Yeah it was a long running theory in my head. How deku's dad never even contacted them 💀 because he is ded. Deku decayed him. Inko wanted his quirk gone. Searched for afo like aoyama's mother then afo stole deku's quirk and gave it to tenko. If this didn't happen tenko would probably have a better life
But that would mean Deku would become like Shigaraki and Tenko becomes the hero instead of Deku.
So what if deku's mom found out that deku, as a baby, accidentally decayed his father, like how Eri rewind her parents as a toddler. And so deku's mom tried to find a way to have the quirk removed, using the doctor's help, and lied to deku the whole time about him not having a quirk, and his father moved away for work, so deku could just live a normal quirkless life, free of any guilt.
And that's why he never made it back from buying milk at the store lol 😂

i feel it was misdirection, just like when the traitor was revealed, and we were left on a cliffhanger, we all thought it was Invisible girl (i forgot her name) maybe what may happen is someone coming and bringing Deku a reversing bullet or somehow Deku bringing Shigaraki to Eri... but Horikoshi didn't show her for no reason
I agree. I feel like a lot of MHA theories end up wrong because of misdirection. Like the OFA user who everyone thought was for sure related to Bakugo or Bakugo from the future. Or even the Eri saving the story theory he just had that ended up being wrong. I'm starting to think Horikoshi purposely puts in these misdirection lol

It’s his mom quirky telekinesis and his father’s like fire breathing. Yea decay doesn’t sound like a mix of those quirks.
A child’s quirk isn’t always a direct mix of the two parents. Sometimes drastic mutations can happen that give rise to an entirely new quirk
And based on what Julius said a lot of mutations happening with the newer generations.
a power to manipulate objects and a power that could in theory breakdown object (melting/burning) might mutate into the kind of quirk that could fundmentally decay. its always interesting how decay seems to look like objects/people turning to ash.
I mean, fire can burn things to ash. Telekinesis is an invisible force. I could see how they mixed together to become decay.
It can hypotheticly Resultat in decay If we assume decay produces some Kind of Salt that pulls Any liquid out of anything and drying it out. That explains why people and Objekts turn gray on the point of contact. A firebreath quirk can easy drying out stuff(with enought skill) plus a quirk that attracts stuff and u end up wit a quirk that pulls liquids out of everything aka DECAY
Izuku being the person to orginally have Decay is one of the theories I really like, It would just make things go full circle and fits with how Horikoshi writes the series and there is a lot of foreshadowing for it already

@@vincenttyson7008 They actually weirdly do. Deku could have been a baby when his quirk factor was stolen. He was born right around the time AFO supposedly gave Tenko the quirk. The timeline would be tight but it is possible. Horikoshi can also be more flexible with Canon and people would care too much
I kind of hope Deku never really had a quirk. That would kind of hurt him being the perfect vessel for OFA. If he would have had a quirk previously I would assume (even though hes empty) that he still would have had a limit or something.

So to this day I still feel Over Haul has a better quirk than Shigaraki because Overhaul is towards the smallest Atom / cell vs Shigaraki's decay + with his power up it's kind of cheating I felt Over Haul was smarter and shigaraki was too childish. Eri is like the apocalypse cause whats stronger than time? Shirgaraki story line isn't worst than Dabi's. im curious what the ending it going towards. I feel it may go towards self sacrifice. Tenko comes in control and kills himself to redeem for his other personality sins. i Don't know if Deku had decay first, but thats a huge stretch. cant wait to hear next week episode. The only reason why I would question the Izuku/Decay quirk theory is bcuz the child's quirk is usually related to the combination of parents. Deku's mom had a float like quirk while his dad had a fire-breathing quirk. The math on that theory wouldn't make sense unless his dad was AFO.

Nope quirks aren't always inherenty passed from both parents. Take Fuyumi who only got her moms quirk, not endevors. And there's also what OFA and the doctor describe as ""mutations"(quirks that manifiest that are not similiar to either parent) Such as Eri

I hope deku doesnt have a quirk. This feels too much like what happened in naruto and fundamentally changed that series. Naruto was all about hardwork and denying destiny and genetics....then ended up being the child of destiny and being related to every gaed damn powerful thing not named uchiha lol.

Only we know allforones past. 2nd she always felt very bad, when dekus told about his dream to became a hero and want to awake his quirk as a child. Rest In Power Toriyama-Sama. Sailor Moon and DBZ were my starting lines. My childhood was a shit show and my my parents weerent the greatest but my dad did the best he could...the one thing me and him had were sports and anime. DBZ was thay glue for us. He probably would have prefered i not found SM first lol but he was happy either way...Goku was his favorite of all. From Dragon Ball and onward and i still remember after he passed away, holding my emotions in for a week. Unsure of how to feel until i was leaving my sister's house and they were playing DBZ on the bus back to NY. I broke the fuck down when they played the transition clip of Gohan crawling from under Goku's arms. Cuz when i was little. Thats who my dad was to me. Thank you for giving me that Toriyama-Sama. I was talking to someone and I think it’d be a bad thing for eri ti rewind these villains. It doesn’t necessarily matter if this would redeem the characters in a literal sense, it would still realistically be a non solution from the perspective of society or the civilians. Also it would take away deku saving him so that would kinda end up falling flat after so much narrative driving it Not to mention that besides the near adults literally being trained for professional hero work. Eri is not even 10 yet, if they aren’t saving her, it’s just a bad idea to have her on the battlefield. And her horn *was* explained already. It’s a quirk that needs time to charge up. It took her several years to get to a point where she would rewind her father to nothingness, and after several experiments from overhaul over the years she had a lot stored up. She used most of what she had to help Mirio already and couldn’t even help aizawa now
I could see Deku actually receiving his theoretical original quirk decay if eri could control her quirk and ONLY rewind his quirk factor. OR if shiguraki gives it to him to relieve some of the strain of gear shift if the OFA quirks refuse to be forcefully transferred back to deku.
It would kinda make sense if deku had decay because his dad has flame powers and fire can cause burning/ashes and the decay looks like ash and when decay is used it look liked they where turn to ash and start to decay you can see the skin starts to turn a ash like color befor it starts to decay

Hawks had to lose his quirk in order to establish the gearshift plan deku is using. Did it have to be hawks specifically no but someone did so we know that’s how it works and doesn’t look like it’s pulled from thin air even tho if feels like it was just pulled out of thin air.

It would make more sense from the Greek perspective, however, it feels like a trope. Zeus was a player, but generally loved for abolishing Cronos's reign. Hades, though feared, was typically kind and fair. The dynamic could work, but it's done more like a modern take of Clash of the Titans. It would remain more intriguing if they were in fact both born quirkless.

A quirk vestage of a baby would be close to non exsistant. What if the only memory if the decay vestige is Midoria's mother holding him. Only deku would know. He is the OG decay user.
One sma theory I have in mind is aizawa succeed in bringing his old friend back that can teleport people (shigaraki's tool of teleport in season 1 when he appeared against the students) and they use his quirk to teleport eri closer to the battlefield.
The Eri cliffhanger is so anticlimactic. It’s like the connection between Bakugo and Kudo.

I doubt this would happen, but, couldn’t Eri rewinds Shiggy to his pre operated on self. He may keep the quirks, but his body wouldn’t be able to handle them. I would imagine that he’d either try to pass on his quirks as soon as possible to save himself or die right then and there.

Izuku killed his dad accidentally with decay, his mom loved and sheltered him no matter what and asked all for one for help to remove it. She keeps it a secret to protect Izuku from the fact he killed his father at an age before he can remember.

The only way I could see Eri making it to the battlefield is if Kurogiri warping her there. We still don't know what happened to Aizawa after he fell off the thing orbiting UA and getting swallowed by a Kurogiri portal. My thought is Shirakumo's personality is taking back over and Aizawa and Present Mic are helping him with that.
If Izuku is the original holder of the decay quirk it would explain the absence of his dad 🤷🏿

The deku originally having decay theory would be an amazing plot twist if it's true. But the the thing that makes it unrealistic is that they said most current quirks usually are some form of the parents quirks. Izukus mom has some type of quirk that allows her to make small objects float towards her and izukus dad could breathe fire. It wouldn't make sense for him to have decay sadly.
This would be a perfect time for Kurogiri to stop being an angry shadow creature and teleport Eri where she needs to be.
Shirakumo comes back.... uses his quirk to get Eri to the battle, and joins the fight against Shigaraki.
I think maybe Eri might come back due to the warp quirk, I'm hoping we'll at some point cut back to whats going on with kurogiri and that the warp quirk may let Eri arrive at the battle
Kurigiri shows up as his old self thanks to finally coming to consciousness from aizawa and present mike and teleports her there.
I wonder if it's possible Oboro will show up and teleport Eri to the battlefield rewind has to take place.
There's a chance deku could have had decay. But what if... Decay had/has the quirk Flourish. Which brought great improvements, skills, and joy to the people around him. Quirks do manifest through the personality of those with it. I mean maybe. Or Shigi's decay quirk is just a direct juxtaposition of the idea of something flourishing through good enviroment and consistent improvement.
Deku can only have one of two quirks or a combination of both.....The fact that Izuku had green hair means he inherited his mom's DNA the most. Which means the fact that he could not attract objects to himself is prof that he never had a quirk in the first place. AFO did nothing to Izuku as a child, if he did he would have had info on him like Aoyama.
I don't think Izuku has a quick when he was little. But that's what makes him special and perfect for one for all. Just like Almight. And because of that they will not die early like the previous users.
Couldn't Eri just get Deku’s quirk once the fight ends? He will most likely only have the quirk that started it, which is perfect for Eri’s quirk of needing to stockpile energy. She could undo the damage on the characters, and who knows? Maybe she could do far more with her powers, she has full access/control over the history of biology, but not the future of it, maybe she could fix the quirk simulation by evolving humanity to be more like Shiguraki, but without the weird mutations.
If Deku gives Eri his quirk shes going to have a very short life because she already has a quirk. Remember how all of the vestiges would have died except for All Might and Deku because they were the only two without a quirk. Having two quirks is too much for the body and she could use both for a while but eventually she’d die.

It was already established that if you have a quirk, adding another one is fatal unless your body is modified for it like Shigarakis.

Hey I have a hit. When if when deku went to the hospital he had his quirk but the doctor took it from him and showed someone else toe. But the fact that deku mother had to touch things to make it float and his dad and breath fire right. What if deku quirk is decade. Like his farther quirk to burn things went from his mouth to his hands and his mother quirk to have to touch something to float it. But from making something float and burn instead made it turn into ash. But had to touch it.

I would love for this theory to come to fruition, but it's inconsistent. During Deku's fight with Overhaul, Eri was full sending her rewind into Deku when he was going 100%. She obviously would have no idea that Deku had the decay quirk, and thus he would've received the decay quirk back during his fight with overhaul, where Eri was quite literally full sending her rewind into Deku. I'm sure people who stand by this theory will say "she didnt want to rewind him out of existence, so she was holding back" or "he didn't get his quirk back because he wasn't rewound to a certain age at which it was taken from him". But the thing is, Eri's power was out of control, that's how much her quirk accumulated. Now that her horn is small, she won't be able to rewind him to that extent, and even then, with her training...it'd take deku dying for her to rewind him so much so, that he'd get his theorized "childhood quirk" back.
While AFO was fighting bakugou, hawk's quirk was uniting other people's vestiges against AFO, that's why he was so messedup at the end...
Maybe that's the reason we never saw Dekus dad? Deku as a baby accidentally killed his father with the decay quirk and the doctor offered to take it away as some experiment to his Mom.

Perhaps the point of the misdirection is to show that there isn't going to be some 'easy' solution to this. Getting a good ending is going to take hell to reach, and hell is what Deku chose.

I actually entertained the hope at one point that Eri would rewind the whole League of Villains to childhood, and she, Kota, and the Masageki kids would fight them.

I really hope that they don't go the route of decay being Deku's stolen quirk, that would just be so extra corny. I need decay to just be some rando's quirk given to him by AFO with no connection to Deku. Really happy there was no reveal of AFO being Deku's father, that would have been corny as well. What would be dope if Deku transfers all the extra quirks of OFA and they bust out Tenko and the Shigaraki decays the last remnant and declares himself not to be called Tomura Shigaraki any longer and wants to be called by his given name going forward. Then in his darkest moment he unlocks the full potential of OFA, which retained the quirk factors of all the previous users

3:16 I don't believe that's gonna happen. If she tried to, then he would most likely decay her. That would also make Deku lose his focus and give in to pure rage. And then, Shigaraki would get the upper hand, steal the rest of One For All, and decay Deku.
Honestly speaking, I doubt decay would come out of a combination of Izuku's parents to begin with, and even if that were the case I don't see the possibility of Izuku having the quirk due to the age difference between Tanko and Izuku, otherwise Tanko would gotten the decay quirk in his low teen years. Now if were to ask me what sort of powers Izuku would have, it'd be probably be something along the lines of Pyro from marvel.

So, Eri doesn't have the energy she needs. One-for-All is an energy-reserve quirk that constantly absorbs and stores energy but has no other ability. Deku is currently giving all of his quirks away to Shigaraki, but when the last one is gone, his final one, One-for-All, will be "empty" again and while it will be filled with energy, it can't *do* anything. So, if he were to, say, give OfA to Eri, she'd suddenly have ENORMOUS energy reserves that she could use with her quirk, allowing her to reset and heal bunches of people at the same time, and making her the new host for OfA. As for how she'd get there.... you have a super-speedster on staff, you have Gentle, but heck, know who hasn't had their moment in the sun, yet? Mineta. Let lil' ol' Grape Juice step up and use his high-speed rebound ability, with Eri on his back, to bound through the city and get there in time to make a difference. Sure, he's the worst guy in class, but everybody gets *something*, right? Heck, top it off with Eri's accepting OfA evolving her to an adult form so that Horikoshi can show off one new design by teh end and you can get Mineta to nosebleed his way out of the picture. "Wait, you mean I was holding THAt in... my ... " *swoon* (It's not the best bit, but it's on point for Mineta, so.)
*If her Quirk is already too much OP Alone, Now imagine how BROKEN her Quirk gonna be when Enchanced with OFA*
@@ulisesquesada4630 Very true! But it's the end of teh series, so you only have to have her around at that level for, what, a chapter? Then a chapter of epilogue maybe and you're done. So that level of broken doesn't really matter ... she gets OfA, upgrades to her final form, and emits a glowing bubble that resets all teh injured people at once .... Hawks gets his wings back, Ayzowa gets his eye and leg back, and so on. Happy ending, everybody goes home, story ends.
@@thomaswilloughby2951 *Honestly, in my opinion, I want there to be a twist and for My Hero Academia to have the most fatal ending of all, deaths everywhere and neither Shigaraki nor Deku to win, imagine if the government decides to drop an atomic bomb on the city, knowing how corrupt the government is in My Hero Academia, that for me would be the closing of the Manga, as if showing "the example of humanity's easy response to difficult problems"*
What if Deku gives Eri OFA and she uses all of the stockpiled power to rewind all of the destruction? Or rewinds Shigaraki back to Tenko
