Klopp finished 8th in his first season , and yes he wasn't given a "billion pound squad" but if you actually look at the squad most of that billion isn't even our starting 11 . 55mil nkunku / 80mil fofana / 50mil -lavia / 30mil ugochukwo - injured the whole season basically. 100mil enzo was playing with injections and pain for the past 6months . Captain and Vice captain Reece James and Chilwell absent for most of the season , First team GK Sanchez -injured 70% of the season. Literally 70% of chelsea's current starting 11 is our B-team . Most of our key players are out . Saliba ( 1 player ) was out from arsenal for half the season, and arsenal dropped in form massively . + Poch was never given anything he wanted .he asked for experience he was given teenagers and the second youngest squad in the world . He asked for a Broja replacement in the winter transfer market , he wasn't given anyone . He has made gallagher the captain , and gallagher will probably be sold in the summer .

We'll string together a run of 2 or 3 games where we don't look absolutely shit and all the Chelsea creators start jumping up and down for Pochettino. Then we get battered again and it's back to Poch out. They've done this on repeat all season. Pochettino is wank. This is going to just keep repeating until we bin him. The club has massive problems bigger than Pochettino but that doesn't mean Pochettino hasn't been absolutely hopeless and isn't part of the problem.

Spurs tried that and it didn't happen. We already were close to or in that next level, why be content with a Spurs reject? 21-22 many had us challenging for the league. We finished 3rd, it was seen as underwhelming. Now suddenly only couple of seasons later 7th with Conference is okay. It's just dropping of standards. It's one thing for the custodians, but no reason every fan should accept it.

Every fan gets mad after a defeat.some fans wanted Conti sacked at half time while 3-0 down to the Arse. But then there's the calm after the storm, time to analyse and think things through. No one knows if Poch will succeed or not but we started a project that was always going to take time. Where we are considering all the injury's isn't bad, we can see improvement and changing again just mean's we start from the beginning again. Give him preseason, a healthy team and 4 months and if things go downhill we can look to change at Christmas.

For me this game is the real test of the players and coach because we have momentum, a system that’s working, the players we need to implement that system, and nothing else but talent and team spirit. If they fail tomorrow it will be as if Spurs and West Ham barely happened.
What scares me is that when Enzo returns and all options are available, he will start experimenting again with useless rotations. If we can keep playing like we play last couple of games then sure keep him, but it seems that current form is just a stroke of luck that is due to circumstances and if they change so will our game plan.
There’s no other realistic options so I say keep him another season. Players seem to like him which is good.

If we can get Emi for relatively cheap, absolutely pull for him. If he's gonna be north of 50mil, leave it. Same with Oblak. Darwin Nunez will be expensive...he was brought in for ~75m pounds and is currently worth ~60mil. I wouldn't touch him for anything north of 50mil as well. Guy has the physicality and drive...but he doesn't seem to have the technique or the know-how.

Benson you cannot decide the future of the manager off one game. Yes it was humiliating against Arsenal of all teams but for fuck sake the players should be taking a lot of the blame for their lack of effort and determination. Poch should stay regardless of our final position in the league. He’s had the deal with the worse injury record in the league, a team of youngsters who most of them hadn’t played with each other 9 months ago and a tragic strategy from the ownership. We’re likely finish either 8th to 6th, and that’s a fucking miracle given the context. Poch should be given his own freedom in the transfer window and unless something goes drastically wrong next season, he should be kept for the entirety of next season too.

Antonio Pintus(fitness coach) currently in Real Madrid was brought in by him. 8th UCL final for Pintus. Zidane really focused on fitness. If injuries were such an issue for us, they might help. Zidane's man-management I'd argue would be better than Pochettino(who lost the dressing room at PSG). What else does Pochettino offer? But then again, do we trust the custodians to pull it off?

2 games is not a form relax. You need a run of like 5 or more really stable good games. The same people that are Poch for next season keep the same energy when he stinks up again. The end of the season is not a good metric for deciding on a manager. Most of the teams are exhausted, most already know where they sit & arent too bothered except for either the super top or the ones fighting relegation.
We have to use the performance of the team throughout the season to determine Pochettino's fate. We cannot base our decision on these later winnings. We cannot go through this abysmal performance next season. I say we must get a better coach. Amorim is available. But not Zerbi.

Get Martinez and definitely sell Sanchez if we can break even or make a PSR profit on him. Keep or loan some youths. Sell Chilwell, Sterling, kepa, lukaku, ziyech, sarr, broja, hall's gone. Maybe matos and moreira aswell. That's all. Too many changes will mess up the team, we need stability and the youngsters will improve again next season.
Pochettino must be given more time to seriously solidly ground this team if the owners were serious about the project.

recency bias haunting us. Over the course of the season Poch has shown he is out of his depth managing this team. The only problem is who do we get.
They are the two highest ranking players for missing big chances. Purely because of the available replacements and of those which are supposedly short listed, I would keep Potch for another year. I am still Potch out but not to such an extent that I would cut my nose off despite my face. Cucu isn’t good enough even in this new role and we will struggle against any team that has some fight next season plus Potch still isn’t showing enough ability to improve the young talent so I want him out come summer 25 but give him next season.
