Arabian mare foaling in peace, as nature intended, undisturbed! 🐴💕
Witness The magical moment of life, undisturbed! Our Arabian mare, Isabella, is foaling Hermes in peace, as nature intended.
When considering horses in nature, like wild mustangs, they manage to give birth unassisted and have been doing it for many centuries.
And when a horse gives birth to her foal, the first few moments together imprint smells that make a strong bond between mother and foal.
We believe that humans should not be interfering too much during this precious and important moment unless it is really medically urgent and necessary to assist, and with this case, the mare did a great job on her own, and both mare and foal are healthy and happy.
We were lucky that this is a situation where we could watch supportingly and lovingly from the sideline, but do support and understand situations that you need to help the mare due to medical urgencies, such as we did in this video:
To pull or not to pull | Horse giving birth videos
• To pull or not to pull...
This foaling video is a remastered and short version of Isabella foaling Hermes back in 2021, you can watch the whole foaling documentary here:
Horse giving birth | The whole process | Detailed with every sign and stage through the labor
• Horse giving birth | T...
We made this video to share with you our experience with letting the mare give birth naturally, and for you to see from the beginning until the end as an education and knowledge about the stages of labor.
Thank you for watching, again, let the horse foal in peace as nature intended, unless is a medical urgency, nature knows best!

When I was a young girl I rode my bike everyday to a local horse farm.( Mind you the last mile was all uphill) It was a Thoroughbred farm with racehorses, breedingetc. They had riding lessons and boarded too. I was very lucky because my older sister worked there..I was able @12 to trade work for a 1 hrs riding lesson. They made me work hard, I was green that's for sure...I learned so much hands on....I was so very lucky. After some time BLF had built a broodmare barn seaperate, from the main barn. Us young girls had the opportunity to stay up at night with the expecting broodmare(before technology) Once contractions we where to call our boss/owner who lived on the property too. Those nights I will never forget.. Her attitude was exactly as yours, let the mare be Unless absolutely necessary. In the 12 yrs I was there, we only had one emergency, and we lost the mare. It broke my heart. But unfortunately that is how nature works... Thank you for sharing..
Happy for the mare and goal, beautiful. However my mare would have lost her gorgeous foal if I had not been diligent and knowledgeable , knowing when she needed my help . Just saying sometimes a mid- wife helps and knowing when to step back and let things run their course 😉

So beautiful !🙏 Just as nature intends. And she delivered the afterbirth, placenta, without need for help. What a stunningly beautiful pair they are 🤩
Thank you so much, yes indeed, they’re very beautiful 🐴💕🐴 Isabella is a great mother to her little Amirah ✨
I feel honnored to share my name with her. What a great mom, and yes let nature do his work and just be on standby just in case, I am all for it.
She’s not living in “nature;” she’s living with humans. It’s good she delivered her foal safely, but it’s also good that if she had had difficulty, human help was available. “Nature” can be very cruel indeed. I’m thankful that human beings have devised many ways of improving upon “nature.”

Thank you so much for allowing nature to take it's course! I've seen sooo many foals ripped and pulled from their Mothers womb it's heartbreaking. Assist when necessary, otherwise, let nature take it's course no matter what the timeframe is. A maiden mare may take longer, but no trauma to mare or foal is best. Thank you for sharing the beautiful birth of your little ray of sunshine. Gives me faith there are people out there that truly care about their horses!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much, appreciate your comment and understanding 🙏🏻🐴❤️💕 all the best, a new foaling will happen next month 🥰
Tt is far better this way then human interfering unless needed they should leave the mare alone

So refreshing to witness nature as intended. I’m sure you were on hand to ensure correct presentation. And then left mum to it. I saw a video yesterday where humans were there with aprons on wiping down the foal etc. instead of allowing mum to stimulate circulation. This was beautiful… thank you very much indeed. Regards, Dave 🇬🇧
Thank you so much, Dave. Yes, we are lucky that we could stand lovingly and supportingly on the sideline, where the mare did such a great job on her own. All the best 🐴✨
It’s so difficult for every mother to push their children out. The energy and pain is uncountable and the trying and never giving up.
A text book foaling for a lovely fit healthy mare . well done . Sometimes people can intervene far too soon and cause more disruption than necessary which maybe is the reason for many mares holding on until all is quiet at night
Thank you so much, Eve. Appreciate it, and makes us happy to read that you see that same we see 🐴💕🐴
@@arabianhorsefamily I might sound cynical, but if the intricacies of delivery are not understood then there can be danger to foal and mare. I was so lucky to be educated by a Grandfather, Father and Uncle on Horsemanship. To share from the sidelines that first foaling experience is a memory to cherish forever. Your video is simply wonderful. So thrilled to be able to watch it. Thank you. 😍
Completely agree with your attitude to foaling, and dare I admit, as a mother myself I was kinda pushing with her . Lol
😅🐴💨💕 Thank you so much
Don’t we all 😁
Lovely to see a quiet natural birth on you tube compared to some that have at least 6 people standing around talking and telling new mum "she can do it" then touching her new baby straight after...Fab and both beautiful 😘
Thank you so much, yes we believe they deserve their peace and moment undisturbed. All the best 🐴💕
Aww he stood up quickly for a new born.and I like the color
Thank you 🐴✨ yes he is a nice colt
I love and enjoyed watching the video of your Arabian horse mare give birth to her cute and adorable foal a month ago and Arabian Horses are one of my favorite horse breeds.I love horses, ponies and mini horses
Thank you so much, Kim. We are happy that you found joy in watching our videos 🐴💕 all the best
Your welcome Arabian Horse Family
I love horses, ponies and mini horses but it is hard and difficult to have daily equine therapy so I watch equine videos

Yes it’s a very beautiful moment 🐴❤️
Lovely foal and wonderful mare. ♥️🐎♥️

God Bless both Mother & her precious foal. ❤ ❤ Thank you for sharing this beautiful video of the foal's birth ❤ Happy the birth went well. ❤ ❤
Thank you so much Yolanda 🙏🏼💙🐴
I love watching when she finally finishes pushing out the baby she just sits there and stares at it almost as if she’s wondering where that thing came from
A beautiful moment 🐴✨🧡
Absolutely beautiful video. Thank you for giving them the space they needed to bond.
Thank you for your understanding and lovely comment. All the best 🐴✨💕
its so important
Awesome birth. I love the way the dam kept kneeling to add ejecting pressure with both the foal and the placenta and that foal came out lively and feisty!
Very nice observation, thank you 🐴❤️
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing this natural and miraculous birth.
Thank you for watching and liking it 🐴✨💙
Perfect birth from beginning to end!
Thank you so much, appreciate it 🐴✨
Amazing!!
This was perfect. And natural The fact that there was no human interaction or speaking made it so much more perfect and natural.
Thank you Hannah, appreciate your comment 🙏🏻🐴💕
totally!
Welch wundervoller Film. Die Mama hat die Ruhe weg und vertraut ganz der Natur.
The miracle here is that everyone just watched to see if there would be complications! Well done, you! Wonderful event and happy you have a lovely mare with a healthy foal! On his(?) feet so quickly!
Thank you, yes we were blessed with a lovely and healthy colt/boy 🐴💕 and so lucky that the mare did such a great job on her own. All the best
This is the most beautiful horse birth video I have ever seen!💖💖💖💖 you take such good care of your horses!!🙏

Beautiful job by Mom. The baby looks so healthy. Love the natural birth
Thank you so much for the lovely comment, Angela. All the best 🐴💕
So wonderful to watch. They are both very beautiful too.
Thank you so much 🐴💕
The wonder of birth with Mother Nature at her best. Beautiful video and such a calm mumma. ❤️
Wonderful. You have great respect for this natural process. Intervening where necessary, but also 'staying away from it at the right time' is the trick.
Beautiful❤❤
Thank you Velma 💕🐴
What a feisty little thing. Standing up so fast!
Yes, he’s an awesome little fella 🐴💙
Great video and the foaling was hands off as it should be (unless of course a problem comes up requiring human intervention), looks like the labour went quickly and easily. Big foal, seems so big next to mama. I grew up around Arabian horses (my mom bred them) and we did see quite a few foals that were large in comparison to the dam.
Muy buen video .
What a beautiful thing to see The mum looks so calm and peaceful If only it was pain free. 😊
Great job mom, took on the task like a champion, lol the entire time I kept holding my breath and silently urging her on. Only once the placenta fell out did I breath a huge sigh of relief. I'm so happy that you allowed her the natural way of birthing and that both mom and baby are fine, thank you.
Thank you so much, Jennifer, we appreciate your comment 🐴💕 Isabella is such a great mare, and she amazes us every birth 💙
That was amazing to watch the foaling naturally but with the help of the necessary medical support if needed.! Beautiful mare and foal.!!🎉❤🎉
indeed a real magical moment. god bless sweet mama and sweet baby

Wow, that was fascinating, yet so hard to watch! Can't be helped, of course -- birth involves pain. But what a gorgeous foal you have there!!! ❤
Thank you so much Phyllis. The foal has grown up to be a very handsome colt now 🐴💙
Phyllis Nunn Birth involves pain. You spoke the truth. I've been reading on a different video of threads from females who have made the comment.. "If being pregnant has to be painful, I don't want anything to do with being pregnant" Another comment said "If giving birth is supposed to be a beautiful thing, there should be no such thing as pain giving birth" These comments are from females
@@eyemnew2991 nothing worth doing in life is easy or painless. Real mothers know the pain is forgotten in the joy of embracing a precious little one.
@@brandywineblue I've heard that (Nodding my head in agreement)
@@eyemnew2991 I have passed kidney stones (which is pretty near close to the same pain level as contractions in labor,) sciatica, and other extremely painful conditions and treatments. But labor is an agonizing process and pushing the baby out also is a very painful and hard task, which can take hours, especially for the first time. After having my first child, I couldn't sit comfortably for a whole week. So yes, I believe many women like myself empathize what the mare is going through.
What a MOMMA! I have helped a mare deliver her baby and had to actually help her cause one of the legs were in backwards. Foal was beautiful and then I went to work cooking for the prisoners at a county jail. After I cleaned up of course.
Wow! Thank you for sharing your story 🐴
Hi
I love how. Calm she is when she first starts pulshing out a bit of the foal 0:55
Yes, she is a very experienced mare 🐴✨
Great video. Glad you let nature do it thing no intervention unless needed. Momma done great. Fingers crossed for a filly.

That was wild. What a gorgeous baby. Mother is so attentive. 🥰
Finally someone letting nature take its course without people meddling!!!!
We are happy that you agree with this way 🐴💕 all the best
There's a time in and place for human interference when it comes to foaling. Human interference is justified when Mare needs medical care and life at risk.
Yes, it is right to step in when it is medically necessary. Luckily we did not have to do it during this situation.
Agreed
But in 95% of cases where people have interfered in the foaling process it is unnecessary, most just want to jump in there and rip it out and most do. Very very rarely is human interference needed
I lové the beautiful soft bed of hay you have provided for mum and baby. Beautiful video.
That foal really wanted to walk after it was born and finally got it
Yes, it takes about 45-1 hour and the foal is up on its hooves 🐴✨
Wow, you mean horses can give birth without people.. (sarcasm) beautiful mare and foal, Arabians are magnificent animals
😅 Yes! They’re magnificent 🐴💙
Ah so lovely And no human interference.

Textbook miracle, if there is such a thing lol I'm considering buying a bred mare... learning a bit from friends and just trying to get experience. I guess the edits cut a few details but the birth clearly went nicely. Thanks for showing all the stages and for taking the time to film. Pretty cool night for this to happen and the first birth I've seen since I was little and used to watch calves pop up :)
Thank you for the nice comment, best of luck with finding your mare 🐴✨

beautiful mare and foal
Thank you, so much 🐴💕
It must be so painful, yet these magnificent horses don’t utter a sound. Completely different to use humans who scream, shout, curse and cry the whole way through Labour!
Yes, it is quite 2 different expressions of a very painful process.
Many women are silent too.
Speak for yourself, please. I was in labour for 48 hours. I pushed for 13 of those and gave birth to a 10 pound baby boy. Plus and to add on to which, I was 9 day’s overdue. I didn’t make a peep…………but I do agree with you. Animals are strong………………❤❤❤
Not all animals. Watched a pretty noisy goat the other day. That aside I think birthing in the wilderness loudly could bring predators. I think it's a safety mechanism learned by instinct. They are in pain. Women are often more quiet at home ... funny about that.
GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY. SUPERB!
