  • Why did your Goverenment allowed such huge private import of wheat into the country. You should have created a mechanism of import quota for wheat or any other mechanism that could allow that quantity of wheat import that was in demand for that particular period of time. Fault lies in the mismanagement of the caretaker government

  • I am very glad to listen that in Pakistan cost of one kg flour in Rs60. Please tell where is it available.Why they sold the flour in Rs. 6000 per 40 kg. They purchased in Rs. 2500. Why the care taker government gave the subsidy to importers. Topi drama. No one is discussing about the costs of diesel, electricity, fertilizers and pesticides.

  • If the wheat support price had been already fixed then why was the private sector allowed to import cheaper wheat? It’s common sense that flour mills will be buying wheat from private sector and not local farmers eventually hurting our farmers financially. It’s absurd to compare McDonald’s, Baskin Robins and other free foreign imports with support price regulated wheat commodity. Government knew about surplus wheat forecast for 2024 and should have restricted wheat imports by private sector. The farmers are not going to risk their future investment & hard labor for 2025 so possibly there will be a wheat shortfall in 2025.

If that price is 3900 as fixed by Punjab govt then it's sure shot corruption i.e. favouring your favourite importers and getting kick backs. 2. If govt has shortage of dollars, then why was this criminal permission was granted to import wheat that resulted in huge expenditure of dollars. 3.   • Such a vast department for food security with pay, pensions and previliges exists; then why Mr Kaakar and his cabnit made a policy change to put food security in the hands of private enterprises? Did the care taker prime minister and his cabinet dismiss the food department , because now they had no job to do and save the national ex-Chequers? I visited Chobara ( district Layyah ) food storage today and came back empty handed. Could meet only the police sentry and a person sprinkling water with a rubber pipe. Did the Food officer and Staff draw their salary for today, or would they??

  • Seriously ……: When you are charging 40rs per unit instead of 2 rs per unit worldwide… when you are allowing to sell urea for 5000 per bag , where its price in region is 800 rs per bag. When your companies are selling DAP for 15000 per bag as compare to 3000 in India … Whhen you have restriction on inputs, we buyer can’t buy inputs on international prices but yes we have to sell according to international price… Buying at 2500 and selling at 4200. Its 70% profit 2500*25= 62500 per ton 62500 * 3500,000= 218 Arab 75 crore And you sell at 4200*25=105000 105000*3500000= 367 Arab 50 crore 150 Arab ka profit hai… kitna tax pay howia aur Kis Kis na kamaya
