The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2021 US Open saw Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Great Britain's Emma Raducanu claim the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first major title, with 18-year-old Raducanu becoming the first-ever qualifier to achieve the feat. The 2022 US Open main draw is scheduled to go ahead between August 30 - September 11.

  • One year later, Alcaraz wins the 2022 US OPEN and becomes No.1. Incredible speed of improvement

    • But alliassime still dominates him twice in a row after the US open. Alcaraz only won that because of an easy draw and djokovic not being aloud to play. He’s barely top 10 caliber in reality

    • @@samuelbrown4764 Well, I see your point despite Alcaraz being my favorite player. I wonder if Alcaraz will ever be able to beat FAA. He's never beaten FAA and the matches weren't even close. I used to think Alcaraz didn't have a shot against Sinner but I think he beat Sinner before the US Open once. For whatever it's worth I also like FAA and Sinner. I just hope Alcaraz has a great year in 2023 and I still feel like he accomplished so much this year. I think he took advantage of his opportunities at the US Open and he deserved to win the championship.

  • I can't express in words just how much I love this kid. It feels like he's about to revolutionize the sport. None of the Big 3 played such intelligent all-court tennis at such an early age. Carlitos doesn't like to engage in long, mindless baseline rallies and then hope to outlast his opponent (like Rafa did back in the day) -- instead, he'll try something insane and either commit an unforced error or steal the point from his opponent. This kind of playing style is so much more entertaining to watch. It's hard not to be excited about his career.

  • 2 years later in French Open 2023 Semi Final against Djokovic> cramping!. Is it something he's lacking in his diet? Not stretching enough? Not enough fluids? Change what he eats? It's a recurring pattern. Shouldn't be for a teenager. Hope he gets better. Too much talent for this to happen.
