ABIA. People, Congratulations. You are lucky to have a Governor for the first time!

The number one priority is Seaport in Abia State. If there is a need for airport in Abia State, it has to be world class international Airport that flight from America and Europe, and Asia will be landing and taking off. Aba is one of the largest commercial city in the world, so it is okay to have those in place.

All states needs an airport

Since the creation of Abia state this is the only Governor .i.have seen.so far.

Too many airports in south east, let them construct deep sea port and fix our roads and rebuild our rail system

Abia really need an airport

This project is good. It will require a lot of funding. Ebonyi state airport cost up to 40 bill Naira. Abia can focus on fixing the interstate roads by linking Owerri to Umuahia, Enugu to Umuahia, PH to Umuahia and Akwa Ibom to Umuahia. Consider investing in 24/7 power, water, security and Invest in vocational and Technical Education to pull more people out of poverty.

Am in Full support. Our Able Governor should look into it. Every State should have their Airport , in developed world. Not only one but a lot of them. Big and small Airports

The most viable, economically advantage to Abia State to boast Business is for the Governor to focus on construction of a Seaport instead of Airport. The Sam Mbakwe Airport is for Abia and Imo States respectively. There is no economically need for another Airport within that space. Governor Allex Otti shall live long, and God shall to butttress his visions and strengthen him for more projects. For now we need a Seaport for the entire Southeast Region. Cost benefit ratio is not worth build an airport for now. Rather construct three good roads: Umuahia to owerri, Uyo ikot ekpene to Umuahia and port harcourt to Umuahia.

It is easier to build an airport than to maintain it. An airport in Abia state will adversely affect the economy of Owerri airport and P/Harcourt airport. Rivers, Imo and Bia Staes can meet and share the money generated by goods and travelers of people traveling through these airports to Abia state. If Rivers and Imo disagree with this proposition then Abia can go and build its own airport.

Airport in Aba project is a stupid one. Owerri airport is between Owerri and Aba. It is about 30 minutes to Aba. Otti should build a metroline or Seaport with that money

Remember that the original Imo State comprised what you now call Imo and Abia States before it was split into two States. The Owerri Airport was built to serve the now defunct two States. You, as a businessman, do you know how much it costs to build an airport? Have you, or did you think about ridership before making this vlog? This ridership issue is what Ebonyi State airport is suffering from today after Gov. Umahi sunk over between 36-40 billion naira, borrowed from foreign countries, especially Islamic Banks through Buhari, his then friend, to build the airport, which has laid dormant for months? Who is going to pay back that loan? Do you know why Governor Umahi named the Ebonyi airport after Buhari? Have you heard of "Radar Cross-section or Interference" in Physics. Please my friend, do not discuss what you do not know or understand. The Governor, Alex Otti knows what he is doing. The proposed Seaport is far, far more important for Abia State than an airport for Abia State at this time. From Aba to Owerri airport is about fifteen kilometers (15 km) while from Aba to Umuahia is approximately 57km. If you are a businessman that lives in Aba and want to fly to Lagos or Abuja which airport, would you choose, Owerri or Umuahia? So please do not distract Governor Otti, who is on course, with your "vloggish" thinking and ideas. Please always do your research properly, knowing the pros and cons before presenting the to the public. Thanks.

The governor is very wise. There is no need for an airport in Abia.The deep sea port to me is more reasonable and more economically viable because it is going to serve the entire Eastern region. The idea of an airport in Abia is merely massaging a status ego. But if there is a seaport in Abia, there won't be any need to have another one in Imo. The economic development of the entire East should be integrated and planned in such a way that it will eliminate wastage.

Your argument is baseless. The governor is very intelligent to have turned the idea down. Why waste money for an airport when you are sandwiched by two standard airports. My ideal governor use the money to develop other infrastructures. In future, if there is a need for an airport, then it shall be created. Airport is not a priority project as of now.

Abia does not need an airport. In fact the Owerri airport is located to service Aba than it it to Owerri. Port Harcourt is next door to Abia. Abia should build world class hospital with world class medical personnel where Nigerians and indeed, Africans can come to source medical care instead of traveling to Europe, America or Asia. Abia should become the center of medical excellence to augment the industrial output of Aba artisans. Do that and watch Abia become the destination of all people. People will leave Lagos and head to Abia.
