Yes, excellent remark. Andreescu has no fear in taking chances and continues working on perfecting the shots in her arsenal. She's only 19 now, and it's going to pay off in the longer run. She already has the most touch and finesse in her drop shot among all the top players I have been watching. She's already developed such a variety of shots that with her the unexpected or the unpredictable can easily happen. Which is what makes her matches so interesting to watch. Many top players play exceedingly well but using only a narrower range of shot-making brought to perfection: Halep, Sharapova, even Serena Williams. Andreescu is still willing to lose a few points here and there for the sake of slowly honing a wider range of shots. She is still an apprentice, but of the highest quality.

I like Bianca’s tenacity! Her grit and grind, her will to fight! She reminds me of Serena, Azarenka, Halep. If she doesn’t win another slam, I will be greatly surprised! The person I’m worried about that may not win another slam is Halep. There is a huge obstacle for everyone including Serena and her name is Osaka! Osaka has everybody’s number on hard court right now. Once those injuries kick in, she will began losing hard court slams again!

Svitolina is my favorite player on the WTA Tour but you have to take your hat off to Bianca Andreescu she is relentless! Each time she has played one of these top ten players I have expected her to lose or get beat and just hasn`t happened!

The cut-off at the end is too brutal. Andreescu is not given decent time to speak out. This is a tremendous editing mistake. It's hard to understand why WTA clips off all the ending of the spectacle in this video when the match exists in real life only as a full-scale public festival, one that celebrates another form of athletic achievement. Yes, it's absolutely vital to include the resolution of the suspense and tension generated through the match, not just with the exuberant explosion of joy and amusing antics from the winner, but also the sustained and delirious applause of the crowds, the emotional embraces with coach and supporters and the final solemnity of whatever speeches are delivered by all - players, organizers and celebrities. Those WTA video editors seem to ignore the theatrical impact to us viewers, once final scoring is done, of letting us share in this very last phase of this total show - the emotional explosion that follows the little (sometimes big) drama that a good tennis match always is. They should read the accounts of the ancient Greek competitions in athletics or tragedies. Tennis matches are modern equivalents of those ancient Greek festivals. It's not only the performance itself and its scoring result, but the following intense reaction to it that counts. WTA video editors see their tennis matches as a clinical series of shots and points to count games and sets, as they do in their "highlights", whose main interest is in a summary of a match's flashes of technical brilliance and bewildering errors. However we viewers see a tennis match and feel it, live with it, in a different fashion - as the gradually unfolding suspense in real time of a full human mini-drama that cannot be just captured in selected moments. We are all frustrated by this lack of theatrical sensitivity in those heavy-handed WTA editors who show no qualms about truncating so brutally and without any second thoughts the final act of their plays. There's always a winner and a loser, with powerful pent-up emotions ready to explode afterwards. The full story must include the global reaction after the final count. Shame on those editors. Who is going to educate them to get the message?

During each break, Andreescu takes a quick sniff of some scent or smell from a small white jar of paste or cream. Anybody would know what this is? She can't be asthmatic, although she seems troubled by other chronic ailments. In the third set she showed moments of visible pain in her left leg, traces of limping, and massaging of the left calf between games. So what is it she is sniffing?

I just guessing as I noticed some coughing and nose wiping. Maybe she had a tail of a cold and she sniffs a menthol paste to keep her airways clear. It's just pure guessing as i don't really know, and I've only seen her doing that during this tournament.

I was wondering the same thing so I went back to the start and waited to see if they introduced themselves - The woman is Naomi Cavaday. A former pro who didn’t really do much on the WTA Tour but had some wins on the ITF Tour. Not exactly sure who the guy is. He introduces both Cavaday and himself about 5 or 6 minutes or so into the video and I think he said his name was Pete Hodges but I can’t be 100% sure.

Что меня бесит в игре Свитолиной, так это игра в центр корта .Возняцки хоть и тащила но не играет в центр корта. Все надежды на Костюк .

@@user-qv8of5ng1r я тоже не понимаю почему она играет в центр а самой приходиться бегать по углам. При этом пашет , вытаскивает, ждёт ошибки соперницы. Вот и получается что смотрится её игра тяжело. Я не теннисист, может так надо , но надо же и рисковать чаще. Значит она не способна на большее. Жаль. Ястремская молодая ,не всё умеет ,но её настрой!!!!!! Если прибавил в технике - будет лучшей! Жаль что вылетела с Ролан горос . и вообще хотелось чтоб они встретились между собой. Костюк давно не видел.

Ну она же все таки не случайно выиграла итоговый турнир и была 3 ракеткой мира? И ничего что она в 18 году выиграла титулов больше чем какой либо игрок wta? Я занимаюсь проффесионально теннисом два с половиной года. Да ,я могу чего то не знать , но все же . У всех бывают взлеты и падения и Свитолина здесь не исключение

Bianca has been out of action for so long now with her injury prone career that soon her highlights will be shown in low resolution black and white. Since she turned pro, she has spent more time in rehab than she has being healthy enough to play. It's time to start designating Bianca for what she really is...a "former" tennis player, now retired. Sadly, with Bianca's latest withdrawal from the Dubai open, her fourth withdrawal so far in 2020, it's obvious that Bianca's body can't handle the rigors of tennis. In the past 11 months she's been injured and unfit to play for at least 7 of those months. I think she should consider retiring from tennis and taking up pickle ball or something.

Please, allow Andreescu to make her $ 30 millions, and she'll be ready to retire, as Caroline Wozniacki just did. Some decisions need a little time to execute. Then she can write to you for suggestions.

No top tennis player can perform without injuries and various disabling ailments. The human body was never designed to play vigorous tennis many hours every day of its life starting in young age. Not only extreme mobility and unrelenting twisting of joints are the norm, but now the most violent hitting power is required. The human shoulder is an extremely fragile and complex articulation. Never designed to hit relentlessly powerful serves (130 mph! Even an orangutan can't do it) and violent groundstrokes. It is a sheer miracle that tennis players can use their shoulders and knees so brutally so long. Most can't. They don't all die, but all are stricken, inexorably, from time to time. The very best: Sharapova, Seles, Venus and Serena Williams, Wozniacki, Henin, Halep, etc, etc. Andreescu is no exception. Variations in frequency and intensity are results of genetic luck, statistical randomness and quality of support team. No wonder that the use of drugs is so pernicious and prevalent.

Очень хотел победы свитолиной ,чтоб сказать как убого смотрится её игра на фоне Ястремской!!!! Спасибо свитолиной за то что в десятке , но игра ............сами видите.
У Ястремской ненамного лучше игра ,также само ужасно играет у сетки и не умение укорачивать .
@@user-qv8of5ng1r согласен не идеальна. Но приятней смотреть. Может стиль свитолиной приносит результат, но мне больше нравиться красота. .....да и похоже свитолина уже ЗВЕЗДА, зачем ей напрягаться ( вот что было в этой игре? )..... Не осуждаю! Как зритель возмущён)!
Что меня бесит в игре Свитолиной, так это игра в центр корта .Возняцки хоть и тащила но не играет в центр корта. Все надежды на Костюк .
@@user-qv8of5ng1r я тоже не понимаю почему она играет в центр а самой приходиться бегать по углам. При этом пашет , вытаскивает, ждёт ошибки соперницы. Вот и получается что смотрится её игра тяжело. Я не теннисист, может так надо , но надо же и рисковать чаще. Значит она не способна на большее. Жаль. Ястремская молодая ,не всё умеет ,но её настрой!!!!!! Если прибавил в технике - будет лучшей! Жаль что вылетела с Ролан горос . и вообще хотелось чтоб они встретились между собой. Костюк давно не видел.
Ну она же все таки не случайно выиграла итоговый турнир и была 3 ракеткой мира? И ничего что она в 18 году выиграла титулов больше чем какой либо игрок wta? Я занимаюсь проффесионально теннисом два с половиной года. Да ,я могу чего то не знать , но все же . У всех бывают взлеты и падения и Свитолина здесь не исключение

Bianca has been out of action for so long now with her injury prone career that soon her highlights will be shown in low resolution black and white. Since she turned pro, she has spent more time in rehab than she has being healthy enough to play. It's time to start designating Bianca for what she really is...a "former" tennis player, now retired. LoL

Sadly, with Bianca's latest withdrawal from the Dubai open, her fourth withdrawal so far in 2020, it's obvious that Bianca's body can't handle the rigors of tennis. In the past 11 months she's been injured and unfit to play for at least 7 of those months. I think she should consider retiring from tennis and taking up pickle ball or something.
Please, allow Andreescu to make her $ 30 millions, and she'll be ready to retire, as Caroline Wozniacki just did. Some decisions need a little time to execute. Then she can write to you for suggestions.

No top tennis player can perform without injuries and various disabling ailments. The human body was never designed to play vigorous tennis many hours every day of its life starting in young age. Not only extreme mobility and unrelenting twisting of joints are the norm, but now the most violent hitting power is required. The human shoulder is an extremely fragile and complex articulation. Never designed to hit relentlessly powerful serves (130 mph! Even an orangutan can't do it) and violent groundstrokes. It is a sheer miracle that tennis players can use their shoulders and knees so brutally so long. Most can't. They don't all die, but all are stricken, inexorably, from time to time. The very best: Sharapova, Seles, Venus and Serena Williams, Wozniacki, Henin, Halep, etc, etc. Andreescu is no exception. Variations in frequency and intensity are results of genetic luck, statistical randomness and quality of support team. No wonder that the use of drugs is so pernicious and prevalent.
Last yr bianca is the fourth high earner almost 9million maybe she will more years she can reach 30 million if she keeps on winning esp grand slams plus the money from sponsors
@@susancortel9592 .... Bianca didn't win any money playing tennis in 2020. She shouldn't even be considered an "active" tennis player anymore. She's more like a "former" tennis player who is going to need wild cards to play in any slams...
