Justin Gaethje PARENTS Reaction to UFC 300 KO is DEVASTATING to Watch...

The video of Justin Gaethje's parents after he was knocked out by Max Holloway at UFC 300 is one of the hardest things to watch I've ever seen as a UFC fan. Also Kamaru Usman shares his (slightly bias) thoughts on the fight.

  • The Bryce Mitchell knockout was the gnarliest I’ve seen when Emmitt had him seizing on the canvas.

    • That knockout scared me… previous to that, it was the Ngannou/Overeem KO. I was watching that one live as well and I literally thought Alistair might be dead lol. I’ve been watching combat sports for a long time, though, and the Bryce Mitchell one when he started having seizures really scared the shit out of me. It’s hard with this knockout because I feel torn. It was such a bad ass fight and I love Max, but I also love Justin and that hurts seeing him face down on the canvas like that.

Max arguably won the 2nd fight, and volk had 2 spectacular performances that compromised max early stopping his momentum from building. @FWbaracuss@FWbaracuss29 күн бұрын
    • @FWbaracuss I like to think that Max will let Volk keep his 3-0 over him. At this point Max is king of the world and Volk doesn't even know when he's gonna be able to fight again and if he'll even be able to hang with the top 5 anymore, so maybe Max will let him keep that, and go after Ilia and then hopefully back to 155.

  • Let me tell you something…. I was in a millers ale house here in Lakeland Florida. At this time my wife and I would frequent this location to eat and watch the fights. The server knew this and was excited to inform us that “one of the fighters parents is here” now this was actually really exciting for a few minutes until we found out who the fighter was. It was the parents(or step parents not sure the exact relation) of Jessica Eye. Instantly it was like my heart sank. Jessica eye was set to later be fighting Valentina shevshenko (sorry for spelling ) we knew what was coming. Most of the restaurant got pretty quiet after we watched her get brutally knocked out via head kick. It didn’t get any better as Joe Rogan says things like “she’s still out” “look at her leg shaking” “let’s play that back and listen to the sound of that kick” It was such an uncomfortable experience and really eye opening to the hard part of the sport. The family side. It’s a crazy sport that we love. I’ll never forget that experience.

  • I did the almost fainting because of yelling a couple seasons ago , Christmas Day game at Lambeau field. I was row 1 seat 2 , corner end zone, the same side where Aaron Rodgers threw the franchise record breaker touchdown to Allen Lazard. It fess so close to our seats and to witness history. I definitely saw stars from no oxygen.

  • Anytime there is two fighters in the cage that you are a big fan of and one of them loses spectacularly there's always the duality of being happy for the one that won and having empathy for the one that lost. That's part of being a real fan of the sport.

  • Against Fiziev and Poirier Gaethje was choosing to absorb body kicks with his guard. He would bend at the waist and smother the kick using his forearms bringing his head with them. Max kick at the end of Rd 1 got through. Gotta love Gaethje. He's never lost a decision. KO to Alvarez, Poirier, Blessed, choked out by Khabib, Oliveira. He's so do or die it's awesome

  • Iconic? After five rounds? Seriously iconic is like when someone like Vitor Beltfort lost his first fight ~ like when Chuck got knocked out~ like when old got knocked out~ like when Ronda got Knocked out by Holly~ like when Chris knocked out spider then broke his leg~ T. rex arms was finish by Khabib in the early second round ~ he got knocked out on the last Round jaw wide open.

  • Great video, not even done watching it but from a technical perspective you can see something from this film. When slowed down to 25% speed you can see that Justin evades punches by ducking his head taking away from his ability to track his Max's movements. One the other hand, Max's head changes levels and moves sideways as he's shifting his weight without losing sight of Justin or facing down whilst evading punches, basicaslly max is a more technically sound fighter in the booth, and Justin could be even more amazing but for those old habbits, with much respect to Jusin Gaethje.

  • Life's beaty, often unnoticed; As a former US Marine, something I once heard that will forever stay with was about: The nature war, its very essence is the cruelest, most horrible, and inhuman environments; however, in the mist of all that ...$h!+ are countless examples of the most profound acts of humanity, the highest expressions of virtue and valor, immeasurable sacrifice and risk without hesitation. Meaning, I too hate to see such an admirable guy who fights with the heart Gaethje does get hurt, and it makes my heart go out to his parents seeing such a vulnerable moment. But also, I feel relieved for Justin because you can see how much they love him. They say Fighting is a metaphor for life, but maybe it is the truest exemplification.

  • I'm a huge fan of Justin & Max both. They're actually probably 2 of my top 5-20 Favorite Fighters. I love them both, Max is a beast but I really didn't expect him to win & if he did, i certainly didn't expect him to do it by KO. Although with Justin's broken nose so early i certainly knew the mouth breathing for most of the fight put him in danger for a KO. Wow what a fight it was. So I decided to put my 20 favorite fighters list here. Who else wants to list theirs under? Jon Jones Dustin Poirer Justin Gaethje Max Holloway Michael Chandler. Sean O'Malley Sean Strickland Brandon Moreno Colby Covington Marlon Vera Michael Venom Page Khamzat Chimaev Israel Adesanya Johnny Walker Anthony Smith Jiri Prochazka Alex Pereira Alex Volkanovski Jan Blachowicz Charles Oliveira

  • It's seems odd that the UFC and other Promotions haven't adopted Trevors Gloves yet. I know i saw an interview where Trevor said Dana said they would use them, but only if Trevor sold them outright to the company that currently makes the UFC gloves and that Trevor would have to relinquish any & all ownership or rights to their use. Not sure why that would have to be the deal, but my guess is Dana has a major chunk of ownership or major kickbacks by the exclusive deal currently in use. Plus Dana always talks about his die hard loyalty, which would make sense to want to keep the original company involved but i don't see why it would need to be exclusively theirs. But I think Trevor could do well with them elsewhere anyway. Because obviously there's so many other Promotions these days.

  • Too each their own, but Jesse that’s exactly why I don’t talk shit about any fighters at that level. What they risk for our entertainment cannot be weighed. We have no clue the balls and guts it takes to make that walk let alone put your life at risk in front of the world. Getting your assed handed to you on the street is hard to swallow let alone on that level. This isn’t some pussified ball sport. These are literally the gladiators of our era. I respect these men and woman beyond words. Been watching for 20 years. And train myself. Talking shit about them is weak!
