediately come to mind). I buy a watch because I like looking at it on my wrist. If a watch fails to work properly, then I don't like looking at it. So I take a few precautions on buying and wearing watches. I DON'T TAKE ANY WATCH IN THE WATER, no matter the waterproof claims. I don't need to know the time when I'm in the pool, since my cell phone is normally handy (which I also don't take in the water).Perhaps if I were an experienced diver, I would be disappointed with Invicta's dive watches. But then, I wouldn't likely have bought an Invicta watch (or any other watch that isn't generally used by professionals) for diving, or skydiving, or working in construction, or any other profession that would be hard on a timepiece that wasn't specifically made for a specific purpose, by a watchmaker who had a recognized reputation for making such a watch. My experience, in light of the above, has been positive for the numerous Invicta and inexpensive watches I've purchased because I like the way they look. If I buy a funky twenty dollar watch, and it doesn't work out of the box, or stops working after 6 months of casual use, then I figure, "that's life," and resolve not to buy that brand of watch in the future. Invicta does not fall into that category.. And, IMHO, it's hard for some people to be positive about anything.
Absolutelly
@@marcberrenson570 You may not need to know the time when you're in the pool, but you want to be stylin' on the way there, right? LOL jk
Finally this watch is getting some love and respect. Thanks for the video!
Agreed! Awesome brand.
I have several Invicta's, the oldest is almost 15 years old. They are all wateproof, some up to 600ft, all of them have been underwater, in saltwater etc.....and I have never had a single problem with any of them. The only problem I had was my crown was unscrewed and I got into the shower, and moisture collected under the crystal. It was still under warranty, but Invicta stood by it even though it was my fault, fixed the watch at no cost to me. I got it back within 10 business days, after they'd received it. So I don't have any complaints with Invicta watches, matter of fact, they are now the only watch I buy because they have so many models and types.
I know. They have an eclectic assortment so folks can choose the style/model/color they like. I've bought apx 40 watches over the last 5 years and I and the people I have given them to have been very happy and wear them regularly. Thanx Invicta!
How about the non-screw crown water resistant ones?

The best review I ever saw! I have 2 pirates.of the Caribbean watches
I love my Invecta watch, it’s 10 years old and still works great
Is it using nh35?
I have 4 Invictas, they're all huge, but work very well. I saw this Pro Diver at my local swap meet last weekend for $40. Box, instructions, everything. I think it's the perfect watch at this price range.
Thanks, great video. I have the blue coloured pro diver and have had no problems with it. I did swap out the metal bracelet for a silicone strap (not a fan of metal bracelets) and as an ex diver, I have no problem with the crown. The bezel works really well with no play and lines up perfectly with the dial markings. All in all, I'm really pleased with this watch, especially for £65.
I've had my Invicta pro diver for 2 years and swim with it several times a week, and have done several dives with it. I've never had an issue at all with water. The automatic NH35A in mine is absurdly accurate... better than some of my Swiss watches. The only thing I don't like about mine is that I have the scalloped bezel instead of the coin bezel. But that's a minor quibble. At < $100, this watch is not just a steal, it's grand larceny.
Grand larceny 😂😂😂💀
My Grand Diver has a scalloped bezel. I LOVE the look. I bought that bezel on purpose. The coin bezel is so boring and old fashioned looking. The Invicta NH35A is a cheap, rough made in China CLONE. The parts are assembled in dusty warehouses in Malaysia. You can buy made in Japan NH35A for the price of an entire Invicta watch. Time accuracy is strictly luck. One of my Invictas is HOPELESSLY bad as a time keeper. The other two are good. My Grand Diver keeps great time.
I have alot of invicta, I swim with it, no problem at all
I absolutely HATE the scalloped bezel! Love the feel of the coin-style bezel and wish I had looked more carefully when I bought my 8926O
@@deplorabledave1048 NH35A has both Malaysia and China, don't be confused

One of the best reviews of any product I’ve ever seen on KZhead. Thanks for sharing your experience.
This is the most in-dept review of the Invicta Pro Diver watch Ive seen online. Very specific. Good description & information. Thankyou.
The bezel is not used for calculating air, it would be impossible to accurately calculate air left in the tank. It is primarily for timing descent and ascent sequences/procedures as well as overall time underwater.
I mean.. If I know my breathing and depth I already can time what my half way point is and bezel towards it. Would I ever? Nah. Dive computer haha.
Nah, the bezel is mostly used for asmr, so you can hear the click, click, clkclkclk bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt
@@tjpanganiban221 I have the watch and I've dove with it. Handled 10 meters for about 1 hour multiple times very well. Lume abseloutely blows. Basically useless for diving. The watch does its job though. Best 50 bucks I've ever spent. A lot of watch for the price.
The bezel is for calculating bottom time along with a dive table. Tells you when you must begin ascent.
@@bangurowned Us divers carry an air pressure gauge though. Mine happens to be integrated with my computer. And we don't carry an "oxygen tank", unless we are doing special deco procedures. Nobody uses a dive watch for remaining dive time, if even for the fact that you might have a leak and not know it. The time tells you nothing then. That's what the PSI gauge is for. :) They are carried to show dive time for No Decompression Limits.

WONDERFUL unbiased and honest review. Thank you! I have about 15 Invictas and admittedly a couple of them do have issues, but I think some people look at Invicta and expect Rolex quality. I can't for the life of me figure out why. I have gone swimming in both pools and the ocean/sea with a few of them I have yet to have an issue with waterproofing

Swore I’d never buy an Invicta. Six Pro Divers later...LOL! Great look and feel of a luxury watch without the price tag. Never looked back. Anyone who has a shred of doubt about this watch should take the time to watch this video. Great job covering all the bases; nice travelogue, too.
This is the most objective review I've ever saw of this specific watch. I think it's pretty great. But tons of people hate this watch because it's a homage or just hate without reason. Now I'm sure about buying this watch. Thank you!

How's it holding up 2 years later? I just got one and it's very nice so far.
An excellent review! So many great talking points: Dispelling/explaining myths about the negative reviews (I too have often thought that competitors would create false negative reviews; shame on them 😡); explaining the oscillator winding function; proper removal of band links; greasing the stem and case; ensuring stem is closed to prevent water seepage in watch; bezel movement. Very thorough, telling it like it is. Thank you so much!
Just picked up my 7th INVICTA today. My second Pro Diver. I have been using these watches now for years. I have never had a single hiccup from any of them. They hold time as well as any Swiss watch, they look Fantastic, and I always get compliments on them. There build is quite good actually and they take a pretty good pounding. You can't beat them at their price point.
I purchased the same watch 3 years ago looks great, wear it every day. Never had a problem and very happy with it. I love it. =D
Finally, an in-depth, unbiased review of the Invicta Pro Diver automatic from an actual consumer. Loved how you called out the idiots that didn't lock down the crown properly. I've owned about a dozen of these Pro Divers. Not all 8926ob's though. I had several different dial colors and bracelet/bezel combination colors to match my wardrobe. Never had issues with any of them. I ended up giving several of them to family members as gifts that preferred automatic watches. The Seiko has been my primary, almost exclusive go-to since the mid-70's. About 15 years ago I ventured out to other brands; including Invicta about 8-9 years ago. I had purchased the 8926ob. After wearing it to work a few times, a co-worker called my watch "trailer park trash" for buying that Invicta. He owned a few automatics >$1000. I couldn't resist this. I challenged him to a quality/performance competition. I told him to pick any of his watches (except a Seiko as I owned several at the time and wanted him to use one of the so-called elite brands he had). He decided to go with his Oris Aquis. Visual and outer structural quality I gave him the nod no arguments. After setting our watches to the time of our work computers (down to the second), we wore the same watches to work every day for a month. In the end, my Invicta gained only 11 seconds more than his Oris. So, he paid an additional $105 per second of accuracy. Granted this was just a desk diver competition but, neither of us were snorkel or scuba divers... which would have been a real quality test. Unless you are working with explosives or a military operation, I don't see paying that much for a few seconds that important.
In the world of watch collecting youre comparing a Tesla to a Junkyard trolley. invictas are financally worthless, no one wants to buy them on resale market. that's probably what your coworker was referencing

Finding this video in 2022. Great review. I'm a novice watch enthusiast and have 3 invictas. 1 quartz and 2 autos. I've had them for years and they've never given me any problems, but I've never taken them in the water. I'll probably have them serviced before I do it but next vacation they're definitely coming into the pool with me! Thanks again for a great review.
Thank you for the honest review. I have two pro divers and have had no problems. I think most watch enthusiasts have an issue with the marketing and of course the whole Rolex homage vs copy argument, but as you stated Invicta doesn't hide that they made the watch. Overall great review!
I got this watch new so long ago it doesn't even have the NH35 movement but instead has the NH25. Annoying that I can't hand wind. Anyway my crystal is no longer clear but looks hazy.
In all fairness to Invicta there's about 40 watch companies or more that have copied the Rolex! For some reason Invicta is the only one that gets hate for it.
The bezel is not for calculating the air in the tanks! It's for timing until decompression has to begin and that is the point when nitrogen builds up in your blood to levels where if you resurfaced you would have bubbles in your blood that would kill you. The first 15 mins is sometimes a different colour because that is the no decompression time at 40 metres depth (limit for recreational diving).
This has to be the best, honest, and thorough review of this watch i've seen
Thank you for a great video. Entertaining, informative, sensible. I've been into Automatic watches for a while. Your video definitely addressed a lot of issues other KZhead channels dare not do.... wear it on the beach. Great video, I'll be watching you in the future.
This has been the most fair and in-depth review of an Invicta I've seen. Thanks so much for sharing!
So true no one really uses dive watches much for actual scuba diving. The bezel is redundant but people do indeed seem overly concerned about it.
The bezel also can be used as a compass, I always use a dive computer when I dive but I've often used the watch bezel as a quick compass. Also, admittedly I usually wear my atomic solar g shock when doing more adventurous activities involving submersion
Own plenty of Invicta watches and never had a problem after many years. I own a lot of high end time pieces and Invicta has my confidence. They have a ton of options to chose from, but I am pleased with the performance, fit and finish. Even with the pricier models of Invictas, I am pleased
Unfairly vilified watch. It’s a great value for money watch, looks great and perfect for a beach holiday. Really nice review!
I have this watch amongst many other much more expensive watches. i love it because it does all you say it does and so much more. . Thank you for taking the trouble to do this excellent video
I’ve had my invicta pro diver for a year now. I absolutely love it. Keeps amazing time I only lose 1 minute a month. Has more revolutions per than a Rolex. I wear it swimming in the shower. I wear it wood splitting. It withstands the shock of an axe hitting wood. This thing is so tuff. I can go from -30 into a nice warm cabin it doesnt fog up or tick slow from the temperature change. I just love it. Will never switch now.
2 years in and my 89 still looks and works wonderful! Silicone grease in the the crown makes a world of difference I agree! Also super good production quality, narration etc.
actually I use the bezel as a timer for reaction times on chemical batches at work. I bought it in hopes that this watch can stand up to being exposed to hot and cold water and random chemicals. It does this very well. I am extremely happy with mine and actually can't wait to buy another one.
Invicta: The Methmaker's Choice 😁
I would have expected to use a Chronograph, but given the conditions described you deffinitly made a good Choice to go for the ruggedness and water resistance of a Diver. Goes to show that a good tool for a job can work excellently even in entirely unrelated jobs with some consideration
Great video and review, thanks for not being a “watch snob” and realizing some of us don’t want to spend $5k to $10k on a watch. I have a couple on these Invicta 8926OB models (as well as other versions of the Pro & Grand Diver) one with the stock ss bracelet and one with a black leather band. Changing the band is an inexpensive way to totally change the look of the watch. I love the look of them, especially at the price point. Invicta Pro-Diver, chronographs like the Casio Edifice models and the slightly more expensive Citizen Eco Drive allow me to have various watches and over the past few years and I’ve been able to buy about 10 watches for about $900-$1,000. My wife and kids can get me a watch for my birthday/father’s day/Christmas gift for only about $100 and I can actually use them without fear of destroying a really expensive watch. Thanks again for making the video.

Thank you for taking the time to make a great video! To be honest, I never watch videos this long, but you managed to keep it interesting and fun. Plus your voice is very relaxing. I've been looking for a video where the watch is tested in water instead of reviewing it in a studio and found yours. Very thorough. Cheers from Costa Rica.
Thanks I appreciate that!
I have worn mine for months and in fact I bought it for a similar holiday in Grand Cayman. I went snorkeling multiple times with the watch and was under water up to 10-15 feet with absolutely no issues. I’ve tracked the accuracy and it’s very consistently between -11 and -9 seconds per day. Great watch for the price, highly recommend it.
Just came across your review. Throughly enjoyed it, thought it was fair and very informative. The Invicta Pro Diver in my opinion is a great watch for the money. I've used mine for fresh/sea water swimming and when out hunting. Its been used and abused and just keeps on ticking. Great bang for buck. I've subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your content.
Already own some Seiko and Citizen divers. I actually took my Invicta Pro Diver to the beach and spent all day in the sand and water. This is is amazing!
Underrated YT channel. Keep it up you deserve more viewers!
Have the pleasure of owning one of these watches, love it to pieces!. Great time keeper, its a handsome boy!, I only have to remember to give it a break and something else!!. People think its a rolex, tell them it's the same as a rolex!, it tells the time!. Seriously, great watch, no complaints at all. Adrian.
A very well done, objective, and comprehensive review! I've been thinking any picking up one of these, as well as another pro driver from them, so I appreciate this video! Especially the tips about lubrication. Just discovered your channel today and subscribed! Thanks again!
I love my Invicta Pro Diver still working for almost 5 year as same it was then, i use always on swimming , my favorite watch . proven its durability
One caveat: if you wear the watch in saltwater, rinse it in freshwater (tap) afterwards to remove the salt residue, which is corrosive.
Not a caveat unique to Invicta, however.
Agreed - I'd even suggest wearing it in the shower. Watches need cleaning on the outside, too.
@@wendytippette8479 Never wear any watches in showers, hot water is bad for the seals over time. Why anyone would wear a watch in the shower is beyond me, take it off, it takes two seconds.
@@johnrichardson5713 I never take my watch off for any reason. It gets cleaned in the shower everyday. Shower temperature water doesn't hurt the seals!
@@DK-jd8bj I think you'll find it does over time. Ask any watch maker and they'd tell you the same. Don't be so dirty, take it off.
This was great. Like you said, there’s (unnecessary) controversy with this brand, and you tackled this diver topic spot on! I think your presentation allowed either pro/con Invicta camp to get sucked into the video and hear you out. Good stuff!
I’ve had two in the past five years. both worked well. They are a good throwaway watch. I love them. One was eceptionally accurate and the other was mediocre. Good item but wish they were bigger. Love the review. Keep it up.
Great video! This is the best review of the Invicta iv’e seen thus far! The silicone tip is truly appreciated!
I love my Invicta pro diver. I also own vintage Rolex and Cartier Santos. The Invicta PD was my gateway into loving watches so its a sentimental thing for sure. Still works great and gets plenty of wrist time. Great video thanks for posting.
LOOOOL, You said Wrist time 😂
@@hollywoodsaint57 it only took 3 years for someone to laugh at my Dad joke. thanks!!!
I bought the pro diver quartz very afordable and looks the same, I'm happy with it!, the quartz movement is also a seiko
I am looking at a pro diver as my first automatic diver watch. I have a cheap g shock and a citizen eco drive that I got 10+ years ago and that's it. Love watches and your review sealed it for me. It'll be a weekend watch for me as I am an industrial maintenance technician and the weekends are the only time I get to wear jewelry. Thanks for an honest review, loved it. Subscribed as well 🙂
I must have watched 100 watch reviews, thanks for putting out something a little different from the others.
Possibly the best review ive seen . Thanks !
There's something to be said for a decent looking watch that works and is affordable. Thanks for taking the time...
I really enjoyed this review - thanks. I own three pro divers and never had any kinds of problems with them
Ive had mine about 8 months. Keeps perfect time when being worn. Like it. Comfortable to wear, has presence. Mine has the other stylee of bezel, much harder to grip and turn the one time i ever tried. I dont dive i wanted an accurate tough watch for work. This is a great watch for the money. I have a seiko sb33(? I think) which competes for wrist time. Theyre both solid and keep excellent time.
love my pro diver! having it for 2 months without issues. love your review. thanks for the info and the details. this seems to be a great value for money watch! cheers!
Glad to hear you like it! I agree - a lot of watch for the money
Just found this review, very comprehensive and great video! I own a Rolex submariner two tone that I bought 11 years ago and as you stated, new ones are ridiculously priced and I didn't want to beat it up at the beach surfing. I bought an Invicta Pro Diver and like you am totally happy with it, and can't even believe you get this much watch for around $75! Anyone who is thinking about getting this watch, you just can't beat it....seriously! I mean nowadays just going out to a nice dinner is going to cost you $75. I don't know how they can sell this much watch for that price point. I'm buying a second one in the two tone with blue dial!
Good video. It's nice to see an informative and unbiased review.
This was my gateway watch! i needed a gold watch for my outfit for a specific event i was going to (Black & Gold Themed party) & i didn't know anything about watches but this was one of the first watches that popped up when i typed "gold watch" into amazon... after searching for a while i decided there was no better looking gold watch at this price so i ordered it! upon receiving the watch i also thought it might be broken when it didn't move but after watching some video reviews on KZhead i learnt everything i needed to know about automatic movements... fast forward 3 years i now own 3 seiko's, 2 orients, 1 citizen, a g-shock for my beater & of course the gold invicta pro diver continuing to be my first love & still working perfectly!
Nice! Glad to hear you've joined the movement (pun intended)!
Outstanding review!!! Specific, concrete and objective. Based on this review I bought one 3 days ago from Amazon. Thank you very much!
Nice! I hope you love it.
