    • This is a great way to loosen up a tight table... Like a primer... Do it a few times. Steal blinds. By the time they start calling anything you stop and another will continue your aggression for you... They are tired of losing blinds or folding. Then play tight.

    • Even them calling your raises is a mistake, because you get to see a flop in position. The real way to combat late position opens is by 3-betting from the blinds.

    • 7-2 are the lowest values that don't connect on a straight, if it's offsuit the only thing you hope by putting your chips is having 7-2-2 on the flop, because if there's anything else you're most likely gonna checkfold the next raise. If you have a single pair too,.you won't have much trust on a single pair with so little value if there's anything above on the flop, and there's most likely gonna be higher

      @JeanFoutre-yi5us@JeanFoutre-yi5us2 ай бұрын
    • @@JeanFoutre-yi5us the odds of getting a full house with 7-2 is no different then getting a full house with K-A. The odds of you getting a straight with 7-2 is no more or less than a straight with 9-A. Like Doyle Brunson said- these new kids rely on math too much and don’t look into the other players eyes enough.

      @maximusfrank2835@maximusfrank28352 ай бұрын
    • @@maximusfrank2835 the odds of getting that are the same, you're right, they're very low on both sides Thing is, with A-9 if you have let say 2-6-9 on the board you have a 9 with the highest card as backup If you have 7-2 on a 3-5-7 flop you have top pair with the lowest backup ever and you're gonna be scared of a straight You're most likely gonna fold 7-2 right after the first bet post-flop even if you get your 7, so was it even worth it to put your chips in the first place? if you're last talker and there was no raise, why not, but if you're in the middle, you can get a raise, and you don't want to get embarked with 7-2. It's really a hand that scream "i'm weak" on every side, you're hoping for a unicorn to appear

      @JeanFoutre-yi5us@JeanFoutre-yi5us2 ай бұрын
    • @@maximusfrank2835 You can't even argue the effet of surprise, since this hand is so classic as a bad hand that people play it for fun, there's casinos where if you can prove that you won win 7-2 every player around the table has to give you 3 Big Blinds. So it's not that discret either

      @JeanFoutre-yi5us@JeanFoutre-yi5us2 ай бұрын
    • @@maximusfrank2835 Basically you have to understand that while putting your chips with this hand, in at least 95% of the case it's not gonna be the strongest hand around the table, and you're gonna get scared before even seeing the turn, let alone the river. So even if you won 1 time on 20 with this hand, consider how much you lost in blinds and how much that hand has ever brought you, i doubt that it's worth it

      @UTINNI_36@UTINNI_36 Жыл бұрын
    • @@UTINNI_36 no because you don't use both hole cards which makes this hand clearly worse. The 2 7 you can connect both cards and board to complete the straight not just 1 of them and the board. that's literally on what I'm trying to get at. Its clearly worse.
