It just starts being difficult though after these years and I think he's already told pretty much everything he can and will regarding the mob at least, but still always interesting to watch his interviews nonetheless.

I realize this interview is over, but I think a big mistake Michael Franzese makes is he gives opinions on mob stuff instead of the things unmade people would not be privileged to know. Also would like to hear more about other guys like Jimmy A or Joe Joe B Tom Debella. Keep the great interviews coming.

  • Awesome interview, James!!! Again, I love ya and am a big fan, so hope you take this as constructive criticism. Again, the constant interruptions with “mhm”, “right”, “I agree”, totally disrupts the flow. Even Michael got off track a few times. Just let them speak. Wait for a clear pause. I’m not in journalism but that’s what went to college for and remember that being one of the first rules. Let the subject speak as long as possible. You get more and even if it sucks, that’s what editing is for. But also for flow. Maybe I’m just fickle but it gives me anxiety. I usually turn an interview off but this is good stuff and I love supporting ya.

On his death bed he spoke about sonny, so when someone introduced me to sonny for the first time when he first came home from prison and we were in the water front crab house for a ring 8 meeting. I said my dads cousin always talks about you and how he misses you till on his death bed. He said whats his name kid i said his name and he said hows that blind bastard doing, lol cause he wore thick glasses i said he passed away. He said he was a good kid. Meanwhile, my dads cousin was in his lare 70's when he passed. Gotta love it

    • Sonny was the oldest living mobster of his era, for people that don't know. He was the real deal, did his time like a real man. So if he loved his son and had a relationship with his son, who is anyone to say anything different about a man who is LA Costra Nostra and very well respected for that matter. No one would ever v Confront sonny or challenge sonny. Now that he has passed people have things to say. But I've been in his presence and no one I mean no one ever thought different of him, he's a man's man a real mafioso in its true meaning

Martin Scorsese and Terence Winter are inspiring. Top two shows are Boardwalk Empire and the Sopranos. Top two movies are A Bronx tale and The departed. Writing has always been my best subject in school. I have been working since I was fifteen at the same restaurant. August will be twenty two years at the same job. I'll be thirty seven in July and I promise I am dedicated to putting a movie documentary or series together. I need your help 🙏. We all can bring something to the table. I watch a lot of the podcast with you Gene Sammy and others. Honestly I know that writing is something I'll be successful with. I'm ready to advance in my life. You only live once and you have to do what makes you happy. I'd really like to meet you guys and talk. We can make this happen. I just want a chance to get started but I need your help 🙏. You guys keep up the good work on the podcasts 👍 and Mike get back with me about this film project please. Thanks guys

  • 46:01 that pic isn't Sal Miciotta. It's Vinny Aulisi. I might seem critical but that was a pretty good interview. Been doing this research a quarter century now. Wished you'd asked about John Spontini and Americus Scotese but I doubt he wouldve answered . Overall I give the interview a B- . You're getting better at this James
