  • Parents who are overly controlling will just cause their kids to rebel when they get the chance. Keep your kids safe and relatively focused, but still let them have fun, make small mistakes, and be kids. No one wants to be controlled completely. It'll make them feel like their life isn't really theirs. It will lead to isolation, burnout, and resentment toward their parents. Help your kids along the way, push them in the right direction, but don't control everything about them

    • @@cheesenncrackers i completely get you, and I would have disliked this video if I hadn't stuck around for the complete end. But some of his videos are educational, others not so much. Sadly nowadays even though he makes one that holds a lesson in it, somehow there's always something missing. Like that one of a guy getting so bullied that the bully makes him end up in a wheelchair. The video ends with the guy finally letting go of resentment and making the best of his new life in his disability, but those bullies get no consequences at all, because the teacher would always side with them and the guy would never really tell on their actions. I hated that.

  • This video has less to do with 'the grass not being greener on the other side' and more on how broken and horrible these parents are. One is to childish and refuses to let her daughter grow up and one doesn't even care which would result in neglecting the child that's if anyone didn't know a crime. This 'message' is something else. Rita's mom must have had a very sheltered childhood and Camila's must've not had a good role model to look up to hence why she could care less. Oh,and don't even get me started on the fact that they decided to 'teach' their daughters a 'lesson' on their SWEET 16! You know, that birthday that is one in a lifetime and if you ruin it, it's ruined for good and you will never be able to go back in time to reverse in hopes of a more memorable experience.

  • Controlling parents are annoying. Let children make their own decisions. Just cause your parents yelled at you, whooped/spanked you, which is still abuse; and didn't allow you to make decisions or have a voice and emotionally neglected you, does NOT mean you gotta carry on the generational trauma and treat your children the same way. 🤦🏽‍♀️ All these things happened to me during my childhood and im still traumatized from my childhood and I'm trying to heal. I'm not rushing the healing process.

I mean, one treated her's like it was a classical preschool party, while the other got in trouble with the law. Imagine an alternate ending where both moms tried to make up for their daughters by throwing them both a make up party. But this time it would be different.

  • 15:30 Extended ending concept: Just when things are going good, both daughters are still sad that their parties were ruined. When both mothers learned it, both have no idea on how to fix it, until they both have an idea popped into their mind... A DO OVER PARTY! Martha, rosa, rita and camila got to work on the do over party. This tine around, 4 of the women got their minds together to come up with the best do over party. Rita did the food reservations and cake ordering, martha did the decorations, rosa sent out the invites, and camila did the birthday outfit search for both her and rita. Although they were different people, they did their best to make sure that every detail for the party is perfect in every way. Finally, after days of planning and setting up, it was the day of the party. Thanks to the efforts of both moms and daughters, they were able to pull off the party with no stress. And the best part, its even better than their previous parties combined. The food was delicious, the guests are having loads of fun, and both girls were satisfied on how things eventually turned out. It was a hit, and a party that they will never forget!

  • Welp the ending was just bad. Not only both girls got their sweet 16, a very important time in one's life, ruined. But also both mothers "came to a conclusion" without actually being confronted by an outside point of view. All the daughters got out of this is "be happy with what you have", but the first girl was abandoned to herself for the first time in her life with nobody to guide her, which probably made her scared and confused about independence. Which will probably lead her to cling onto her already controlling mother. And the other girl Camila ended up being so controlled and restricted that she missed being neglected, bringing for her to probably not even let her mom acknowledge how harmful her parenting is being. Nobody actually learned from this, especially the kids, and both girls got the one of most important parties of their life, ruined.
