  • Years from now after 2100, people will be going thru town on the adjacent monorail freeway that had to become big and waving at the historic Cremona House & the conductor will be saying to the kids - that is where that old man Matt Cremona spent his last 50 years sanding, fitting, matching and finishing every single thing on that property, every single inch. It is a true story because he recorded all of it and it is still available at some historic web sites from the old formats they once used. Can you imagine doing that amount of work. He used real wood from real trees and old non quantum tools. Not a single part was computer printed. We think he may have even been exposed to dust, aerosols, and solvents. No one does that kind of work any more, and of course we all know why. We don't really live that long and we cannot take it with us, and it is so nice to travel with the family if we can. And perhaps see what people are good at and decide what is best for us. They say he was a very happy person and never showed a bad side. That is why he was so popular.

  • As usual Matt, your attention to detail is over the top. Yet, you are human and put that panel in backwards. Hilarious! Thanks for showing that. I was wondering if you might duplicate the triangle pattern in another few locations? That did turnout great too. However, sometimes less is more. That did bring out the artist in you though. The wife aught to love that kitchen and probably can't wait for you to finish it up.

What options exist in choosing and designing counter tops? Do you have any lessons learned or advice about countertop selection? What are your thoughts on the road not traveled?

Your finish choice looks fantastic and to my eye is spot on. Your vids are so motivating - back to the shop for me to attempt to approach the standard you set 😊
