Agreed, (when i was working lol) taking lunch away from my desk was always a nice way to break up my day, take a break, etc.

When I have my afternoon slump, I grab a banana (or some fruit) and I hang out with my bunny so we can have a snack together. It's really energizing~

Love your desk set up! I try to tackle my midday slump by taking my dog for a walk. And on sunny days, sometimes I’ll just lay in the sun for 5 minutes

I loved your definition of work to live! I feel like it can be easy to get lost in the idea of I have to work to pay the bills and whole yes that’s a part of it there’s also the other side which is the fun things we enjoy! Granted those joys don’t always have to require money but so many of them do and seeing work as a blessing (to me anyway) helps make it less ho hum.

How do you manage the “status” on your Teams messenger. Staying on “available” leaves room for coworkers to pester haha do you set “busy” or “away” when you are focused on a project? Also, how do you set your status when you have to run a quick errand?
I set it on away when I leave and I’m available otherwise or do not disturb if I really need heads down time

Need advice - I wake up super early, and I am someone who signs onto work right when I wake up so that I can end my day early. I hate the idea of working until 5 because then I feel like I don’t have enough time after work for myself (I usually end work between 3-4). Do you feel like you have time after work? Is it worth me trying to start work later so that I have the mornings for myself?
I definitely feel like I have time after work but the evening goes by so quickly :) it’s honestly a matter of when you like to have that personal time more, for me I like to guarantee mornings but you may guarantee nights
I know you all live in Arlington, yet I saw you running near the Monument. How many miles is the Monument from your apartment?
It was a total of 6 miles that morning! Training for the half marathon!
