Da Fat Cat Clique - Da Cat's Out The Bag (1996 / Hip Hop / Full Album)
Da Fatcat Clique
Philly underground hip-hop group, composed of two sets of brothers and two lifelong friends, formed in 1993. They dropped their first single in 1994, selling mainly at venues they booked themselves to showcase the group. From there they began an all out quest to make themselves a household name. In mid 1996 they decided to independently release an EP entitled "Da Cat's out The Bag". The single "Da Flow" peaked at no#1 regularly from May to August on WUSL's power nine at nine countdown. To keep their name fresh, they released two subsequent singles, "My Tracks" in late '96, and "Can U Feel Me?" in early '97. With selling over 10,000 units, they produced two music videos which further increased their credibility among fans and industry alike.

Their 'My Tracks' used the same sample (O'Jays - Cry Together) as Grouch & Zion I - Trains and Planes. Dope beat in both songs.
I instantly heard that sample. DJ Zirk sampled it on Supa Straight by Buckshot. Memphis shyt. Go give it a listen.
619 OG yeah i know also 9th Wonder made a beat sampling that song 🔥
Hi! Are you the guy from "rare and unfamiliar music hunt"? Could you please pass me the link to "Girls in Soviet electronic music"? or the playlist at leas to find the songs. Your KZhead channel was the best in the world! Tks!

Too bad very little rap compares nowadays! Check out the albums psychoegyptian dropped in the last couple months for something good.
