On December 31,2018. A 2013 Kawasaki 750 f.i 4x4 (side by side) was traveling across lake Stoco in Tweed, Ontario and fell thru the ice. The UTV and fishing hut trailer sank to the bottom of the lake, about 10' under the ice. The recover mission started on Jan 2, 2019 and finished on Jan 4, 2019.
There were no injuries to the two occupants. Only cold feet.
Good job guy's
Guess I'm gonna introduce myself. I'm ken. I'm the one who went through. I will try to update through the coment section and take video for morphingseagull. I will explain what we had to do to get it running and little issues we had after initially getting it running. I will also try to get video and pictures of gear we used for the recovery, and explain what we did. Will take some time. Feel free to coment and ask questions.
Its been2 years and we've received nothing
@@shaan1001 chill m8, prob went out too early again and still out there
Here in Michigan if you don't get the machine out of the water the same day the DNR can fine you for polluting
Wow! That was quite the operation. Good for you guys being able to recover that stuff. You remind me of someone I met years ago at Palmer Rapid’s Twin Music Festival. Subbed you. I hit the like button too. 👍🏻
That was a difficult recovery! Man, sometimes you have to pay to play on the ice! LOL Great video! Cheers from Alaska!
I got my Yamaha 450 dirt bike out. By my self in 50 mile per hour wind It took 12 hours. In the dark, New Year’s Eve , no damage , same distance from shore as you , I had only a wet suite and ladder . Fun to see. Somone else
I learned awhile ago never drive any vehicle onto the ice unless you're absolutely sure about the thickness
Build an a frame above the hole, use large foot print to disperse weight. Lift straight up then pull a frame. Have it out in no time
Yep, but the ice was very thin. Had to pull it to the shore.
Nice job 😅
Literally could have waited two or 3 more days and wouldn’t be in this situation
Whats the orange thing around your neck?
Ice pikes. If I fell thru the ice, they are used to help get out.
My friend just fell in the lake with my bruteforce 750 4x4 and it’s been in the lake olverholster upside down I don’t know anyone and don’t know what to do
Sorry to hear that. If you can post on a local FB page, you might be able to get some help getting it out. Depends on the depth also, you might need a diver.
What happens to the hole after your done?
It took 5 days to freeze solid from what I can remember.
@@DeadGull72 Nice did not kno if you had to mark or cover it or something so kno one els comes across it and falls it .
@@waderobinson4911 we did mark it with flags, wood and anything we could find. But this was a know area with week ice.
This is my comment
But not thick enough for a sxs
It was, but not the river under the late section. He said he knew better, but hot it and sank it.
Just drive it out!
Hahahahaahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
