SLAYERS - An AI short film/trailer

This is a short film/trailer outlining the concept for 'Slayers', a dragon slayer story designed to challenge the straight forward 'hero versus monster' narrative, beginning the story from the dragons' perspective.
Because it's the Chinese Year of the Dragon, dragons have been on my mind lately. I've been thinking about the way the Chinese dragon symbolises good fortune, rather signifying death and destruction as European dragon traditionally has. I also read that in the Middle Ages, many people in Europe may have believed in dragons in much the same way they believed in lions and elephants, and it occurred to me how, even today, lions and elephants are trophy hunted (in hunting safaris).The original spark for this story was the idea of the dragon slayer as a kind of trophy hunter, who then becomes 'prey'.
To create the film, the initial images were generated using Midjourney 6.0, then animated, largely using Runway Gen 2 Image to Video, with a few shots done in Pika Labs. The voiceover was also created in Runway, using the Text to Speech function, and the poem was created with assistance from ChatGPT. The music comes from pixabay - 'sword 8' by its_tigri and 'Viking Saga' by SergePavkinMusic.
