5 Months between seasons 1 New vehicle 3 New guns 1 New gadget 2 "New" maps one of which was already in the game 57 New SKINS THIS is the problem. Adding more skins than actual playable content is so frustrating, especially after such a long time in between seasons. This game is a hollow shell of what was especially the destruction. If you haven't already, go play the older BF's like bf4, bf1, or bf5 . THOSE are REAL battlefield games. This is beyond a joke at this point

@@toucansam8164 Leaning and vaulting needs to be in the future game. Coming from BFV to this made me wonder who decided to remove the best movement in battlefields history? The rolling, vaulting, crouch running, short sliding, grabbing a ledge when jumping down, pulling yourself up if the ledge is just high enough to grab... The director said (not exact words but in the same direction) that he wanted to make this game feel less about "parkouring" and more about running and gunning.

Well that probably means that the people have started to play the game more and are kinda thinking about pushing more seasons out? Kinda like it happened when they released hardline and everyone kept playing bf4, which led to us getting CTE and all the extra content in that game. Now i'm not saying we'll get that here, but i don't see the few people that are wroking on this game stopping anytime soon..

@IngridMolinaa if you go back to even BFV there's a stark difference in how the game looks and feels. It's already become completely washed of Battlefield. It feels like a large-scale CoD. Even the gunplay and movement feels CoD-like, but worse than CoD itself.

Kind of disappointing one of the two "new" maps is just the stadium that we lost from hourglass. Hopefully they spruced it up like they did with a lot of the other maps though. Also I'm guessing it will be 64 players.

I'm kind disappointed on both to be honest. One really isn't a new map. The Chile looks very similar to Arica Harbor already in the game. They used the same props and almost the same layout. I was expecting something a little bit more fresh

The visual recoil change seems great, BF always had issues with your bullets being fired in a "cone" instead of exactly where the sights are at the exact time the bullet was fired. Always felt like I missed shots because of it.

Jack, the LMG looks to be either the FightLite system you mentioned or the Ares 16. The Ares 16 is what the AWS in BF4 was based on even though they didn’t implement it correctly. Both systems allow you to replace the upper receiver on your AR-15 with a belt fed upper. You can then either use your standard mags or use the mag well to fit your belt box and feed the belt through the receiver.

@@chaimkobylinski1988 The first trailer for 2042 Had signs and debris flying everywhere and rubble also, like if a Building was torn too shreds, also a month before that trailer DICE released a Video Demo of full destruction, meaning a large building with over ten stories being destroyed and creating cover underneath from the rubble. Aka false advertising and marketing strategies. They even said Destruction was in the game NEVER saying they toned down destruction. Also used language like "A Love Letter to Battlefield Veterans" Which implies large amounts of destruction THE THING the Entire BF franchise is known for.

I've been dying for an urban map in 2042 and the AK5C was one of my favorite guns in BF4 so I'm super happy with this update. Can't wait to try the stealth bomb too if that's next season. Personally, I think it would have been cool if 2042 had urban maps that were the size of 144 player maps. Like imagine if Seine Crossing and Metro were in a single map, with big levelution and helis that wouldn't dominate the entire map, just a section of it at a time.

"Labor of love" you say? Where the hell have these destructible maps been during this entire game, on top of the plethora of classic battlefield features that should have been present from the start. Still can't believe anyone defends this company anymore. Not only that but the live service they keep pushing is just a big scammy cash grab. Only 30 standard rewards and about 70 premium awards? My ass. Everyone already spent 70 bucks on the game and thats not good enough apparently. Remember when things like these used to be free with a little in game grind? Stop supporting EA and other AAA companies like it. They're contributing to dirty business which effects a lot more than just the gaming industry. There are many other indie devs out there with innovations beyond belief, those are movements worth supporting instead, since they actually care about the player base and the things that they make.

5 Months between seasons 1 New vehicle 3 New guns 1 New gadget 2 "New" maps one of which was already in the game 57 New SKINS THIS is the problem. Adding more skins than actual playable content is so frustrating, especially after such a long time in between seasons. This game is a hollow shell of what was especially the destruction. If you haven't already, go play the older BF's like bf4, bf1, or bf5 . THOSE are REAL battlefield games. This is beyond a joke at this point

@@toucansam8164 Leaning and vaulting needs to be in the future game. Coming from BFV to this made me wonder who decided to remove the best movement in battlefields history? The rolling, vaulting, crouch running, short sliding, grabbing a ledge when jumping down, pulling yourself up if the ledge is just high enough to grab... The director said (not exact words but in the same direction) that he wanted to make this game feel less about "parkouring" and more about running and gunning.
Well that probably means that the people have started to play the game more and are kinda thinking about pushing more seasons out? Kinda like it happened when they released hardline and everyone kept playing bf4, which led to us getting CTE and all the extra content in that game. Now i'm not saying we'll get that here, but i don't see the few people that are wroking on this game stopping anytime soon..

I wouldn't be concerned about the quantity of new maps; instead, I'd be more worried about the franchise morphing into a dysfunctional imitation of Call of Duty. I mean, if I wanted to play CoD, I'd just click on the CoD shortcut, not the Battlefield one. 🙄
@IngridMolinaa if you go back to even BFV there's a stark difference in how the game looks and feels. It's already become completely washed of Battlefield. It feels like a large-scale CoD. Even the gunplay and movement feels CoD-like, but worse than CoD itself.

The fact that not every single explosive isn't oneshot to heli dogs is enough. Tanks are fine helicopters have never EVER been balanced.

Kind of disappointing one of the two "new" maps is just the stadium that we lost from hourglass. Hopefully they spruced it up like they did with a lot of the other maps though. Also I'm guessing it will be 64 players.
The other map is using only assets from Arica Harbor.
I'm kind disappointed on both to be honest. One really isn't a new map. The Chile looks very similar to Arica Harbor already in the game. They used the same props and almost the same layout. I was expecting something a little bit more fresh

The visual recoil change seems great, BF always had issues with your bullets being fired in a "cone" instead of exactly where the sights are at the exact time the bullet was fired. Always felt like I missed shots because of it.

Jack, the LMG looks to be either the FightLite system you mentioned or the Ares 16. The Ares 16 is what the AWS in BF4 was based on even though they didn’t implement it correctly. Both systems allow you to replace the upper receiver on your AR-15 with a belt fed upper. You can then either use your standard mags or use the mag well to fit your belt box and feed the belt through the receiver.

@@chaimkobylinski1988 The first trailer for 2042 Had signs and debris flying everywhere and rubble also, like if a Building was torn too shreds, also a month before that trailer DICE released a Video Demo of full destruction, meaning a large building with over ten stories being destroyed and creating cover underneath from the rubble. Aka false advertising and marketing strategies. They even said Destruction was in the game NEVER saying they toned down destruction. Also used language like "A Love Letter to Battlefield Veterans" Which implies large amounts of destruction THE THING the Entire BF franchise is known for.
I'm curious to see...like, I'm not really expecting there to be any destruction, but I would be pleasantly surprised if there was.

I recently downloaded BF 2042 and been having a blast, I haven't played BF since BF 4. Done with mw2.23 until next season at the soonest possibly until Gulf War. Fortnite is so much fun this season so much fun I can't even remember why I even stopped playing Fortnite like a year and a half ago.

I've been dying for an urban map in 2042 and the AK5C was one of my favorite guns in BF4 so I'm super happy with this update. Can't wait to try the stealth bomb too if that's next season. Personally, I think it would have been cool if 2042 had urban maps that were the size of 144 player maps. Like imagine if Seine Crossing and Metro were in a single map, with big levelution and helis that wouldn't dominate the entire map, just a section of it at a time.
"Labor of love" you say? Where the hell have these destructible maps been during this entire game, on top of the plethora of classic battlefield features that should have been present from the start. Still can't believe anyone defends this company anymore. Not only that but the live service they keep pushing is just a big scammy cash grab. Only 30 standard rewards and about 70 premium awards? My ass. Everyone already spent 70 bucks on the game and thats not good enough apparently. Remember when things like these used to be free with a little in game grind? Stop supporting EA and other AAA companies like it. They're contributing to dirty business which effects a lot more than just the gaming industry. There are many other indie devs out there with innovations beyond belief, those are movements worth supporting instead, since they actually care about the player base and the things that they make.

I got an Xbox one x in December and started playing again. It’s actually enjoyable now. Only thing I can’t do on a controller is snipe.

For me they are just keeping us busy until the next game better than nothing. Stadium back as small map just incase someone is missing it or never played that part. It would be nice to do a couple of portal maps for the next season
