Crabs: Hey, I saw that guy helped the little one before. This is our turn to help him, whoever he is!
That robot crab is a god among mortals, they saw how it distracted danger.
the robot crab is not a god

Can you hear the stories they will tell about that crazy crab who battled the Ray? Legendary🤯
All the spy 🦀 needs is a little superhero cape🤭.

Cool that the older hard shells form a protective cover, mound to protect the younger soft shells... Brilliant self-defense mechanism! "A living Citadel" of survival in the wild. TY @BBC
Pushing the young crabs to dive down appears to increase survival. For some reason, in nature, the harder and stronger crabs try to stand on top of the younger crabs. This seems to me to be a suicidal act that is completely illogical. In the long run, however, the species of crabs that burrow under young crabs may have reduced their numbers.
Oh sure, when the older male crabs climb ontop of the younger female crabs to "protect" them its cool, but when I do it to young girls its illegal >:(
Soft shell just means they are molting as well

Ray be like: "I hate it when they bunch up like that."
I am blown away by how effective that ray's mouth is at extracting all the meat from a crab so quickly!! What the heck kind of inner workings are going on inside that mouth?!
Imagine it’s your first day when you get that hard shell and you’re out there to face Sharkie thing.
Omg I love this SO much! Spider crabs are one of my favorite animals they are so amazing
I love spider crabs too, they just look so alien with their legs and body shape, I love their armor and how they eat and act. Weird its my favorite animal but I love them. Specifically the Japanese spider crabs with their incredibly long legs.
@@ghostlyblue5735 I know they make noises too. Idk they are just amazing.
@@lraven888 I want one as a pet, like idk if it would understand the pet dynamics but i’d love to watch it eat and pet it if possible.
@@ghostlyblue5735 I had one as a pet. Her name was Karkinos I had her since she was a speck it was from a seaweed experiment I had her 2 years before she died I regret not releaseing her any crabs I usually had as soon as I could see them I took them back to the ocean. It REALLY hurt my heart cause she’d make these kinda idk purring noises or more like at first it sounded like something was cranking idk how to describe it. I think she wanted her own kind but she’d molt right out in the open . If I had seen THIS before I would of contacted a local diving place to take her back for me cause he literally video taped a molting spot. I think maybe she’d been ok. Idk they can live like 20 years so yea I wish I let her go. I mean her tank was cycled it was big I planned on getting bigger it was just hers and a stone crab. I would suggest just watching stuff like this. It’s been over a year and it still hearts my heart when I see molts or dead spider crabs at the beach. I still have her molts. I thought I’d have her forever. But I mean high site she should been in the ocean finding a mate.
@@lraven888 I'd keep those molts forever, they really are fascinating creatures. The name reminds me of ARK survival evolved, sounds nice. Have you had any other pets?

BBC: "A brief monument to teamwork." Crabs: "Hey anybody know how to cook one of these things?"
Why is learning about these crabs easier than whatever the hell I'm gonna be asked about at midterms
So cool how they team up to help each other. 😇
Wow! How wonderful that they protect each other🤗❤️🐝
I love this series its so unique and impressive. I hope this nature documentary clears up at the awards.🎉
Sons watching crabs again
It would be nice if they cleaned up for sure.

Or the camera crab 🦀 😂
i think this is wonderous....working together to thwart the predator..just amazing...
Team work makes the dream work!
1:09 What is that robot doing? xD
The view from the spy crab reminds me of the interior of that spaceship in the movie Nope when people were being folded into it
The larger the crab pile, the smaller its surface area relative to its volume. In other words, the number of crabs attacked by rays decreases as shown in the logarithmic graph. An amazing survival strategy.
yeah its about abou the lagirithmic graph! i hope the crabs thank it.
So smart analysis
this video is so nice, I watched it several times❤
Wow, that was fascinating! Thanks for sharing!
Nature is incredible!
Such beauty and intelligence,an amazing clip!
Holy wow, that is, no this is all so flippin' amazing to see! I had no idea crabs were like this, it's so neat!
Oh, I just love the storytelling on this one. *chef's kiss*
The Ray is the real life Alien ship coming to invade the crabs but they aren't going easy.
I want a robot crab, looks so fun
They could probably make a fortune selling these things...A lot of people would love to have the remote control & play with 1 of these.I'm sure more than a few kids would like to use 1 for a prank on the beach somewhere🤭.
" i never really was on your side"
I can almost hear the crabs yelling, "Shell-wall!"
I never knew crabs make this sounds😮
You mean "crunch"?
@@giganerd6780 oh my.. i didnt notice its a robot!! (Small screen and watching at night is my excuse 😊). Thanks for pointing that out, I clearly noticed it after watching again :).

1:06 do you feel it now mr krabs
Jordan peele took one look of this video and immediately got an idea for a movie
All the beauty that exists in nature is full of mystery
David Tennant?
I keep trying to search who is the Scotsman doing this narration. It doesn't come up. For a second, I thought Alan Cummings, but you might be right
You were right! Funny that they don't list it in credits, but it can be found under the actor's wiki page
His real accent. His name is a stage name, his real name is a Scots surname, look up his biography. ♥️
Honey badgers of the sea. I cried. I laughed.

Wow why did the death ray help the spy crab back on its feet, if we were to not take that as just a narrative thats a fun way to look at what happened

What a bizarre existence and crabs have it pretty weird as well.

That's a lot of crabs... Is spider crab yummy?
Crab vs. Shrimp 😮😮😮
😅😅😅😅well information good show 😅😅
My twin crabs
I remember at about 9 or 10 years old. I had ate crab for the first time in my life and it was so delicious. But then shortly after I broke out in hives and discovered I was allergic to shellfish. I've never ate another crab, ever since then.
Good thing you’re not a stingray
i wonder if the ray can tell its not real from the electric signal
Mmm delicious I love crab! 😂
I've never seen a stingray eat before, I now wish to unsee it.
crabs got UFOed
David Tennant can talk to me all night ☺️🥰😴
Money money money Ahhh!!!
Video so clever it is worth watching and contemplating. How did they achieve the spy spider crab? Camera lens is shown in a couple of frames but no clue if they somehow installed it in a living crab or did they build a drone crab? Either way the movement accuracy and picture quality are outstanding.
the crab are more unify than my country 😢
Very cool.

Wonder where this was filmed?
0:12 wow are those robot spider crabs?
0:28 look at its arms it has nails on it so it is a robot!
