Since dove season is upon us, we selected three of our most popular shotguns (for under a grand) off of the shelf, and briefly went over some of their key features. I have a Stoeger m3020 20 gauge. Turkey edition. 28 inch barrel, cerakote etc. She is a real gem. Shot a 100 brick of light loads through it today on clays. Cheap 2 3/4, 7/8 ounce loads. Eats everything without a hiccup, and is lights out on target. Hands down my favorite gun in the cupboard.
This is a life saver when you need one the most!
He mentioned what I consider the best semi auto ever made, the beretta 390! If you get the chance to pick one up especially in 20ga, don't pass it up!
I have the stoeger M3500 for about 3.5 years it is my favorite gun for duck hunting has never failed to me. I do clean it and oil it completely every season

All I’ve hunted with for 15 years is a 390. Best gun ever made
Its been 4 years with the SX4 doing a lot of trap and goose hunting in trench or dragging in the floor. Snow, dirt, my negligence and still not a single malfunction.
I'm making a package deal purchase on a 390 Silver Mallard and a sporterized Mauser in 30-06 both for a grand. For being older guns they're in respectable condition. Looking forward to shooting them both! Just subbed your channel.
Remington v3 is a great gun.
20 gauge is getting super popular for all aspects of hunting and sporting. Could y’all do a 20 gauge top contenders?
CZ makes very nice shotguns and they won’t break the bank.
My favorite shotgun that I have is a Browning BPS 20 gauge Medallion

Is the Dog Collar Bandana a required part of the employees attire? Joking boys. Good Video. I'm a Winchester guy and the Trigger guard is also bigger to accommodate gloves on those cold day in the Duck and Goose Blind.
Both guys I duck hunt with use the Stoeger and have had nothing but problems. I use Remington 870 but thinking about the Winchester.
I have the Stoeger M3500 12ga and it’s my favorite shotgun that I’ve shot to date. I’m actually considering getting one in 20ga.
Same here I’ve never had a problem and it’s super reliable. I can go out and put tons of shells out and put never had a cycling problem or a miss fire
How reliable are the 3500s with 2.75s for skeet and dove?
@@neiloliver5317 Had my stoeger for about 3 years now & its performed well once clean and lightly oiled it shot the 2 3/4 7shot without a single hiccup, cleaned it again might have over lubed it cause i took it back out to the range & it stove piped on me a few times but no clicks. They got a break in point as well thats for sure
@@Unknown1-111 thank you. I ended up going with a Girsan MC312 in 3.5 and have been thoroughly impressed so far
Don't forget guys a big point you missed is the Beretta safety is on the front of the trigger guard witch is a big minus for a lot of guys.and you should do a video on the rem vc 3
I have both m3000 and m3500 and I use the m3500 when I’m shooting ducks and geese cause i use 3 1/2 for ducks and geese and I use the m3000 for dove and fox cause i use buck shot for fox and light loads for dove

Which guns are available in 20 gauge?
On my 5th season with a Stoeger M3500. Last season and the current I’ve been having occasional cycling issues. Internet says these guns wear out quicker than the high end guns. Parts aren’t all that expensive which is nice but I’ll probably upgrade next season
Check moaprecision for parts. Upgrade to the belief benilli extractor and inertia spring. Those are probably your issues.
@@JinDoorigh those parts are on national back order. Been waiting weeks now. It’s definitely my extractor and or spring. Can cycle 3” but with 3.5 it won’t hold onto the shell long enough
I’ve had plenty of cycling issues with the exact same gun. I feel bad cause my dad and grandpa got me that gun so I’m hesitant to replace but you can’t call it an all purpose gun when it goes cycle light loads or heavy loads in your case. I think I wanna upgrade

Try cleaning an lubing but wipe some lube off afterwards.

It would have been nice to have heard some of the specifications like the exact weight of each gun , this is always my first consideration when buying a shotgun and I have found that you have to weigh them yourself to ever find out , three different videos of the SX4 ,,,gave three totally different weights,,,however I did enjoy the video and watched all the way through , I am just like you guys , the personable side of a gun is the part that matters most ,, also the availability, can you even get one factor matters,, the Sauer SL-5 semiautomatic are being bought now under 1000 and the removable sling studs and weight 6.6 makes it a top choice for me , however finding one to buy might be a job.
personally I think the Franchi Affinity 3 is a little nicer than the Stoeger with the same design.

You'll never go wrong with a Winchester Super X Gun, I have a Model 1, 2 and 3 and all are excellent, next for me will be the Model 4 in 20 ga..
I have a Mossberg 835 pump action shotgun what would be the best barrel and choke for duckhunting as well as goose I need answers

Shoot the Modified choke with steel shot, you will be good to 40 - 45 yards.
Anyone have a stoeger and hunts real cold. How does it hold up?
Looking at buying my son a SX4, just turned 15 & has outgrown his youth Remington 870. Been looking at a Browning A5 as well, I know the Winchester is a lot cheaper but is it going to be as reliable & there for the long haul?? We’re pretty rough on em down here in the south!!!
Their winchesters are very reliable. I own a winchestwr SX3 SX4 and a SXP and i love them! Then for more expensive shotguns I have a browning BPS 10 gauge, I have a browning Maxus and then aaxus 2 wicked wing and i love every single one of them never had problems with any of them my SXP SX3 I have had for over 7 years the SX4 I only had for 4 years but I have dropped it in mud, water you name it runs like a champ. I'll back up browning and Winchester every day of the week cause they never let me down

What about shotgun slugs for deer (only hunt deer once a year). Which would best perform within 70 yards. Thanks.
Barrel ammo selection is key w slugs try Remington buck hammer reduce velocity rifles slugs in 2.5

Would the beretta a300 ultima be a better gun than the a300 outlander?
Yes it is! Oversized charging handle and bolt release. Beveled loading port. I’ve had mine for two years and not a single problem. I have yet to clean it. Dove, deer and duck hunt with mine
You might want to check out the girsan mc312 to me it's a ton better than the stoger. I have both and the 312 is far superior.
How do the new gas guns do in extreme cold weather
How would the Remington V3 rate amongst these?
Meh. I’ve had both versamax and a v3. V3 broke after 2 years of hunting hard.. just traded them both in for a benelli
they make a kick pad for the M3000 but finding one... well, that's another story.
Can you do a best under 2k shotgun for people looking for higher end semi

I Love my M3000, purchased 5 years ago. I have put probably 2500 rounds through it shooting sporting clays after break in. I cleaned and oiled it before break in. Noticed a zipping sound during break in (with 50 round of 3 inch # 4shot) and during the round of 100 clays the same day. So off to KZhead and found some 3 gun mod videos saying to polish the machine marks off the mag tube where the recoil spring rides. I started with 400 grit then 600 and 800 and finished with a 1000 wet with rubbing alcohol. Now all I hear is bang and click as the next round enters the chamber. With 7 1/2 club loads it is as comfortable as my buddies Benelli Super Black Eagle. The big difference between the 2 is the Benelli recoils up and the Stoeger pulls the barrel down. I like this for true pairs as it opens my sight picture more for faster acquisition. Be careful removing the mag spring retaing plug, its tight. Have fun with it. Its nice shooter.

Not all Remington is junk. I have several Remington 1100 shotguns and several Remington 700 that are great guns
@@danhal9966 I have 3 older Remington shotguns that are definitely great. Two old 870 Police models and a sportsman 48. Old Remingtons are great, anything they’ve made recently is probably going to be garbage. It’s unfortunate but the Remington that became legendary is producing garbage these days.
I’ve shot 3 cases of shells just cleaned it for first time no problems my friend has shot 15 cases through his no problems and I also shot skeet low base as well 3”
@@thomasrosado1374 I’m glad yours is working well for you. I still wouldn’t buy one for $900 but I’m sure somebody would say the same thing about shotguns I own.
I'd take that Winchester over any of them I have had berettas benellis and brownings the brownings and winchesters I have never had problems with. Berettas, benellis all had problems with never agian

Its not a semi automatic. The closest semi automatic you can get on sale is the Benlli Montefeltro. That supernova is lights out, I have two 28inch and then the supernova tac for turkeys.
Stoeger is a wholly owned subsidiary of Benelli which is owned by Beretta. Get the point.

Michael orskog dont get me wrong it is a reliable gun but the fit and finish on remington these days has really gone down hill plus if you need a service or to warranty it can you really trust a company thats going bankrupt to do that
@@aideningram434 my V3 fit and finish is no where near as nice as my remingtons from 08 and before. I cycled it though and liked it alot more then the Baretta on the range. They were same sticker price but I think overall the remington was the better product. I'm excited for everyone to take their guns and redesign or improve them and start to re release. Ruger I am hoping steps up their quality and let's marlin be the bargain brand since they own them now.

After sighting in at 60 feet, I could easily cover 5 shots with a nickel kzhead.infoUgkxQt2uORDRfFOVSrO4idv4B90ThT6EOnEL ! Truly a pleasure to shoot! Scope was easy to adjust for eye relief. Only problem the varmints must have seen it delivered lol!Update: So impressed with shot groups at 30 yards I purchased a Hammers 3×9 with adjustable Objective scope! Now a true nail driver!

The Ultima is the new Beretta a300 replacement of the outlander. It's upgraded, in max5 camo, and a little better version of the gun.
About $850
I will be purchasing a Stoeger 3500 as I want a cheap good quality semi auto I can Chuck around and not be too precious about. I also own an SX3 and I would say to anyone wanting to buy the Portuguese made SX4 not to bother. They’re overpriced for what they are and the quality is not the same as the FN made SX3. The “improvements” are not that great, recoil is worse and the bolt handles tend to fall out, the newer guns have had this fixed I think ?!! The safety catch is square along with the bolt release..... that’s about it. Honestly buy an SX3 👍🏻
I shoot an SX4 and my son has a M3000. Anytime he gets a chance, he grabs my SX4.
Very knowledgeable and able to explain benefits very well; but you guys need to work on not saying “uh” or “um” every 5 seconds. Thanks for the video though.

@@dillonautrey3423 My guy loves his SA-08, 20 ga youth. He's growing out of it, looking for a 12ga. Seems SA-08 was avail. in a 12 but I can't seem to find one now. Some internet articles suggest maybe they were an ATA Arms private label for Weatherby? ATA now has a "CY" series which looks interesting for the ~$500 market
For that price range look at a pump action. Benelli nova will serve you for years and years with high round count. If you’re not shooting thousands of rounds a year then maybe a Mossberg
My Franchi Affinity 3 shoots light or heavy loads, never had a problem. I can't make myself buy a "made in Turkey" firearm, sorry, not sorry.
If price was not a problem everyone would have a SBE 3 gas guns are not that cool anymore.
Gas guns are much better in my opinion. Far less recoil over inertia driven guns. Also a common misconception is that gas guns are hard to clean. Not true at all.
No advantage over sx3 it has endless disadvantages tho
