Best pizza I had in Vietnam was at Risotto's in Hue, but probably more memorable was the Bun Bo Hue down the road at Thuy's. I still dream about those noodles and feel sadness in my heart.

the lack of a tomato sauce is disturbing. I went to he Philippines for my wedding and actually found a legit neopolitan pizzeria in Alabang and was so happy to get a solid slice in a world of "shakeys"
Good idea for a video! Pizza chains in Saigon are terrible though, I remember colleagues being excited about ordering pizza to work and the stuff they used to order was revolting. That being said there are some great authentic Italian places particularly in District 2

if you're surprised with the variety of pizzas in Vietnam, you'll need to see the variety here in Brazil...there are plenty a lot more. The biggest chains don't have so much power to the brazilian creativity.

Some of the most surprisingly good pizza I ever had (they were not from a chain though) were potato and guanchali pizza and pumpkin and gorganzola pizza. So good!

So I use to spend my summers in Vietnam with my Grandfather and other relatives, I remember literally seeing the globalization of Saigon before my eyes. When Pizzahut first came to Saigon I remember it being considered a fancier place to go. But the thing I remember the most is the absence of tomato sauce!! It was really weird for kids who are use to American pizza to not have any so we asked for some and they gave us Ketchup to eat it with. Nowadays when i'm back in Saigon, I don't normally eat fast food chain pizza so I didn't know they still in large part omitted the tomato sauce. You should try the chains Basta Hiro or Pizza 4P though! they are pricier but they are delicious pizzas and pastas!

Asia has the strangest pizzas for sure! I never quite understood the sweet potato puree and corn which were and probably still are quite common pizza toppings in Korea. I did like the cheese or sausage stuffed crusts tho! Kinda craving Korean pizza now! Haha

Ive had the french fry pizza. The pizza in we use to have in my town had them on the buffet.
If you order the regular pizza it has the tomato sauce lol you ordered most of the seafood and specialty items so it seems like they strayed from the traditional tomato sauce... on that note the regular pizza I tried when I was there was amazing, there was a cheese waterfall when I pulled a piece off since it was fresh and the seafood soup thing was good. Pizza Hut was the spot 👌 love the videos btw!

Omg. I can so relate. When my husband and I was in Cambodia, his Aunt gave us some pizza, that had unusual ingredients we normally don’t have in the US (or at least in California where I am.) Mine had imitation crab meat, hotdog link, and pieces of pineapple. No marinara sauce at all LOL I was so weirded out, yet I then missed home when I smelled the bell peppers on it too, because I was thinking about, “supreme pizza” from back home. 😞😂

I had some strange experiences eating pizza in China. One time, I went to Pizza Hut with my friends. The menu had a lot of crazy toppings, but I just wanted a normal cheese pizza. For some reason though, it wasn't on the menu. When I asked the waiter why they didn't have cheese pizzas, he looked at me like I was an idiot and said, "All of the pizzas have cheese on them." I then had to explain what a cheese pizza was. At Pizza Hut. It was kind of awkward. Also, durian is a very popular topping over there. I was actually surprised that I didn't see it show up in this video.

OMG ! I stayed in Hong Kong in the 90s,for 3 months and got home sick for pizza. Went to Pizza hut and they didn't even have pepperoni . So I finally settled on a pineapple and candian Bacon. When it arrived it was there like piece s of cheese that you could barely see and the Canadian bacon was salami. The sauce tasted like sugary ketchup. Was horrible! Also is cost $30 us dollars in the 90s.

It’s normally ok. Iv been to Penang Kula lumpa Singapore Phuket and other islands around Thailand Iv never ordered one for a delivery but have gone in and ordered. But I stick to pepperoni and mozzarella. That’s only normaly my first night there until Iv explored the markets and talked to people
