  • I don't follow the riders as closely as LR and Benji, so it's quite funny to me that Peter Sagan was supposed to retire from the world tour peloton last season but has suddenly reappeared in some random team named Pierre Baguette 🥖

    • Glad I’m not the only one who went through that strange experience. There’s a great article online about the team and it’s owner, apparently his entire game plan was built around singing Sagan.

  • I watched the entire race as PCS livestats employee and can confirm that Sagan did not pull a single time. He did go back to the car to get some bottles at one point. And he also brought Voltr back to the front after bike change, because he knew everyone would move out the way for the big boss.

    • @@Stefan_W. totally agree ! He is not a real winner, and that comes more from his mind-side rather than from his physical capabilities ! But that was exactly what the team Bora experienced during this long time together and that is also why they did not give hime a chance in the Giro ! OF course that was a big blow on him, but Lipowitz -- who now is already out of that race with illness , like the Schachmann of the last 2 years ( because of the "injection" -- but they would never accept to believe anyway -- haha ) -- Lipowitz is clearly the stronger rider already !

  • Nys - what a talent - maybe you could argue in Romandie it was from the break... but this was something different - he followed the climbers and then smashed them in the sprint! If he was to focus purely on the road? What kind of rider can he become?

  • My favourite place to go for cycling highlights for years, you do a great job! Would you mind correcting your pronunciasion of Mathias Vacek surname please? Czech “C” is pronounced as German “Z” in his surname 🙂 and vowels A and E are pronounced very short. sort of “Wazek” in German.
