Could you,please put in more written of what you are doing? With it being grey on grey, I found it difficult to follow even what some may consider obvious. It would be really helpful for a beginner like me. Thank you for sharing your amazing and creative ideas.

If you watch a lot more of these clothes altering videos you begin to understand what they are doing even if you have very little experience with actual sewing.
They were talking about the trim...which you could change if you had an extra t-shirt in a different color.
Nothing is obvious when we don't have the knowledge or the experience, I agree with you, this should definitely have subtitles to guide us step by step. Blessings!
The trim is that same color and it's hard to see exactly what is being done. Expert sewers know but new ones might not.

And doesn’t iron anything….amazing. My mother used to make all my clothes, no pattern….I used to pick out a dress in the catalog and we would go out and get material and she would make me the very same dress. Both my daughter and I sew…..but not without a pattern……

You are so clever and I really want to attempt this. Since large T-shirts and body sizes differ, do you have any tips on how you measured your body and then how you applied those measurements to the T-shirt so your design would fit. Thanks so much!
I’m currently in the process of making this. Honestly for the length measure from where the neck line of the starting shirt sits on your body(probably your collar bone/ base of your neck) down to your waist (if you’re a girl I recommend going over your breasts as well when doing this to include them in the measurement) . Personally I just went with the 45cm she did and it works good for the length. Otherwise the only real measurement that counts is the waist measurement at the bottom. (I also am starting with a larger running medium that fits me slightly baggy before hand)

I think sewing t-shirts are a bit tricky because of the stretchy fabric. Are you using a kind of needle and/or thread?

You would have to do a lot more altering with the shoulders and the body width if you are an XS and you start out with an XL. Just changing the waist to your waist size wouldn't work. As the upper part won't fit you. But an XL sure gives you a lot of extra material to work with. A small probably would not give you that extra material? But great tutorial! 😁
She indicates in the beginning that a men's XL is going to give you a women's L. So I am assuming you could start with an S or an M for an XS at the end.

I find your creations quite ingenious, however, in today's fast-paced society, with all the ready-made cheap clothes at the ready just down at the mall stores, who has the time or patience to be doing these projects anymore?? But do enjoy watching you create your masterpieces..🙂
The point is reuse and recycle and to not contribute to fast fashion that is filling up our landfills.
its for people who prefer to be more sustainabvle instead of supporting fast fashion even if it is more time consuming. Also its easier to get a better fit and exactly what you want. A lot of times in stores you might find things which are "sort of" what you want but not exactly, DIYs mean you can make stuff that is exactly what you want

There ought to be an alteration store for clothes where you a give an old piece of cloth and get a new piece of cloth, .that way we can dress the way we want even if we didn't find anything of our liking or as required in stores.
