Arya Stark - Top 20 Best Moments | Game of Thrones
This video contains spoilers from the first through the eighth season of Game of Thrones. Arya is a fiercely independent woman who is unconstrained by social expectations like gender roles, courtly virtues, class distinctions, and the expectations of her parents and siblings. Once she begins the journey to King's Landing, however, she endures a constant stream of loss and trauma. She has taken to listing off the names of each person she intends to kill each night before she sleeps. Following the deaths of Cersei and the Mountain, her list is officially complete. Hope you all enjoy this compilation of her. 🎬😍

  • Arya is one of the most powerful roles in GOT. Growing up from little girl to an absolute dangerous assassine. And she learned so much. Best scene i guess is the fight against Brienne. Especially when Brienne realized, that this "little girl" can beat her ...

    • Even more so, the way Brienne's expression instantly changes the moment Arya responds saying "No one" when asked who trained her. I think Brienne knew instantly what she meant or at least knew rumors of the faceless man and was actually scared of Arya from then on. IMO Arya's story is the best of the GOT story.

  • I love the affection Sandor has for Arya. He would never hurt her or let her be hurt. Such a tough, hard man, softened by a little girl. The only thing he caught for out of love, even at the very end. He protected her from becoming him.

    • Honestly, that was one of the things I loved about the Hound, Sandor, he always did his best to protect the Stark girls without actually looking like he was protecting them. Towards the end, I always saw him as Arya's rude-ass uncle more than anything else.

    • Spoilers. The whole show should’ve ended with arya killing the nightking. Because the stuff that happens afterwards is all trash. They literally throw away years of character build up by having everyone who matters die and randomly make bran king. With arya and the nightking the story actually climaxes and resolves but with jon, daenerys, cersei and jamie, all the buildup just gets flushed down the toilet drain.

    • Yeah, the toils she endured in Braavos {becoming a ‘Faceless Man’} aligned with the urgency of taking her vengeance against the people on her list seemed to erase much of her humor, appropriately. We did get to see another glimpse of ‘Sweet Arya’ when she finally sees her closest brother again, Jon Snow(or Aegon VI) near the Winterfell weirwood.

    • She never lost her sense of humor....they're were several scenes she still showed her sense of humor even when she became an assassin ex: When she comes to Gendry and ask for her weapon. When she meets the Lannister soldiers on the road and tells them ..she's going to kill the queen After she avenges Robs death on house Frey..When asked where are my sons by Walder Frey she says they're right here (referring to the partridge)also after poisioning house Frey she walks off and sheepish grin When she and the Hound head towards KIngs Landing she jokes about leaving him to die,..her playful yet masterful sparring session with Brienne when asked where did she learn that..she smiles and says "from no one" She never lost her humor The only thing she lost was her former innocence as a child which both she and Sansa had lost because of the hardships and tragedies they had endured

They faced a lot of trials and tribulations, though that could be said of alot of other characters. • She had a parallel evolution with Daenerys: starts like an innocent and weak one; the she loses family, identity and home, and becomes a warrior in the name of revenge. They both grew up through their arc. But then the world changed, they somehow won and their revenge had no longer meaning. In that moment, Arya decided to give up revenge, to change her destiny, and so she saved herself and started a new life. Daenerys, on the top of her dragon, when the tolling bell claimed her victory and the surrender of Cercei, she decided to get her revenge anyway. And this choice lead her to death. This part has been so perfectly written...

  • Arya Stark was such a great character- played very well by Maisie Williams. I can see why the creators of 'The Last of Us' were interested in casting Maisie as Ellie a few years ago. But of course, she is much too old for the role now, so they decided on Bella Ramsey, another GOT alum. It worked out for the best.

  • Arya made the show I thought. From her being the little tomboy of Winterfell , to one of the faceless man assains. An incredible journey. I really would have liked to see how she planned to get to Cersei instead of Daenerys torching the entire town. Having her fight the Mountain would have been cool. We already saw what a smaller and faster man could do with Prince Doran. If he hadn't stopped to get a confession he would have won. I really think Arya could've taken him and Cersei out. IMO. Plus at the end when Jon tells her to come see him at the wall, and she says she can't. He thinks it's because of the night watch rules and tells her " do you think anyone there would tell her she can't come in" I would pay to see that too. Lol.

  • Having just watch all 8 series of GOT again, I have now changed my mind who was the 'pinnacle' character throughout them all. Initially Tyrion mainly because of Peter Dinklages incredible acting and having the best lines, but now I see it is Arya. In a way as with LOTR that was read to me as a child, I read many times, listened to the BBC series with my son and watched the films I realized it is not about Frodo but Sam especially his speech at the end on the slopes of Mount Doom, when he tells Frodo that in the world there will always be a place of hope and we should never forget that. Similarly, Clegane finally shows his affection for her (a very hard thing for her to have achieved)and tells her, does she want to become like him as he has lived his life wanting revenge she realizes what she has become, the very thing she hated (ie all the people of her list) and turns away. She also serves the same purpose as Gollum does falling and taking the ring to the lava and thus destroying Sauron because she (I accept was somewhat stupid in her shouting and getting past all the Lord Wights ie D&D's terrible writing) is the one who finally destroys the Night King.

    • Good observation but I don't think there was really one pivotal character Tyrion , Arya, Jamie, Cersei, Daenerys were all pivotal characters with amazing character arcs (sorry Jon was just too one dimensional) I also believe that The Hound had shown affection for Arya long before they're final scene together. Clegane first began to show affection for her when she nursed the injury to his neck. Also the scene before the battle with the white walkers..when she ask him ..What are your doing here ..when did you ever fight for anyone but yourelf...and he replies "I fought for you didn't I"..referring to to his fight with Brienne to protect her because he didn't know if Brienne was legit or not...and the fight over the chickens when the kings soldiers want to trade a chicken for Arya. Clegane began to feel affection for Arya as a father figure long before the ending even though he had not expressed it ..it was obvious in his actions

    • Bittersweet, as Arya pleads with Nymeria(as if to recapture some of the youth taken from her), then realizes Nymeria’s no different than she: “That’s not you”. I would have loved a latter scene, probably as Arya’s heading back to Kings Landing, placing Arya and Sandor in peril, then saved by Nymeria and her Wolfpack. Arya realizes Nymeria’s subtly trailing her, watching over her as long as she’s in Westeros.
