A closer look at one of my custom Nessmuk knives with a pattern and patina aged blade. Beautiful stag handle with brass pins and brass lined rear lanyard hole. These are 1095 high carbon steel. The sheath is one of custom frontier style rawhide sheaths with vintage trade beads and aged tin cones with horse hair. This will also give you a decent look at one of these sheaths set up on a belt. Everything you see is handmade.
That is Nice work! Beautiful job! Best Wishes! M.H.
Your workmanship is amazing! You are creating works of art and family heirlooms!
I've had mine for two years now, the same exact one, and it's my number one game knife. The sheath is holding up very well. Great knife; thanks Mike
That is a seriously awesome knife.
Now that is a gorgeous frontier style sheath. Love it.
Nice work, I like frontier look of the sheath 👍😁💪🏻
Thank you
You're an inspiration, man! Can't wait to get me one. A family heirloom for sure.
Fantastic looking knife and sheath. I'd love one😎
Hey Matt , it's beautiful; and worth every penny!

Hello from Czech Republic. Nice knife. Good job.
my nessmuk is still going strong , about 5 years now. Sheath has been maintained also and is still in great condition. Thanks again ML Knives. I had ordered two of them at the same time, my buddy has cleaned quite a few deer with it.
OUTSTANDING!!!, love that entire package brother. I love the nostalgia that the knife and sheath gives off.
Thank you very much, Appreciated.
Beautiful!
Very nice, looks great with stag handle.
Thanks, stag has a nice look and feel to it.
Wish I had the skill to make something that nice! (i'm good with metal and horrible with most everything else lol) you do great work...almost finished a large bowie and want a vintage mountain man look like that for it, have some bear claws and beads i'd love to hang as well. Will have to get the creative juices going with the materials I have.
Very well done. Love it!
Thank you.
Anytime buddy. Keep up the great work!
Very nice brother!
Very very nice!
Beautiful
just curious..... Did you make Dave Canterbury's bone handled long Hunter's knife? the work that you do is absolutely beautiful!
I just checked out your website. I'm a bit disappointed that I hadn't run across you earlier. Nice stuff; nice "hard use" stuff that a guy can really get a grip on and get things done with. I think we may be doing business soon; I hate "famous & fancy" stuff with no balls and no character..........
Beautiful work !!!...joe in ny
Thanks Joe, Matt
What is the purpose of the inside sheath? Amazing work! Thanks for posting!
It is a thicker liner so it doesn’t cut through. Thanks.
@mlknives Thanks for the response. Makes sense. The welt is fitted to the blade shape and the inner pancake sheath keeps the knife from cutting through and in place; no rattling around in loosed rawhide. It will also be much more quiet, which is better for hunting. Meantime the rawhide is both decorative and a very tough outer shell; probably a much longer lasting sheath. I'm curious because I think in purely practical terms. I'm function over form, all the way. My sheath builds are not elaborate, but they work. I'm just starting to work in rawhide. Lots of possibilities there!
What would it cost for that knife in 1095 3/32 thick & one inch longer blade and a slight swell in the center of the grip on both top and bottom of the antler handle ... No sheath ...
If you go to my website and contact me we can discuss a custom piece. Thank you.
Please send me a e-mail I'm in the market on getting a Nessmuk, except there's a few things I would like to discuss, so Please, contact me via e-mail.
