Well, no offence to her, but her movies were all shitty lol..I'm not saying she is a bad actress, I think maybe she is actually quite good, but the movies she picks are just not interesting, in my opinion. And that is why I'm very hesitant to watch this show lol

@@miaqueen9578 it's her music that people try to bully her about, and all it's usually about is mean people who are bored looking for likes, and follows on social media, so that they can feel superior over her, they are jealous of her fame, and the love that people have for her. Her acting is something that most people would not dare mock because they know that she is great at it. Yet there are some people that post on the internet without thinking first, too lazy to think, and you never know who they will mock for what. As far as her acting roles, only some of them where boring and in some cases poorly written as well. Yet she has acted in some not boring movies and a very not boring tv series before this one as well, the series is what made her famous before anything else. Also keep in mind everyone has different tastes, there has never been anything written for a series or for a movie that everyone likes. Just like no singer could possibly please everyone. It can actually be very hard to predict what a person will like or dislike.
Actually I think that her self doubt started before that, she has always underestimated herself, her talents, and her future successes. She has made that very clear. Like she seemed to always think that she had no real acting talent, even though all the actresses/actors that she has stared with in movies and shows has told her otherwise, has called her a natural at acting, has said that she is a fast learner. She had one of the best acting couches in the world at one time, and I think that it shows.

The whole world supposedly thought that Britney Spears was talentless too, what a lie that was. A bunch of fools who love drama and who hate just about everything, including thinking things through are irrelevant anyway. Their bark is much worst than their bite.
Selena is a natural actress, just fit so well in a group of experts.

The fact that Steve and Martin are still making television/movies/standup makes my heart happy. I smile so wide each time I see them. I grew up with each of them, watching their comedy and movies with my father. Happy memories.

Whoever cast these 3 together deserves a raise. I’m all caught up on OMITB and on top of their really unique chemistry it’s a perfect way for a younger audience to get introduced to comedy giants like Steve and Martin and also a great way for an older crowd to get introduced to the bursting talent of Selena Gomez
Steve Martin have the idea of it and was talking with Martin Short, then later I think in one of the interview mentioned that they decide or it was John Hoffman idea about including Selena Gomez onto the show.
It really is a creative idea and it appeals to both the older generation and my generation. I knew who Steve Martin and Martin Short was and obviously Selena Gomez, I practically grew up watching her and listening to her music. It’s got references that all of us can enjoy which is why it’s so great!

The best part about this amazing show is it creates a bridge between two generations that normally are worlds apart, introduces younger Selena fans to the genius of Martin and Steve and shows boomers that Selena is more than just Justin Bieber's ex from the magazines they've seen at the grocery store checkout over the years
Yes I can relate this my first time to know Martin and Steve they are indeed comedy legends. And glad you found out more about Selena yes she is more than that person's ex she's a nice humble person who is also a singer and actress and a funny person ❤❤ personally as a fan of her I want to see her more in comedic roles.

I already knew more on Steve Martin as my parents sat me down to watch his films like Father of the Bride like selena said. Martin Shot I knew did some voice acting on some movies and TV shows I watched. Selena obviously I grew up watching shows like Wizards of Waverly Place and I did introduce my parents to her. Now the three of us are watching Only Murders in the Building. 😊

I think the age gap and the different genders bring more to the table. I mean, I would watch a show that is only with Steve and Marty, but I think with Selena instead of another old man the show has more to offer, it gives more possibilities.
This show is an absolute brilliant laugh riot! Sting, Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez are perfect.

I've been watching "Murders" & I like it a lot. Selena, is so pretty & holds her own with these two giants of comedy. Martin Short & Steve Martin.
She's not exactly a comedy novice, even if her TV show was badly written kiddie crap. Because of that, it all relied on her comedy chops to not suck, and actually didn't because she's genuinely funny.

@@Wiley_Coyote it was a show for kids and teens, yet I was an adult when I first watched it, and I still love the show, it may have not been written with adults in mind, there was plenty of mistakes they made in the show, like undo powder can undo the last spell cast no matter what spell it is, then it was like their characters forgot about that undo powder, and could not undo spells gone wrong, yet I think that is because the episodes were not all written by the same person/people, and that can get confusing who wrote what. It was still the best written show in the history of the Disney channel, it was hilarious, and like someone else said already the show has won emmys.

Selena made a great choice to act with these comedy legends because it gets her out of her comfort zone and will broaden her experience. Now she just needs to learn about The Jerk, Roxanne, My Blue Heaven, etc. and Jiminy Glick and Ed Grimley because there’s a treasure of funny stuff from those movies and characters.
Yes! One of my favorite movies is My Blue Heaven. I'm 29 (same as Selena) and my dad first showed me the movie in my early teens. I like to watch it every birthday now.

Was there anybody who didn't think Martin Short would stand back up after Steve and Selena sat down? Then you don't know Martin Short. He's the consummate entertainer. The guy is always on. He clearly loves making people laugh. I mean he's done this bit before but it still works because his enthusiasm is what gets people going, not so much the joke itself. It's Martin Short and Nathan Lane. They have no equals when it comes to being pure entertainers and you'll never convince me otherwise.
