Others will condemn what she has here, which brings to mind the poem “Hector the Collector,” by Shel Silverstein. And maybe “Invitation.” Delightful, absolutely delightful. I would love to just sit in her library, a little talk, a little laughter, a lot of reading. A room dedicated to Helena Rubinstein…. But egad! Mirrors all over the bathroom! I’d have to do my business with my eyes closed! Love Anna Sui, and this glimpse into her personal space gives more meaning to her designs.

I honestly wanted to buy some but I was on a budget so I only tried the testers, hehe... I've already known her brand before but have never actually seen her makeup line in the flesh. I was so in awe of the details. They were mostly black & purple. I love pink but Amethyst is my birthstone so I love purple, too. Then I went to an Anna Sui shop and I could only afford a piece of hand towel, lol! I still have it. Her designs are like a gothic Lilly Pulitzer + Betsey Johnson + Vivienne Westwood.

  • I'm a minimalist, but always fascinated by different designs, especially this one. Love the not so ordinary look of her interiors.

  • Absolutely lovely. Exact opposite of minimalism 😁 and I adore it. So lush and exciting, yet inviting and cozy. Quite a treat to see one of the homes of this artist.

  • This is one of the most magnificent apartments I've seen. Love all the decor and it feels like each interior design decision was intentional and with love. So inspiring. Have always loved Anna Sui and was grateful to have worked on some of her early fashion shows back in the day. Her apartment definitely reflects the designer that she is.

  • I shared this with my daughter who works in a "high-end thriftshop" charity. At her young age she could appreciate and recognize antiques and is a true maximalist. I did not share this with my obsessive compulsive minimalist friend

  • what a delightful treat to the eyes. i especially adore her living room and bedroom. i always liked Anna, and her clothing line and fashion shows are fun, so i'm not surprised that i love her house as well. i also like that, imo, she's not elitist about her objects of affection. like when talking about big names in illustration or movies. she doesn't brag, she just seems genuinely happy to have things that are special to her. her apartment is a combination of very unique taste and ideas, much like the hard-working and humble fashion artist that she is. thanks Vogue
