Now that may be do to Zack? That's like saying Ben Affleck is the best Batman in which some people think that? That's their opinion. But Ben Affleck's Batman has the best fighting scene I ever saw in the Warehouse of any Batman, after that both Justice League cuts his rolls seem reduced, looked bored in the Batcave and his Bruce Wayne looked tired Now I love what was done with Alfred! Very impressive. The best part of BVS was Ben Affleck. I honestly believe, if they gave him his solo movie instead of this goofy BVS he may still be playing the roll to some degree? I call the movie goofy because of how Superman and Doomsday were handled. Doomsday was made of human 🧬 along with Kryptonian 🧬 how in the hell is he more powerful! Lol! Superman inhaled kryptonite! It's in his blood stream, it barely did nothing! lazy writing? At the time Marvel Disney was kicking their ass! At the time I see why? Look at the character development, look at Iron Man through Endgame? Now after Endgame, Marvel Disney in my opinion is no better than DC WB. The only thing Marvel has better is their CGI.

  • In zack snyder’s Superman character arc, you can see how as the series progresses that the way he uses his eye beam changes over time. Initially it was scary and painful at times, but when he does it here his expression is at peace suggesting that we finally have the absolute Superman in snyderverse. It’s really those little details that Snyder has planned for many of the characters and it’s a huge shame that we will not get to see the full arc of all the characters synder started with at DC. If there’s a roadmap presented, meddling with it even a little just destroys everything. That’s what WB has done. Oh and yes Snyder Henry caville superman will always be MY Superman 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    • I disagree. Snyder made DC films. Nolan made Batman films. Nolan's formula won't work for most of other dceu superheroes. And the reason why Nolan trilogy is so good is because he only focussed on Batman and other lore related to Batman. Just look how worthless Batman is in big fight scenes like this one. Apart from killing that sniper. All he did was wait and watch. No amount of universe threatening movies can use Batman effectively. Because Batman is suited for smaller scale issues like the stake of Gotham compared to the stake of the whole universe. That's why most of the movies like Nolan trilogy, man of Steel, wonder woman, Aquaman, and Shazam worked comparatively better. Because the villian was matched with the hero. You either need a fabulous storyline like the Avengers movies to effectively use all the superheroes. Or you get mediocre CGI heavy movies like Batman v Superman, justice league, Zack Snyder's justice league. Yes there I said it. This movie too is mediocre, maybe a bit above average at best. But we see Zack Snyder's justice league with rose tinted glasses because Joss Whedon messed up so bad.

  • Yeah, it was always confusing for me how Superman could literally one shot Steppenwolf in the Whedon version, ending the entire conflict by himself instantly. And then, of course, he just destroys the unity with his bare hands. It's not that Superman was too overpowered, it's that the threat was obviously way too little. Justice League was never actually needed, only Superman. But now THIS makes a lot more sense! Now making Steppenwolf stay down takes team effort from Superman, Aquaman and Wonder Woman, and it is up to Cyborg AND FLASH to end the unity. There's nothing Superman can actually do. When Flash fails, he DIES, and if Flash wouldn't reverse time, he would've stayed dead this time. An actual Justice League was needed to prevent this catastrophe from happening. And it's even more satisfying to learn that Steppenwolf was never the big bad in the first place. When Darkseid crushes his skull with his you FEEL that he was an actual insect next to the actual villain. Now the movie actually works. The stakes are there, the villain that works is there, the teamup actually makes sense and has a satisfying conclusion.

I know they are already friends, but it's clear that Tom Holkenborg truly respects Zimmer as he incorporates his themes at the perfect times, and then builds on them for the rest of the score. • That's because Warnerbros are nothing but a bunch of cowards. All they wanted to do was appease the critics and a minority of audiences who constantly complained about Snyder's films having a dark tone, lack of humor, quips, and levity throughout. That's who WB chose to listen to instead of trusting their director and sticking to the plan. All these critics and audience members wanted was the DCEU to be marvel 2.0. And the sad thing about it is none of their films were flopping. Despite people saying Batman v Superman flopped just because it didn't make 1 billion, the movie did fine and earned a net profit of 105 million dollars which is nowhere near a flop. What's truly funny is that after Zack Snyder was gone, WB turned all of their comic book films into lighthearted action comedies and they all flopped at the box office. They got positive reviews on rotten tomatoes since WB worshiped the critics so much but nobody showed up to see them. Their last successful movie was Shazam from 2019. And the only reason that film was successful was because the budget was so low that it didn't have to make much at all to turn a profit. As of now, their last 8 superhero films have flopped back to back.

      @parkranga@parkranga10 ай бұрын
    • @@parkranga Snyder did not butcher Superman, he gave Superman a character arc, something which Supes is sorely missing in most interpretations. Snyder was building towards the blue boy scout rather than starting off with that right off the bat. I'm getting really tired of people who don't know the first thing about storytelling saying that he butchered Superman because he wasn't the biggest beam of optimism from day 1 in a world that was not only scared of him but actively wanted him to not exist. (Also, btw, Chris Nolan, a master of the art of storytelling, developed the story for MoS with David S Goyer with minor input from Zack, and I don't think anyone with half a braincell would say that Nolan can't write a story the way they say that about Zack for MoS, a film he didn't even write) The entire story of the Snyderverse is Superman trying to find his place in the world and GROWING into the hero we all know from the comics.

  • Four things that make this scene so freaking epic: 1.) Superman's entrance. Rarely has there ever been a superhero film that has managed to do an epic entrance scene that is so nonchalant and cool as this one. The fact that Superman is able to withstand an Apocalypse weapon wielded by a New God, and it doesn't do a damn thing is awesome, but that "not impressed" line was just the absolute best thing Clark has ever said. 2.) The epic music playing when Superman pummels Steppenwolf. Say what you want, but you are never not going to hear me hum to this epic soundtrack. Chills every time. 3.) The moment the parademon managed to land a hit on Barry. That Parademon gets serious browny points from me. Unlike the 2017 version, they were actually intelligent and could learn from mistakes, which makes them even more deadly. 4.) Darkseid's entrance at the last minute. Not only did it give me chills, but the sheer level of fear and desperation that goes through Victor's voice as he screams out Barry's name is absolutely mind blowing. Rather than the team winning and undoing the Unity, they actually have a new threat to face and it gives Barry the opportunity to save the day. Amazing writing and storytelling.

  • Superman is the OG of the superheroes. It doesn't matter if it is the DC universe or the Marvel universe. He was the first created superhero back in 1938 (with the exception of some less well known original superheroes) and has always represented the best of humanity including honesty, humility, honor and goodness. He is the beacon of light that always makes one's own heart swell knowing that good will prevail over evil and that line between the two will always be able to be drawn. There is and was so much they could have done with Henry Cavill's superman, including a bazaar movie where he is evil and hunts the superheroes (and good triumphs in the end and he turns good) - or a kind of "civil war" so to speak. (There was a glimpse of that in a prior movie but it was never fully realized). Hopefully they bring us a fully fleshed out and realized series of DC superhero movies still to come and they do a bang up job. I for one would love to see that "evil superman" movie fully fleshed out. (he obviously turns good again just in the nick of time).

Even once his weapon was shattered and his blows deflected helplessly against Superman, he kept on fighting with his bare hands. Never quit, never begged for mercy.
