but what if my boss IS my buddy from a hentai forum?
Then you work as a hentai forum admin
Then you won't have this problem, as your boss is a man of culture who clearly isn't an atavistic throwback to Australopithecus and similar apelike pre-humans with barely a third of the cranial space of a normal human, nor the recipient of a hastily performed lobotomy done by a medical school dropout drunk on bathtub moonshine with the rusty claw end of his grandfather's hammer, and will thus understand the difference between affect and effect.
Then politely ask him to provide the sauce.
Then he definitely ought to know better! Effect positive change by anonymously sharing juicy comments from said forum with HR trolls. This should affect your situation positively.
@@slacknhash A man of culture is expected to be free of social or grammatical patterns..
Smithers is such a standup guy, even after the whole debacle he went ahead and recommended his former boss to a job, showing that there are no hard feelings between them.

I felt his responses were perfectly merited. His boss didn't want to hear that he was wrong and threatened to involve HR if he didn't obey. After obtaining further clarity explaining his boss most likely didn't pass the 8th grade, HR stepped in and immediately sided with the boss while simultaneously divulging that her education was equally subpar.
It's almost like the natural thematic progression of storytelling! And your punctuation is garbage.
Something I really do enjoy in your videos is when you point out someone's poor grammar. It makes me smile. "Absolute grammatical molestation" is a term I will use from now on.

Love that effectionate comment! :)
6:29 I love the attention to detail. Malware in the 90s and early 2000s used to have the .TXT.vbs extensions because Windows would hide vbs extensions by default. So the user would see it as a text file, but it would execute as a Visual Basic script. Malware also commonly spread through mass emails such as the ILOVEYOU virus, which worked just like the malware in this video.
I saw that and lost my shit lol
I swear 90s Windows was TRYING to get viruses
@@No_True_Scotsman Windows to this day still hides file extensions. The only thing that's changed are browsers which warn you when downloading executable files.

Every English class teaching the difference between Affect and Effect needs to watch this.
To be fair, depending on their ambitions effect could actually be correct in this context. Effect is occasionally a verb, for example I have effected this comment.
@@JulianSildenLanglo Is it pronounced differently when used as a verb? There are so few situations where "effect" is a verb that I thought maybe it would.
In the drawing where it reads “negatively effects Smithers” he is ‘himself incorrect so perhaps not.
@@reginaldforthright805 Yes, it's either "It negatively affects him" or "it has a negative effect on him"

This is the first video where smithers genuinely starts out in the right tbh, having your boss make an incorrect change submission on the thirty eighth revision and be stubborn about it would be enough to drive any man mad
I think the best solution would be to change “affect” to “have a positive effect on.”
At 3:10, Smithers himself uses the word "EFFECTS" incorrectly in "Negatively EFFECTS Smithers" (I'm probably not the first to point this out). It should be "AFFECTS" because it's used as a verb -- same as "Dildo up ass AFFECTS Nimesh" (which is correct). Here's a sample replacement: "This has a negative EFFECT on Smithers". Glad to be of help!

His mistake was making me question myself.
I love these because they're not far from the training videos we watched on the 90's. I like to use to really emphasise my "regards" with different adjectives. "Tepid regards" is by far my favourite
Tepid means like lukewarm though. My barely above room temperature regards!

Smithers O'Neil would be my childhood friend that I've always been slightly scared of
This was truly a professional tutorial. It would have been much easier to get Paul to dig up some dirt on Nimesh's family to blackmail him with, but Smithers O'Neil show us that it's better to take the high road to improve the grammar of your coworkers, no matter the cost.
This reminds me of something I've done numerous times before. If I'm angry at somebody at work and I'm sending an email communication, I write it out exactly how I want to say to get it off my chest, and then go back through it and edit it to a work appropriate message. It's therapeutic, but be warned, you need to make sure you don't hit 'send' on accident in it's honest form.
Gotta draft it in word or a blank email 😂

You know your email is truly well written when you get an invitation to your boss' office as a response. That's when they want to hear more in person and are almost ready to promote you. Another good indicator is if you get a simple "???". It means they want to know more about what you're saying because it's just so good. Dear Danalysis, I hope this email finds you well. I have also noticed this grammatical error when watching the video above. Opera GX is so amazing! I didn’t know it has been there since 90s and it must be because they spent such a long time improvising their browser from 90s to where we are now that it’s so easy and handy to use!
So, the revised mission statement reads: "It's our mission to effectively revolutionize how you do business on a global scale." It's like saying we're not just here to tug at your heartstrings; we're here to pull the levers of change. And maybe still make you go 'aww' occasionally.
