  • A good initiative Matt 💪 I think many young players get confused by everything they see on social media these days and having someone of your knowledge level and expertise to break it down is great!

    • If you died TODAY, where would you be spending eternity? Have all your sins been forgiven or are you still hoping that you're a good enough person to earn a spot in heaven. The reality is that no one can earn a spot, our sin disqualifies us. But the God news is that Jesus paid for our qualification by dying on our behalf taking the punishment that we deserved. JESUS said, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son; that WHOEVER believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 Nothing is more important than your eternal destination. Please, don't say, "When I get older I'll get right with God' or 'I'll get serious with Jesus one day when I'm ready.' Don't wait any longer, today is the day of salvation. Get right with God today, for tomorrow very well might be too late. We invite you to REPENT and accept that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life by praying this simple prayer out loud right now... 'Heavenly Father, I turn away from my old life and repent for my sins. I believe that Jesus came for me, that Jesus died for me and that Jesus rose again for me so that I can be forgiven and receive eternal life. I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, receive the gift of eternal life. I ask you to fill me with the Holy Spirit and lead me for the rest of my life. In Jesus name - Amen. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

  • I think the most important thing when it comes to training is to focus on your weaknesses and try to replicate things that you would do in a game. My experience at the professional level showed me that you don't become a pro by dribbling like Messi or Neymar. Everyone at the professional level is a pro due to their ability to do the basic things right with minimal mistakes. Then adapting to the faster pace of the game and having a higher IQ. That's what makes a player turn into a professional.

  • I'm always in awe at the levels between average person and professional athletes. Looking at these TikToks with highly technical skills that I'd struggle with and then realizing that even then most of these people wouldn't even break into a u-21 Premier League academy team.. the levels are insane lol

  • Great idea and a great video !!! Thank you for your comments about the “always” and “never” instructions… I also think it’s good to have full speed then slowed down, but knowing that it may be better for longer form vids… I love your training videos and 7mlc (in particular), so valuable and appreciated!

  • 8:56 the placement shot I used to say my players to not turn the back to the ball. I told them to give the ball and run backwards to never lose the ball of they view. It makes the run turn into a half circle and puts the body in a good position to shoot.

  • Used to play soccer when I was younger. I played for about 7 years until I just started getting a little bored of it. but recently I've been re-connecting with the sport and I'm trying to get that muscle memory back. I don't think I'll play, but more of just as a hobby. I think this is a great break down and explanation on why some of the videos are not always going to be useful in game. :>

  • Nice, I love how you approve your point using footages from the EPL😁, Like you said in football there's no just one right thing to do it depends on your position, place, ball movement and speed....etc and you have that bit of luck😅, so usually it's about doing what you see is right based on your experience, in real games all you have is a couple of secs to take decision and start to acr, and that's difference between pros and amateur players, taking the right decision in so little amount of time.

  • Difficult is exciting. Easy is boring but effective. This is what one of my coaches used to say. Even in the pros they all have a go-to move and they simplify their game. Kobe Bryant used to say, "to be unstoppable you must first be predictable." If you can't be predictable you yourself don't know what you're going to do next so how can you possibly dictate how you're going to take on the defense.

  • You got me definitely thought it was American and not Assoc. Either way good vid. I liked the one drill with the little hurdle because it's practicing two different first touches and getting better control. I think both of those moves translate to game play.

  • The heading one is interesting because so many players can be great with their feet, or even their chests, but have poor technique in the air. Raising arms creating loose neck muscles, poor muscle tension, "looking" the ball into the goal by whipping the head around, attacking the ball at the highest point with static leaps and so on tends to create weak, poorly controlled headers. Sometimes they even score with them - but they aren't the right technique which is the objective.
