ISHITANI - Making Fireside Stools - oak & sweet chestnut

Fireside stools made from oak trees in our workshop garden.
The oak legs are naturally dried for one year and then dried in our workshop. In the workshop, after applying anti-cracking paint to the wood, they were steamed to remove moisture from the depths of the wood cells. and dried again.
The chestnut seats are naturally dried for over 20 years.
The finishing paint is 100％ walnut oil.
工房庭の楢の木を使って作ったファイヤーサイドスツールです。
楢の脚は１年間自然乾燥をさせた後工房でさらに乾燥させました。工房では木の細胞の中の水分を抜くために、割れ止め材を塗った後に一度蒸して、そしてまた乾燥の作業を行っています。
栗の座面は２０年以上自然乾燥させたものです。
仕上げの塗料は100％クルミ油です。
