Today is 12th of April, 2022. 61 years ago on this day, a man by the name of Yuri Gagarin, with the help of USSR space program, has become the first man to leave the atmosphere of Earth and enter Cosmos. In the Vostok capsule he circled around the planet’s orbit and returned back, setting a monumental achievement in human history. This event became one of the checkpoints in the space race and, of course, has inspired many, myself included. What I want to say, is that we all should remember what people were able to achieve that day. I want all of the people reading this, to remember time to time what the exploration of cosmos has given us - a cause. A cause greater than any war, a cause that united us and will unite us. I want you to remember this achievement as not one of USSR, Russia, of any country really, but one of humanity as a whole. This day, this achievement should serve as a reminder of what has already been done, and what can be done. Не дайте разборкам и войнам разрушить, что построили наши предки. Слава тем, кто смотрел, смотрит, и будет смотреть ввысь!
Eternal glory to Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space!

Because in general, Russia (the USSR) did not conduct propaganda at the level of feature films like: "Russians will come and rape you, your wife, your dog and a tree near the house because they are COMMUNISTS!!! and Russians." as a result, the inhabitants of the USSR saw in the inhabitants of the West victims of capital, and in russians and social. As an American, I think we should give the Soviets more credit for what they did in Space. Besides, they did a lot more space exploration than we did, while WE were busy being the so-called “Peacemakers” (Yes I know we did space exploration but still), even though we and the Soviets nearly made the Human population go extinct by making the foolish decision to do a nuclear war against each other, which didn’t happen thankfully because we and they realized that the earth will cease to exist. Это был поразительный героизм, полететь за пределы Земли, в неизвестность. Я думаю, что это служит доказательством того, что человек при должном упорстве и знании может все. еще раз с праздником!

Sometimes its not about ideology, its about having hope on the people, imagine guys, one day, everyone united, working together, so we could be able to actually see the potential of humanity. Sometimes its like I miss the USSR even when I've never ever lived in there, not because of the government itself, but because the people actually had a pure idea to follow, just by working together, socialism might not be the best way to get into communism, but maybe one day, we can work together and be proud to call yourself part of Humanity
Hopefully But humans work on an us and them principal There has to be a them to overcome outcompete or one up to do something If we as a species make the universe the “them” we will achieve all that we can
@@captainahab5522 huh. That's an interesting idea. An enemy to defeat is certainly a powerful motivator but it would be hard to make the universe that "them" when it's not actively working against us. Unless there is a way to twist the narrative, I don't think it would work for an "us vs them" mentality.
Plus I feel it's worth adding that in capitalism it's the capitalists that want to crush the competition, not really the workers under them. Unless they're hardcore bootlickers, the workers just want to be able to support themselves.
Anarcho-syndicalism/leninist communism sounds like a good option, it supports a very stable society with liberal ideas, take a look if you can, sometimes, socialism is more like a genre of ideologies instead of a single ideology, just counting communism there are 26 different types.
@@caioac-nq2kc the problem with all political systems is corruption and stability A dictatorship is very stable but gains this through corruption and opposition As far as I can see communism as in soviet style communism is very unstable and has very little resistance to corruption Western capitalism works ok as it is reasonably resistant to corruption and is reasonably stable but isn’t a perfect system by any means In future we will have to deal with climate change and automation So if a society can be built on helping each other and be less focused on power and profits it would do well I think that the more power the people hold the better

The USSR had some glaring problems, sending thousands to Rot in “work camps” is a little more than a “far fetched problem”. Combine this with a lack of freedoms and intense militarism and you have some big problems

Right... Right...
1:45 such an important line, especially with how we are destroying our world.
The lyrics are beautiful, such a great song filled with hope for tomorrow.
In Vietnam during the spring of 1984, during a survey for planning production facilities, a delegation of officials from the "Liberation" Agricultural Farm in Song Be province (now part of Binh Duong), led by comrade Nhan, a military colonel who had transitioned careers and was a former official of the Binh Gia Regiment, went upstream on the Dong Nai River to a pristine hill forest and were deeply moved and shocked by a very sacred scene. On three parachute hammocks tied together to a tree trunk were the remains of three Liberation Army soldiers. Next to each set of remains was a rusty AK rifle and a pair of rubber sandals. The mysteries surrounding the sacrifices of the three Liberation Army soldiers were quickly "decoded" by a letter carefully wrapped in plastic and tightly tied to the head of the hammock. Although the writing was shaky and distorted (due to injuries, hunger, and thirst), the meaning and phrasing were very clear. The writers introduced themselves: "We are: 1. Le Hoang Vu, from Thai Binh; 2. Nguyen Chi, from Quang Ngai; 3. Tran Viet Dung, from Ho Chi Minh City, soldiers of Squad 1, 'Ky Con' Platoon, Binh Gia Regiment, Liberation Army of the South..." After enduring days of "twisting hunger... and thirst as if drying out the intestines and liver..." and carrying numerous injuries, the three remaining soldiers reached this forest. Exhausted, unable to continue, and without any means of communication, they decided to stop and "choose this beautiful forest as their final resting place..." Let us listen to their confessions: "Having made the decision, we felt unusually relieved. We became more lucid... We stopped here with a little remaining strength to write a combat report to leave for someone who finds it... Each of us, facing our own death, tried to use the last bit of strength, indeed very little, to take turns writing. We chose this long-lasting young tree as a pillar, helped each other hang hammocks for each person, agreed on the posture to lie on the hammock, and arranged a few remaining items... We will die peacefully and calmly as we have lived vigorously and calmly with the work we have done..." One by one, Le Hoang Vu and Nguyen Chi permanently departed. The one who left the last lines was Tran Viet Dung. Allow me to quote his heartfelt lines: "...But then you guys urged to finish the letter. Time is not waiting for us anymore. We have felt that it is almost time to leave this world. Before leaving, the letter must be carefully preserved to avoid harsh weather. The letter. The letter must reach the hands of those who are alive... If this letter reaches our comrades in the Binh Gia Liberation Army of the South or any other friendly unit passing by, please forward it to the higher-ups. Our Liberation Army squad in the 'Ky Con' Platoon has completed its mission. We hope to be recognized that we have lived, fought, and died in a spring between heaven and earth like hundreds of thousands of true Vietnamese deaths for the survival of the nation and the people. If we are discovered later than 5 years - 10 years - precious freedom, then please send us - to those who are alive, living the true meaning of it, in a glorious era, deep gratitude for you are making our deaths fully meaningful. You are working selflessly as we have fought selflessly for our beautiful country today, for our increasingly warm, happy people, for our increasingly democratic and fair society. Or in the case of 50-100 years later, this letter only reaches people, possibly called future generations, then allow us to send greetings to socialist society, allow us to express wonderful joy for happiness and peace are flooding our planet and we become useful dust particles - And more than that if possible, let us send the warmest greetings to people on distant stars, new friends between planets. Spring in the forest of the Southeast. Vu-Chi-Dung". Let us bow before these heroic sacrifices, before these blood letters as an immortal song of the Vietnamese men during the time of defeating America.
It is absolutely not necessary to draw any nationalistic parallels about the person from which particular nation did this. It does not matter. This is the merit of all mankind. "Our footprints will remain" - human footprints. That's what's important. We are all people, no matter where anyone is. We are all the crew of the bioship Earth. We are on the path of prosperity, drop everything superfluous.
