The necklace being so decorative felt a tad heavy with the details of the top. I feel like a different necklace would’ve been better, a simple choker or a dainty chain. Still love this outfit, and I thank you for keeping the fashions of my teen years alive :) ❤
That’s a cool take on it!! The velvet was a really nice touch. The accessories were perfect. I think personally, I would have gone whimsigoth with it; brown corduroy long skirt, chunky brown cowboy boots with the shirt uncropped, and the belt over it. Or mixing black leather vest and velvet flared pants for a more alt vibe An updo (pony or claw clip)

The shirt wasnt really ugly it was just big and maybe the neckline cut was a bit high for the shirt being so long so cropping it made it feel younger, but I could've never seen the potential in that tho you've got a super good eye!!

The shirt in the beginning was definitely 2000s to me, it probably would've been a weird mom purchase from Ross or Xmas gift from Grandma. Ofc though the people with no foresight like me would have just worn it like that with the jeans and sneakers.
