M3 MacBook Air One Month Later - DON'T Listen To The Reviewers!

There's a problem with MacBook Air Reviews... most reviews focus on what it doesn't have rather than what it has, and the experience of using this laptop is something that most reviewers don't focus on in favor of talking about how fast it performs in benchmarks, and while that information is useful, it's not useful for those looking for a solid laptop with a great design, good specs, and battery life to spare. It's why I don't think you should listen to most MacBook Air reviews... maybe even mine.

Be careful! Amazon never refunded me for a M! macbook pro! Everything I have done hasn't helped. Just beware.
Tech KZheadrs need to stop talking about video editing capabilities, VERY few people actually do this.
And even if people DID edit videos, whatever device you're coming from is definitely slower than the Air anyway given most people keep their computers for at least 5 years. I for instance have a 10ish year old HP Elite book 1040 g1 with 4GB ram. Old ahh laptop. ANYTHING even remotely more powerful will do lots of good for me, heck if not for the design I'd even be plenty happy with the last intel MacBook air because it looks better than and is more powerful than my stone age laptop, but some reviewers want me to believe I need an m3 max as if I'm Marques editing an 8k 30 video.
@@messicomps344that and well most people who are spending money on a MacBook for video editing aren't really going for the air.
Amen to that. Though I guess it's just a way of measuring a laptop's performance on stuff that they are actually familiar with.
I don't know. Even school kids do video editing on their smartphones.
@@brachiator1they don’t edit on anything special though for most of them at least, most of them use CapCut which isn’t a very strong editing software, what I think he (the commenter) is referring to is softwares like adobe premier pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci resolve studio which are all extremely lag inducing to lower end and middle end computers and laptops
Thankyou! I am 67, have an Acer laptop that’s close to death and have used my iPad Air 4 for the past 5 years. I’m now in school again and dreaming in my new life and the iPad just isn’t enough. This was most helpful to me. You’re savvy AND creative, funny and you relate to people exceptionally well. Best for me of all the Mac reviews out there. I’m sold!😄👏💟🕉️
If you are keeping the iPad and not trading it in or whatever, look into “continuity features” when you get your MacBook. Apple products are designed to work well with other Apple products, and there’s about a dozen neat things you could do with the iPad and MacBook together you couldn’t do with other laptops. Even if you find only one or two of them useful, it’s still useful to know.
I just ordered my second MacBook Air, the M3. My M1 is still extremely fast and capable, but it's 4 years old now and wanted to update. I'm getting the M3 with 16GB Memory, and 1TB SSD. I am a graphic designer and use Adobe software. I had to use Windows for a job I once had. I don't think I ever did understand that insanity. I was always having to call IT! Then, for a job interview, I sat down at an old Mac IIci to design an ad. I had never used a Mac in my life! I sat down, scanned the logo, did some creative tweaking and designed the add to perfection! I was hired on the spot! I have never used anything but Apple products since! If you have no experience with a Mac, you couldn't possibly understand why Mac users are completely in love with Apple!
Finally a sensible take on the MacBook Air where you don’t overload the laptop and complain that it heats up and throttles. None of those benchmarks and nit picking matters in the real world for most people. Kudos to you Greg, for this practical review of this superb machine.
most people actually use their laptop and don't just buy them as expensive furniture with an apple logo ... this being said -- air is for light users -- period -- if anyone buys an air expecting anything else he's a moron -- and these light users that never open any 3d app or a rendering app can do just fine with 8gb of ram and maybe a 512 ssd
@@MultiNakirWhat is light use? I use my laptop for business, including Zoom calls. This includes having multiple tabs open for research and lots of review and creation of documents.
@@brachiator1 That's exactly what a light user does. NO CPU or GPU intensive tasks
@@brachiator1 But the only problem I have is the Base Model storage. Like bro 256Gb in 2024? and additional $200 for another 256 Gb ? Thats the biggest issue I have, like are they putting Platinum in their SSDs ?
I use adobe illustrator, photoshop, and planning to use premiere pro and for midi keyboard too, well, I wont use them altogether. Is macbook air would be enough?
This is a great review! Finally someone did a review that just talks about performance benchmarks and instead focuses on what the real usage for this particular product will be and its market target. And by the way, awesome Metal Gear Solid shirt!
that outro talk was the best.. having something that resonates with you ! Gold.
Thank you for finally doing a review for those of us who aren’t editors, coders, etc. I have an M2 Pro for heavy school / teaching / presentation building.
Love my M3 15 inch mac air. It really does everything I need it to do. Piano music, travel and home viewing and use. Great video Greg!
I just got one too and I love it
Which color is the best?
@@paulsaha2242silver or midnight
Great video. Feels different to usual and all the better for it. I have been getting fed up with KZheadrs being so disconnected from reality when banging on about the specs. If I said to my family members that have 8GB machines “oh no, you have the base model, how unfortunate” they’d be like: ‘what the heck are you on about?’
I had the metal MacBook Pro from 2009 and it lasted damn near a decade. Very little slowdown near the end of its life. I switched to a windows gaming pc from 2019 on, but yearned for Mac OS, rather than just having iOS. I just replaced my 2020 iPad Pro today with a MacBook Air M3 and couldn't be happier to delve back into Mac OS, as if I never left.
Thanks for the review Greg, the Air, M1, M2, M3 are so powerful they are all amazing, Nice very creepy zoom in on you thinking of what to write next by the way, I can see you have another career beckoning. I use Adobe Illustrator most, then a bit of Photoshop and I'm trying to learn Blender and my current Mac, a 2017 iMac i5 21" (OS now on an external SSD which tripled it's speed) is actually good enough for almost all my tasks so these much much newer machines, even though they are considered at the low end must be perfect for the majority of users. Something we could only dream about just a few short years ago. I'm pretty sure now, I'm going for an M3 Air soon, with extra ram and disk space. Cheers.
Greg, thank you for putting on this video. I totally agree with you. I use my mac like normal people. Yes, I do some powerpoint slide presentations, save photos, and work on documents and spreadsheets. Occassionally I watch youtube videos "Yours" and also listen to lots of music and podcast. I even still use my 2012 Macbook pro with the open core legacy patcher and it works fine for me. Again, Thank You for this video, I enjoyed watching it. Dave from Fulton, IL
Great video dude! I have just purchased one of these and have these weird smudge/marks I can see when the screen is black? Is this normal? Kinda looks like when you get some bubbles in a screen protector. Mac is like 2 weeks old if that.
Great to see a real life review done by someone with a head screwed on. I’ve purchased a base model M3 MBA a month ago, swapped from a touchbar intel MBP and I am very happy with it. I spoke to an Apple advisor before I got one and they recommended the base model based on my needs. I was actually surprised that they didn’t try to sell me a more expensive model. It’s so much crispier and faster than my old MBP, an absolute pleasure to use for my daily tasks and uni work.
Greg I just wanna say, fantastic video man keep up the great work 👍🏻
Just bought an M3 Macbook Air 16GB RAM 512GB SSD and I LOVE IT! Huge upgrade over my 2020 Macbook Air 10gen i5 8GB RAM 500GB SSD.
Great review. The added personal story at the end really resonated with me. It’s important to recognize that not everyone is editing videos or producing music and a good review articulates where certain opinions are nit picking. I have become much more self aware when purchasing items these days. You can always “future proof” and buy a loaded out device, but do you want that same device for 10 years? Is $200 to upgrade ram worth it if you aren’t maximizing its capabilities? I just purchased the MacBook Air 15” to upgrade from my 2017 Intel MacBook Pro and I love it. It’s simple, snappy and the midnight finish is awesome.
Bought this and love it, its my first return to mac in almost a decade & its been smooht sailing... I got it mainly for media consumption and browsing.. no complaints so far. The Battery life is absolutely exceptional, my goodness it just doesn't die!!! I've got the base model & its competent for my needs, U'd need to be doing some majorly exceptional power hungry things to complain with this base!
I have a MacBook Pro M3 for video editing. I also have the base Air M3 for use on the road. I can tell you it can handle a pretty heavy 4K Premiere Pro project. It's amazing. Way better than my old I7 laptop with 16GB of memory.
This is the comment iv'e been waiting for. Thank-you sooouuu much Larry!!!
So for a dummy like me I have a question if you don’t mind . I’m new to podcasting but after 3 episodes it took off (the irishman podcast ) . It’s just an audio podcast now but who knows it may go to video sometime . I edit in garage band so far . Will the 8GB 15” base model be sufficient in your opinion ??
@@Theirishmanpod im using the base model, easily capable of all of this.
@@bobbyjaybeaumontheyy bruh i want to buy mackbook air m3 but my budget is for base model only and i want to start video editing and also want to make music beats will it be done on it? And 256spacr is enough?
@@Aron20060 yes easily for this sort of work , it’s when you are going to be going heavy on it that it would struggle but doubt you’d reach that. Just get it and enjoy it ! :)
Thanks for your perspective!
Thanks for this refreshingly realistic point of view! I know from experience that the 8/256 base model is enough for me, yet almost every reviewer keeps rambling on and on about "omg you need to upgrade the RAM and SSD otherwise this machine will totally be outdated within a year!". I have a powerful desktop, so when I need power I use that. The laptop is for browsing and word documents, not much more.
Thank you for this approach to tech reviews for the everyday consumer!
Great video! More reviews should be like this! I'm getting my wife a 15" MBA for her birthday soon to replace her 2017 MBP and one for me to replace my M1 iMac. I can't wait! I played with the 15" at Best Buy yesterday and The screen looked better than my iMac M1 and the M3 was definitely more snappy and smooth on the interface. However, selling a laptop with 8GB RAM in 2024 is just shameful.
I bought the AIR M3 16GB with 512G Storage. If I need extra I don't mind connecting to external storage. Thanks Greg. Your Review helped a lot. It's an amazing laptop.
Great video Greg! It’s always a treat to get your POV.
Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day.
great video who sees normal usage also, upgrading to the air from 2014 MBP with i7 and 16gb ram it held perfectly but now the apps are crashing and unsupported apps for it.
I love this video. all last week, I watched a ton of videos to decide on my next Mac after my 16gb m1 Mac mini ( needed the portability) and they all compared the MacBook Air 15 and the MacBook Pro. They made it seem like the 13 was a nonstarter for “serious users”. I walked in the Apple Store to test them all out and the 13 air was absolutely perfect for me. I bought the 16gb version right then and there and have been absolutely giddy with it.
If you could only get one upgrade, would it be ram or ssd? Would you pick a MacBook Air M2 chip with 16 gb ram over a MBA M3 chip with 8gb ram ?
I use a 2018 macbook air and need to change it, because it is starting to get slow since a use it for work. +40 tabs of safari open +photoshop +3tabs of excel. You think the 8gb will work? Should i go for the 16gb definitely?
Exactly the video i was searching for! Thank you!! Too many reviews focus on benchmarks which are useless for average users
I do adobe illustrator and adobe photoshop open both same time together with google chrome would this basic one enough?
Which adapter should I get? The normal one or the one with 2 ports or the 70W adapter?
Great video! My only concern is whether the base model of 8G Memory can hold for the daily multitasking uses, say 20-30 tabs, 8-10 pdfs, emails, 5-6 words and slides, and several other light apps like music. Really hate to wait for 10 secs when switching
no, i have a base model and it can hold 15 tabs with word and excel open. i dont imagine it handling 30 tabs smoothly, it will work, but it wont be snappy and you would notice it when switching between tabs.
At/from 10:24 why is this macbook slow? Why opens the applications slow, why loads the content of the applications so slowly? This is very weird for me. I would really like to know. I really want to buy one, but its really weird, frustrating for me.
Agree with the comments, your videos are getting greater. Thanks, I learnt a lot!
100%, ive been a casual observer for a while and it seems like he has finally found his own unique groove, which is great to see.
I want to buy macbook for fusion 360(3d model) , any recommendations from exp macbook user? (Budget user here)
I have an M1 Max Mac Studio that I use as my work computer as well as using Final Cut Pro as a hobby. Want to get a laptop for mobile work as well as using Final Cut and can’t decide between the M3 air or the M3 pro. I believe both have the same ProRes video decoders (I know the M1 max has double). How important is the RAM for Final Cut projects? I was considering 24 gigs if I get the air or 36 gigs if I get the pro. My main concern is running into issues using Final Cut on the air which is why I was thinking 24 gigs. Please advise and thank you! BTW, I’ve been a subscriber for a while now and really enjoy your content and respect your opinion.
If I had a Mac Studio at home for power I won’t need another pro for portability, just saying, probably a 16 512 would be more than enough, save some money and you would be able to work as well on the to.
An air right now is more powerful than a MBP i9 from 2019.
Bro, your shining reference had me spit out my coffee. That was awesome subd
This review was GREAT…thank you! Literally cracked me up
Mister! I agree your point of view! but I do want to know if it meets minimum requirement of my use.... so I see their videos especial for gaming. LOL
I’ve been so bored of tech vids lately - but your content is genuinely brilliant!
Great video M3 MBA is exactly what I need for my uses! The only sticking point is whether to get 8 or 16GB RAM!
If you’re doing photo/video editing, 16, if not 8.
Please get the 16GB
Get the 16 gig and future proof it. Unless you like getting a new laptop every three years or so.
16gb - the answer is 16gb. 8gb might be fine today, but it's going to get real tight and limiting in 2 years. 16Gb should be the absolute minimum for laptop you intend to have for at least 3 years(and hopefully much longer).
I love how many people are able to see into the future, and predict your memory needs 2 or 3 years from now. If your budget only allows for 8GB, then go for it. If most of your work is browser based and MS Office, you will be fine for years to come. These are very mature apps, and I doubt very much that you'll **need** more memory in a couple of years. Now, maybe your computer use changes a lot in the coming years. Maybe your light Excel use turns into heavy data modeling and analytics. If that happens, then by all means buy a new computer, you've earned it, and your higher-paying new career means you can easily afford a new computer. If you do have some room in the budget, I think the first upgrade should be memory, and if your budget allows, then by all means, go for 16GB, as this will likely be the first bottleneck you encounter in the future. But if that means going over budget, don't. Save you money, be financially responsible and sleep well knowing that for most people, 8GB will be plenty for the foreseeable future. I spent 30 years working for a company that actually makes computer memory. The growth curve for amount of memory a typical user needs has flattened out quite a bit. Getting 8GB now won't mean you have to replace it in 2 or 3 years unless your computing needs change dramatically.
I fully agree with this!I love tech but I have no use for max performance.I have used and enjoyed my base level M3 macbook air every day since the day it dropped with out a single issue.
Greg, you did an awesome review. I’m sick of the bench marks and KZheadrs telling me not to bother spending money on memory. I’m moving up from an M1 when it came out and I listened to the KZheadrs rail on about expensive memory. I’ll never skimp on memory again. If you need it you need it.
Excellent work. Best review I’ve seen yet.
I love your take on this. Appreciate it man
The biggest reason im looking at the "Pro" vs the "Air" is the 120hz screen. Im looking for middle of the road gaming with GeForce now, and 120hz is the desired sweet spot for that. Plus port selection is a big deal, to at least me.
Your edit8ng is getting better and better. Thanks.
Long-time viewer here. This was by far the weirdest...and most entertaining...review of a Macbook I've seen. Definitely not boring and I enjoyed your reasonable takes! Would definitely like more vids like this!
Finally a review that is honest !! I bougth the M3 MBA 15 Starlight to replace my M2 MBA 13 because I needed more screen because my eyes are getting old! And I got $670 for my M2 Base model trade in!! That made this a $600 bargain from the M2 !! I laughed at the reviews that told people to buy a 3 year old M1 Computer to save money !! HELLO !!! It's Apple not windows !!! Thanks for the Great review!! I love my M3!! Its fast!!
Wouldn't it have been better to sell the MacBook on ebay instead of doing a trade-in? You'd have made more of a bargain I'm sure
Good video. Im about to go pick up my first macbook ever this weekend, hopefully the 16gb M3 Air are still in stock. Im glad to hear people are saying the 8gb can be decent, but i want as little issues as possible in case i end up working on some ambitious projects lol. I also used the latest 2010 iMacs when i was learning adobe in high-school for my multimedia class. Its gonna be great having this lightweight machine
That death stare was longer than usual...Sold! Time to buy a MacBook!
Still on the MacBook Air M1 base model. Edit basic videos on it sometimes, but mostly normal everyday tasks and it's just as quick as it was over 3 years ago.
Some one help me, MBA M3 vs M1 Pro 14’, which ones is better?
I think this may be the best MacBook Air review I’ve seen so far. I’m still using my 15inch MacBook Pro from 2013. It runs Sonoma just fine. Battery life is not great, but sufficient. So I do need an upgrade the M3 air looks great.
Thank you for clearing that up with the average consumer! this makes a lot of sense.
I always used to go directly to Pro models when in need of a new laptop cause back in intel days Air sucked & only Pros had bigger display. But now with Apple silicone & 15” option, the difference between Pro & Air are minimal for most people.
im keen to get a 15!
I've been click happy for the past 3 days. Actually considering my serious unfriendly face of a budget to invest on this piece of art but I landed here and cracked a laugh! Thx bro I needed that 😂😂🤣
Agreed! I'm rather please with my base model purchase. It's a beautiful thing actually and half the price of what I paid in 2016 and 2011. Add a NVME and T4 caddy and you're nearly done. I deleted iMovie and GarageBand to save space for Final Cut and Logic. Docs and photos saved to the cloud and I have plenty of storage left. Thanks for a great review.
I upgraded from a 2017 MacBook to m3 MacBook Air 16 gb memory. It works great and I love it
Great video, and nice to see someone focus on how good the machine is! I picked up the M3 Air with 8GB RAM & 256GB SSD to capture retro game footage on OBS, edit it on DaVinci Resolve, and record/add audio recorded in Audacity, and the thing never skips a beat. The export times on videos in DaVinci Resolve are insanely fast, so the base model M3 Air is so far more than enough for what I need.
I have order the same version. As the other reviewers are shitting on the 8 gigs version, is there anything you noticed that was challenging the ram?
Picked up my new M3 MacBook Air from Applestore Bluewater yesterday, could not be happier, beautiful keyboard and superb screen, I was worried it wasn't as good a screen as the 14" Pro which I was considering but really now I have it, I don't care, this screen is fantastic.
so are u saying, like, if i buy an air m3 with 8gb of ram and 512 gb of memory, it will be okay? I'm a programmer and i gonna start my master degree, just wanna know if i should buy an 8gb ou 16gb ram
I am sure there will be people in your class using far less capable laptops that will do just fine. Don’t trick yourself into feeling like the only option is maxing out specs to do well in your masters program.
What about M2 base model??? Compared to M3 Macbook Air,, do they have significant difference??
Hi adore my M2 15 inch and it’s so underrated compared to the MacBook Pro and in my opinion the air looks much better. Great video buddy.
Thank you 🙏
I do enjoy the same model as you, but it's not underrated compared to a Pro models just because it's not comparable. These are different devices for different applications. There's nothing to compare between them.
Actually many people are cross shopping, especially those who want a slightly larger screen. And despite the Air moniker, they hold their own against some of the fastest Intel Windows laptops. People did professional work on much, much slower devices and got their job done.
@@TheSpamabys people do strange, sometimes stupid things. If you even can do some professional work on a Air, doesn't mean you should. There's nothing better than using things as intended. They always perform well. If you're a pro, and do some serious work on a Mac regularly, you just need a pro model. It'll help you to make more money, as you'll do the job faster and with less stress. Air is an amazing solution for people with basic workload. If you use it just for fun - 13 inch model is great, for more prolonged work 15 is so much better choice. But it should be something relatively simple. Than everything will be alright. Trying to regularly rendering 4K will get you nothing but disappointment.
Random shining inserts made me chuckle
I liked the touch about THURSDAY. If I had done it, I would have stopped at the scene with the text on the pages and not gone on, but probably would have added some different paragraph layouts. But yea, THURSDAY. Nice touch!
I wish we had reviews tested with very large excel sheets and CAD software. That would be nice.
Looking to buy an M3 laptop. Love your video, it's more realistic to the average user.
I just bought myself a M1 Pro MacBook Pro, and i cant think of any better value for money. I dont really care about the higher weight and the main point for me was the better display with 120hz. I have been using high refresh rates for years and can not go back… Also the base modell came with 16gb ram and 512gb ssd which is perfectly fine for the stuff i do. Great Vid
M1 Pro is a great chip and for some tasks (working with Logic Pro for example) is still better than a vanilla M3
I got so used to the 120Hz on my old iPad pro that I would never step back again.
I’m checking the refurb store at apple often and they’re that good, not only the pro 14 but the air 15 with higher specs, they sell quickly.
hahaha, love the more comedic edge, suits you man, keep it going! Its true also, those of us who want an Air are sick and tired of listening to youtubers waffle on about the same geekbench scores.
Finally, a reviewer who is brutally honest thanks for this video. It really helped me decide on getting to MacBook Air, which is a definite, yes
Indeed, the best thing about the Mac experience IS the macOS. Taylor made for the hardware which is much more important than non Mac users seem to understand. 😏 And yes, I still have a MB Air first issue (the one that came out of the envelope 17 years ago if you remember) and although it can do only documents and some old apps no longer running on newer Macs (and has no more battery inside😅), it is still a sight to behold and impressing everyone seeing it (and has only one USB, one video port and one headphones jack). 😀👍
Just thank you I went from MacBook Air m1 to M1 Pro thinking I needed the performance boost missed out on the portability and fanless design that I can’t live without and sold the 14 mbp M1 Pro and got an air again and won’t be selling it until m9 drops 😅 also they edit the os whatever it is windows or Linux or Mac so much that the intended use of the system is lost like embrace what ever is ur using and stop trying to make one look like the other or vis. Versa ❤
If you are not interested in benchmarks you don't need the M3 MBA. The M2 or even M1 can do the same things but are much cheaper...
I bought one.. way better than any other windows laptop I've bought and there's been a lot. The last one was a surface pro 8. This one is silent/fast/battery lasts way way way longer and it's still fast and silent unplugged. Also those like me that have been Windows users forever.. just put Parallels/windows 11 on it. Windows 11 on a Macbook air is a better experience than my Microsoft surface device with WIndows 11.. that's crazy to think about, benchmarks faster too. And everything that I've thrown at the ARM version of Windows 11 has worked so far.
I have the MacBook Pro 16 and I love the sound the display and everything else about it
Large cafe latte for me, thanks.
super helpful vid. cheers!
I just bought the Pro M3 18 GB 512 GB MacBook Pro. The 16 GB version of the Air is almost the same price as the Pro.
Been saying this too. For almost everyone the Air is more capable then their everyday needs. It’s even strong enough for most audio producers. Most KZheadrs that are into video editing would be fine also. They seem to forget that they are shooting 8k or 4 k videos in hdr, editing and uploading in 4k to be viewed by the public that watch on default quality settings witch usually defaults to 720 or 1080p.
Ok, ok Garg now i usually give you a little stick, but this was a really well made and thought out video.. well played sir, well played 👍🏼
Thanks for this clear headed, sensible POV. My parents took a loan out to get me a PowerBook 165c (160MB hard drive, 9” diagonal screen, but…256 colors!). Still breaks my heart to think of their sacrifice. It was $3000. SMH. Yes, I fully agree about how much these devices bring out our creative sides and absolutely agree that a machine like this or anything near peer this generation (M1, M2) is pretty sick to own and use. So stop complaining and start creating. Do it for those who paid through the nose for you and for yourself. After a review like this, I’m just glad I can actually afford one. #blessed
Air 13.6" M3 16GB RAM is something I consider to buy. According to my research, Pro 14" M3 16GB RAM with same specs has better performance because Air has no cooling. Me with 60+ tabs opened, doing something in Photoshop at the same time,... I imagine with the Air the temperature goes very high. Can you comment the thermal throttling? Is it bareable? Thanks!
Great review for the everyday user!

Amazing review.
The air has the 15” option and the pro has the 120hz screen. Also the SD slot on the pro is essential if your into photography.
unless you have a card reader...
@@MrSimonj1970 Thank you!! people are acting like the SD slot is an actual selling point...Takes seconds to transfer photos from an SD card, and back into the bag goes the card reader. Of course its more convenient built-in, but its a total non-issue
Thank you 🙏🏻😊 somebody on KZhead is listening! I hate all these other KZheadrs that literally are trying to max out MacBook airs CONSTANTLY!😂 LIKE BRO IT'S AN AIR IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE PRO. Thank you for giving a realistic review of these laptops 🙏🏻💻 💯 👍🏻
Honest question: Why did you buy the Apple watch ULTRA then lol?
Thx for the eye opening review, now i know i dont need to spend 400 dollars more for opening word sheets a page or two on safari and spotify at the same time
I had the m2 base model and I loved it ! The only thing I didn’t like about it was I spend most of my time on Twitch watching streams. If I tabbed more than 3 streams I would enter the “yellow” zone

you'll be ok bud but get a bit more ram and hdd space
