My dad used to teach em to me, but he's not here to do so now but I found you! Thank you so much
Thank you Trisha! I’m glad we found each other.

Started using foam chucks for warming up, this is a great video for beginners and I'm 52!
Got my first set when I was 13 years old now I'm 60 and you never forget how to kick some ass.
This was very helpful! I used to take martial arts during my teen years and I placed 1st in the nunchuck competition. It felt awesome but it's been over 30 years! I just received my nunchucks and your guidance was perfect! It is never too late to pick up an old skill. I decided, WHY NOT! Becoming the best version of myself taking tiny steps and trying new scary things. Thank you!!!
That's nice
If that is scary for you try highline or enduro on stip trails 😂😂😂
Awesome. Why not is always a great answer!!!
Same here, and I decided it’s time to pick up the nunchucks after decades and I’m 55….it’s never too late…Namaste 🙏
Straight into the information from the start of the video, no annoying preamble. Unprecedented on KZhead
I guess you made this a while ago, but just to let you know, it's still teaching! I'm 59, been training KungFu for a year, and just starting with nunchuks. I learnt a lot from this lesson and am noticing the improvement each time I run it. Thank you.
Awesome. Thanks for that feedback Jonathon! Thanks for training with me!
I just got a pair of nunchucks and started watching your videos and I wanted to thank you for sharing your knowledge. It has been very helpful and I have to say I'm taking your advice with the warm ups and I notice improvements in my technique every day.
huh? I'm a bwaby
Thanks very much for this lesson. Turning my palm downward has really helped, especially as I'm trying to learn the figure 8.
This was so great, finally got my chucks so I can officially practice along with you. So fun and educational.
Thanks again. Your great. Not complex like so many. AWESOME LESSIONS
Awesome chucking, nice tutorial sensei 🙏 thank you as always
Thank you for the refresher course. As kids, we had to watch the movie over and over again to learn his moves, and I am sure you did the same. It's been so many years-somewhere around 40 years, lol-so I just made a pair. and right back at it, your rock.
I'm 43 and finally decided to give into the childhood desire to learn. Saw this video and got one pair of chucks. Yeah just doing 30 seconds orbital front and back and my forearms are fire. 🤣
Excellent 👍 thank was so cool and especially like how you built up to all the moves. Thank you
Thanks for taking the time to show us. I have been practicing by using your video(s) now for about a month and have made some awesome improvements. Thanks so much again, brother.
@@robertarbetman7297 Yes. Every day. Minimum 10 minutes, usually 15 to 20 though...
I've started excercising on nunchacks about week ago, my grip strenght went up. Thank you very much for this tutorial :)
Awesome. Great instruction! I've been having shoulder problems. I've had a pair for 30 years. They are coming back out tmrw for therapy and sharpening my skills.
I am practicing the nunchaku just over thirty five years now but i started out like so many others doing the basic figure Eight and under and over arm catch but in the last few years i have been keen to learn the wrist roll or reversal hurricane and some other fancy moves with the nunchacu and videos like this on youtube have helped me a lot reach my goal.
Just bought my first pair. This video helped a lot. Learned so much in only my first day. Can’t wait to keep practicing.
Awesome. Keep training. Thanks!
Me too
Just finished making my own set from the guy who also has a channel. Now I’m ready to learn. You’re demonstration is very straightforward. They look extremely intimidating but I know that with practice and having the right mindset. I too will be able to master them safely.
I have two nunchakus, steel & wooden. Still practice at 56 yrs. Thanks for your video.
Great teacher, ive always struggled to learn the basics from other videos but you put it across great
This was REALLY help! Thank you!
Very cool video and well explained techniques. I recently signed my future step daughter up for Kung Fu class and then decided to join myself at age 37. I've been going for about a month now and I'm consumed by it. Obviously I'm a long ways off from weapons training, but wanted to do some research. I've always been intrigued by nunchucks, mostly because of TMNT. I'm going to come back to this video series when I'm ready. Thank you Matt!
Thanks for sharing Benjamin and keep training!
Hahaha. Also 37 and also motivated by TMNT. My goal is nunchucks and break dancing. Just like Mikey 😆 Good luck, friend
@BenjaminGrim - For any self defence, forget nunchucks. And if you want to use tools (exception being gun or a short knife), and from a pure self defence, to be efficient quickly > make her learn (and yourself too) self defence using something like a kubaton/kubotan. Nunchucks? Good fun. But none of that is gonna fly in any real life scenario, as some people out there are brutal, are fighting on drugs, and they don't care how much they will hurt you or even if they will kill you (based on my own long term experience).
Excellent lesson, thank you, Sensei.
Very nice demonstration thanks! I will train again following your advices.
learning with you is pure pleasure, thank you and greetings from Poland
Just grabbed my first pair of foam chucks and your videos are PERFECT.
Never hurts to get back to basics !! I enjoyed this lesson emmencely.!! Thank You Sensei.
Thank you for your demonstration very educational, the 8 was very helpful when finding the centre of gravity, it has to and starts from the heart, fluid motion didnt even think it comes natural the way you are showing how it works, with every action there is a reaction, positive or negative and the 8 being the core hurts or can learn to reflect that pain to deal with it, not to hurt but to release tension
got my first set of nunchucks the other day and am looking forward to learning all I can about them! They are a 14 inch wooden version. I have a 3 piece staff my father and I built but never tried nunchucks so looking forward to going through this learning experience. Thanks for the great video!
Thanks for taking time to make these videos available. 🙏👏🙌✌️👌❤️🥋Oss!
Thank you excellent class, I start today
This was great time trying to follow along with the exercises. Will watch again tomorrow.

Great technique. Thank you
Great video man definitely makes me want to chuck around a lot more!!!lol 😎 thx ☺️
great video and demonstration young man!
I just ordered a pair of chucks. It's been years since I've messed around with them . I plan on using your instructions
thank you so much! Helped me a lot
I worked everyday at this since Mid May. I did well and was really liking it except I was growing a fear of getting hit in the elbow. Last night I got hit in the elbow again and the wrist and realized I am just to damn old to incur any more pain points in my body. I am dropping it and my nunchucks are gone. I felt working at it helped with upper body stiffness and joint pain. But those whacks are more than I am willing to pay at 70. Thankyou for the good service and being a part of the videos I have watched.
Email me at Pasquinilli@hotmail.com and like send you some foam chucks
@@pasquinilli Thanks Matt. But I had foam ones as well as wood ones. I need to be all in or all out on this.
I can appreciate that!

Thank you for explaining and willing to share your skills !!
Thank you for watching Ian!
Im so happy and grateful, just received my training nunchuks you will be my first teacher :)
Thanks very helpful
Very very clear teaching! You make it look easy. A good teacher makes a hard activity look easy. A bad teacher makes the simplest thing too darn complicated so you don’t know where to start or where to go. You’re a great teacher! Thanks so much!
Beautifully explained thanks master
Saw the big boss and fists of fury when I was 8, my older brother and I made our first pair the next day. Had some sore wrists and some lumps on the back of my head, but by 10 years old I had single pair mastered. Pretty cool video.
Ohhhhh WOW 👌 Thanks for the cool video ❤️ I keep pratique every day 😀 & I am very happy found your channel 🙏😁👍!!!
Watching this tutorial I learn so much in a easy way!!!thanks sir!!godbless
I just ordered my nunchucks so I'm gonna definitely learn and master that art..That is my goal for 2024...I'm just gonna learn this as a hobby and as a project. I'm pushing 50 yrs and I think this will be a great learning experience..Thank you so much..

I can already feel, that this is going to do wonders for my shoulders. 🙌 I was getting tired of pulling rubber bands, to fix my left shoulder, but this feels like it's going to build the muscles all around the shoulder, and help with flexibility too. 👌

Hello I'm from Minnesota..just bought numbchuks and I will be learning how to use them. Found your video. Good stuff so far will be looking at your videos to learn more. Thank you from Minnesota. I'm getting a helmet with face shield bars to protect my head and face so if I hit my head with the numbchuks I will be okay. Thought that would be a good idea. Look forward to watching and listening to your videos. Thanks godbless 👍
Thank you very much
Whoa this was a master class! Thank you sensei! I wish I could go to your classes. There is no Karate anywhere around my area!

Thank you Sunil!
thanks man. Im going to do this workout
Thank you Lee!
Greetings from Bavaria, Germany! I love the way you teach those things, Matt. It´s on point, motivating, well structured and organized, packed full of knowledge and will be effective, for anybody who´s intrested to get in, or improve their nunchuck skills. I´m absolutely sure about that. We´re blessed for getting that for free. you got me, pushin the abo- button at that point, where you admitted, that age doesn´t matter in case of learning and improving skills. Thats a very important message. Thank you a lot, and stay healthy.
Thanks Koray. I appreciate your comment very much. Keep training!
this is so cool! this video just made my day!!
Awesome. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Thank you. You’re a very clear communicator and explain the moves well. Of all the nunchuck videos on here I chose this one for all the Bruce Lee cred. I don’t regret it. Great video. Can’t wait to try these…..and probably wack myself a few times 😄
Thank you Megan! Enjoy your training!
Thank you...
I used to do double chucks, learning in desert storm in 1990, my driver taught me. We made new one out of boot laces and mre meal box cardboard. Thinking of ordering another couple pair.
That’s so cool. What a fun memory! That era of MRE was very special! Hahaha. Chicken a la king was so nasty but every once in a while you would get all the fixings to make a cheeseburger! And the dried fruit! What was your favorite meal? Haha! Memories rushing back!
