I like how Taeyang is being a gentleman like he always is, giving her moments to shine. She’s great, very soulful without sounding like she overdid it. If I'm not mistaken she actually went to K-pop Star 5 as a contestant after this video had millions of views. But the judges gave her feedback about some singing things I don't really understand, it was about something she had to fix to sing as a soloist which is different than singing duos like this. You can look it up. I think the opportunity was there, but I guess she ran out of luck. If you are talking about fame because of talents without the necessary looks there are AKMU, Lee Hi, Jung Seunghwan, and others coming out of K-pop star. I know it's a small portion compared to the rest of K-pop, but it's there.
