TBH I got a little emotional watching that build LoL 😆. And he was no slouch on this ACTY build either! I hope he kept both of these vehicles for himself, because he's the only one that deserves them.

    • @Ian Taylor Is that a kei car/pickup? I think you're right that they don't sell them anymore

      @freddieparrydrums@freddieparrydrums2 жыл бұрын
    • @Ian Taylor That’s interesting. They haven’t really made many changes since the first release of the Acty too. Just a simple workhorse that hopefully uses a similar reliable power train. I honestly thought the whole kei car had dyed down but there are still some newer ones like the S660.

      @freddieparrydrums@freddieparrydrums2 жыл бұрын
    • @Ian Taylor Yeah I find it pretty cool too. I love the small kei cherry pickers, I just find them adorably bizarre. As you said would be a very useful thing to have for small companies (not sure about the costs of kei insurance and stuff but I would’ve thought it’s cheaper. I’m from the UK so we rarely see these). And yeah, Japanese makes have always been known for reliability, which makes certain buyers buy for that reason

  • Thanks for those highly entertaining videos. They are really brightening my sunday afternoon. I am quite impressed with how your paintjobs tend to turn out. Most non-painterbooth paintjobs i have seen so far don´t look anywhere near that good. That heavy duty coating was a great choice for this thing imo! It´s a shame a built like that would probably never be possible to be driven on the road here in Germany. The TÜV can be a pain in the butt when it comes to things like the bullbar, the lights that you added and the bigger wheels. But since i lack a few things to try my hand with a restoration like that (foremost a space to do it in and about all the skills beyond cleaning the basecar and pulling it apart.. 😉) I won´t have to find out if it´s possible to get one on the road legally. Just two questions remain: How much does it cost you (roughly) to bring a car like this to the state it´s in at the end of the video? And why do all your builds have the steering wheels on the wrong side? (Just kidding ). Thanks for all this qualitycontent, keep up the great work!

  • Much nicer than it was. Great job overall. Personally I'm not sold on the bed liner paint job for the whole thing. While it could be (probably is) more durable than a more standard paint it definitely comes off as a 'quick and easy' type deal that reflects in the final product. Obviously sanding/priming the whole truck for a more standard paint job would be a tremendous amount more work. Other than that the front lenses look like they could brighten up a bit with a polish or maybe a lot clearer with a quick LED lamp conversion. Either way you brought a lot of life back into that little truck and it's great that you did.
