Your humble demeanor adds to the appeal of your presentation. We all make mistakes and I like that you admit it on camera. Fun pattern
Oh thank you so much! I like to keep it real. I make a ton of mistakes. 😂
That is so true!
I like the on point table runner! I have 6 charm packs to use up. Thanks for your visions!

Yes I will try it. In fact, I think I'll make this in Christmas colors for runners for my sister-in-laws.
Ohhhh, love this idea! Thank you for sharing! I would love to see them when you are done. ❤️
I was looking for a Christmas table runner pattern ... thanks for the suggestion! I won 3 Christmas fat quarters from my local quilt shop. With a little more fabric from my stash, this would work beautifully 😊
I think this would look great in a quilt. Meanwhile, I now know what to do with a Christmas charm pack in my collection. Thank you!
Yay! This would make a great Christmas table runner or quilt! Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Yes Please make more quilt and like the one you just made.
Yay! Glad you love this one! More to come!

A quilt would be cool
It would be. I still may do it. I made this one into two table toppers, but I am going on a retreat and would love to make a quilt out from this pattern. Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you for the great tutorial and pattern idea. I appreciate the reminder trick of sorting by switching to black and white. I had never seen the color tool and think that would be useful too. I am probably going to attempt this with scraps. I'm excited!
My pleasure! So happy you like these ideas! It will be beautiful with scraps! Thank your for watching and sharing! ❤️
I love it on point also.
It makes such a difference, doesn't it? Thank you so much for watching!
I use trays too and love them.
Aren't they great? ❤️
I love this, What a fun project!
Thanks so much! Glad you love it! It is a lot of fun to make. ❤️
How didi miss this when it came out? Hope you make full quilt out of this. I might make my own charm packs to do this as you did recently.
That's okay that you missed it! It will be here. ❤️ I didn't end up making a full quilt. I made table toppers instead and they are great! I want to make a full quilt someday, however. This would be great with homemade charm packs! Great idea! ❤️
I love this !
Thank you! ❤️
As a new quilter I love that your blocks can be wonky! Mine are always wonky! Thank you for all the lessons.
You are so welcome! Welcome to quilting! It is a wonderful hobby. The community is great, too! 🥰 Yes! This one is so forgiving! So happy it is helpful!
I always say if I was ever able to open a quilt shop that it would be called Wonky 😂
I love this about you too, Kristen. I don't have to beat myself up if it's not perfect.
wowser! How clever...you are such a good teacher. Thank you.
My pleasure! ❤️ Wow, thank you! 🥰 It was my former profession! So happy you enjoy this!
I love this. I think I would like a longer table runner. I can’t wait to see what charm packs I have that might make a good table runner.
Yay! So happy you love this and are going to make it! It is a lot of fun!
I love how you go through and explain where to place your ruler to cut. I think if I watch you I will actually be able to do quilt making I’m going to give it another try.
Oh, thank you! I am so happy you love this one and found the instructions useful! Let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help!
Yes orange thread for cross hatch pattern. Love the dimension it gives. Your enthusiasm to open the charm pack matches my own😅🎉😅🎉😅
Yay! Thank you! I get so excited when I open up fabric. 😂 Glad I am not alone! 🥰
I love your idea of crosshatch quilting with orange thread. This would look great as a quilt too! ❤
Thank you! I love the idea, too! I may just do that.
Go for a full quilt!
Another great tutorial! I, too, struggle with actually finishing a project unless I plan it for a gift. Lots of flimsies in my closet.
Thank you so much! YES! SO many flimsies. 😁 I am going on a retreat in a few weeks. Maybe I can get a few things done then. Glad I am not the only one! 🥰
I love this method for using a charm pack. I bet you could use a layer cake and make a throw quilt!
Great idea! Absolutely! So glad you love this! Now I want to try it with a layer cake, too!
Same concept using 10" squares and set on point would make a great quilt.
Ohhhh, yes! That would work well, too! Great idea! Thank you!
I say dresser scarf and a quilt 😊
Great ideas! Thank you! ❤️
You're awesome ‼️ Gracias 😊
Awww, thank you! You are so welcome! ❤️
i love it but i would put the other yellow in the top right hand corner to balance i love the topper also and the orange thread to quilt i would love because orange is my favorite color great job i don't think i would like it as a quilt i think for me it would be too busy but you did a great job
Thank you! Great thoughts! Thanks for sharing!! Orange is my favorite color, too! 🥰
Really like this idea. I think a full quilt would be great.
Thank you! So glad you like it! I think it would be nice as a quilt, too. ❤️
Girl this is awesome
Thank you! 😎
This is a very unique idea! I have not seen this block! I really like it! Your Halloween one on point is really neat! I think I will have to try this!
Thank you so much! You never know when you are making a pattern/technique if it has been done or not. I haven't seen it yet either, but I wasn't sure if it was out there. I feel like everything has been done already. 😂 I love just playing with fabric and coming up with stuff like this. Thank you so much for watching!
Thanksgiving fabric would work too! Our family favorite holiday.
Darling,, make the quilt. This is cool!
Thank you! So glad you like it! I just have so many unfinished quilt tops waiting, but, then again, what's one more? 🥰😂🥰
I love it. It’s gorgeous. I’d definitely have a quilt in those colors.
Thank you! 😊 The colors are great, aren't they? Love this fabric line!
I love the OnPoint table runner
Thank you! I love that one, too!
Hello Kris, that was a wonderful demo. I like all the hints, and your cheerful personality! So many ideas..you really are an enabler of the nth degree! 👍🇦🇺❤️
😂 This isn't the first time I have been called a bad quilting influence. 😂 So happy you love this! Thank you for all the kind words. ❤️
OMG I love this, I have some charm packs my mom sent me 6 yrs ago for my birthday that I stored away and just find that would be great for this but as a samll quilt.
YAY! I love when that happens! I have a full list of different size quilts with the number of charm packs you will need to make each size on my blog. Hope this helps! I am so happy you love this one! Thank you for watching and sharing! ❤️
Love your video. It was very helpful. Im a newbe to sewing. Full quilt would be really lovely. Great idea to plan out blocks then leave it and go back to it.
Thank you so much! Glad it is helpful, especially to a new quilter! That always makes my heart happy to know newbies are learning from the videos. Please let me know if you have any questions! ❤️
I never knew how to tell the lights, darks, and mediums. Thanks so much for the tips.
Yay! So happy this helps you! You are so welcome. Thank you for watching and sharing!
Orange thread would add interest. I agree ( I don't use or make table runners) I thought a quilt would be pretty.
I think so, too! I just updated my blog on this one, and at the end of the blog, I listed how many charm packs you need for a bunch of different size quilts. Hope this helps!
I would still use the yellow as a medium. Sometimes you need to trust your first impression.
I understand where you are coming from. I've learned I don't like the results when I think I know where a fabric needs to be. I always check for value because it hasn't let me down yet, but I get it! That's what makes this hobby so wonderful. ❤️ Thank you for watching and sharing!
Love this. I need to make this🥰
Yay! So happy you love this one! 🥰
What an AWESOME IDEA for a Charm Pack!❤ I would love to see you use this pattern for a Lap size quilt toooo! Table Runner and a Quilt! I absolutely love your pattern for making this block! 🎉🎉❤❤
Thank you so much! I love that you love this! It is fun to make, too! ❤️
Super Cute. I was volunteered to be the QOV POC for our guild. I have a sit n sew this Saturday. Veteran's Day! I think I will get the ladies to cut this pattern out for a quilt using a layer cake! My ladies like big squares so we can churn out more beautiful quilts. Our State of Alabama has a waiting list of nearly 300 folks awaiting a quilt from QOV. Can't wait to show them your video! ❤
Oh my goodness! I can't tell you how happy this makes me knowing you are going to use my pattern for QOV quilts! THANK YOU SO MUCH! What an honor. I love love love this! As a daughter of a disabled veteran, I am honored to be a part of this endeavor. 🥰
Cute idea!😊
Thank you so much!
Fall colors. I love it! I think a Table Runner for your mum would be perfect. I like the idea of orange thread stitched at an angle. You do such pretty work.
Thank you so much! ❤️
You being ambidextrous is a great help in cutting. Great pattern. I love precuts so I enjoy any use of them
Thank you! So happy you like this! ❤️
I’ve always thought my blocks were wonky because I did something wrong. I feel so much better seeing you have the same issue! Your tutorial was easy to follow and can’t wait to try this!!
Yay! I love that you are going to try it! I always seem to get wonky blocks from precuts. I don't think they are always cut on the grain. So happy I am not alone! ❤️
Love the idea, but for me, I would need at least one solid. If the project is too busy, it messes with my brain. I just might try this one. I will send you a picture if I do.
I understand that! I would love to see what you make with this pattern! A solid would be nice in this one, too! Thank you so much for watching and loving this. 🥰
i love the pattern, i would make it into a full quilt, maybe a lap size thanks for the pattern love your videos
Thank you so much! I love that you love this! You are so welcome. Thank you for watching and sharing. ❤️
Another great idea! I like the crosshatch quilting. I think this would make a great quilt - you could cut up a layer cake into fourths, and you could make a quilt that's 5 blocks x 8 rows. Using the charm packs it's a nice pattern to use for quick table runner gifts.
Great idea! Love the idea of making gifts from this, too! Thank you so much!
Fabric and pattern are so cute!
Thank you! 😊 I think so, too! ❤️
Love this! Thanks for sharing. ❤👍from Somerset UK
You are so welcome! Glad you love it! Thank you for watching! 🥰
Really like your teaching style. You tell us what and show us how. Well edited too!
Thank you so much! This is the best compliment. ❤️
Lovely quilt! You are a very good teacher🤩😁
Thank you! 😊 That is so sweet to say! I was a classroom teacher for many years. 🥰
Super thanks..
You're welcome! 😊 Thank you for watching!
Love that it's only one charm pack. I need a fall table runner too. Thanks
Perfect! I really wanted to keep this at one charm pack when I was designing this technique and pattern. So happy you love this!
It turned out so well! You should totally make it into a quilt.
Thank you so much! I do love it! It would make a beautiful quilt!
You could just back it with flannel no batting. Still quilt it and make it into a Fall scarf.😊❤
Love this idea, too! Thank you! That would be so cozy!
You are an excellent teacher. This pattern would work awesome with 10 inch squares for a large quilt.😂😂😂
Thank you so much! You are so sweet! Oh, it would be! I love that idea! So many options! Thank you for watching and sharing! ❤️
I love it as a table topper. Do your fancy top stitching in the orange thread. Love you videos and your great teaching. 😊
Thank you so much! Glad you like it! Orange is my favorite color, so I love that idea! 😀
I just bought a fat quarter of the fabric to make a quilt (some day) but now I’m thinking I need some charm packs too! Love the fabric and love the design 🥰
Thank you so much! You could cut some 5" squares from the fat quarters, too! Just a thought! So happy you love this! Thank you for watching! ❤️
I just added those prints to my project. (I sort "everything" by value & work scrappy. I like that this one had real darks, many charm packs don't in my opinion.)
I agree! They don't usually have a lot of darks, which can mess you up. 😊 I was a bit nervous about going into a charm pack 'blind" for that very reason! 😂 Glad it worked out. Love the idea of using scraps! I just updated my blog with all the sizes/number of charms you need/etc. Hope that helps as you plan!
@@SewtheDistance I'm almost done with a light medium/dark medium checkerboard - I've gotten som many scraps that are not dark or light (more than a few from charm packs.)
I especially love the runner on point! They all look great!
Thanks so much! I love that, too! Still can't decide! 😂
Really pretty! Thank you!
Thank you too! So glad you like it! ❤️
That was fun. What a great idea. I have two charm packs that I bought ages ago because they were on a throw out table at my local sewing machine shop. They were such a good price that I couldn't resist even though I had no idea what to do with them. So now I have some food for thought. I fiddled with my phone and found how to change to black and white, another lesson learnt! I have to make a Christmas present for my Sewing Guild. Might think more seriously about this.
Yay! So happy this helped! The black and white photos really help. I cannot trust my eye. Learned that a long time ago! LOL! Glad you have some ideas for this one! More to come!
love it!
Thank you! 🥰
I’m a beginner and this looks like something I can do. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!!
You are so welcome! Welcome to quilting! This is a perfect beginner project. ❤️ So happy you love it!
Love all the options!! It's really cute anyway you do it. Thanks so much for taking the time to share with us!!
You are so welcome! So happy you love it! ❤️ Thank you for watching!
A full quilt would be gorgeous!
I think so, too! ❤️
I like it on point. The scrappy looks better that way.
I agree. Putting anything on point makes it look so much more complicated. 😊
Lovely work I think the orange thread would look really good. Thank you so much for your time and creativity.
You’re welcome 😊 I started quilting it and LOVE how it is turning out. Orange was a great choice. Can't wait to share it on my blog. Thank you for your kind words! ❤️
Hi Kris. Before you buy more fabrics for the one you were excited to make bigger check your own stash for goodies! Making more blocks will fill the need and give you more time to decide your finish. Hope this helps
True! Good tip! Thank you! ❤️ I really should check my stash!
❤ Love love, love this! And I love that you showed us different ways that we can use this. It is approachable and manageable and looks beautiful. You are very talented! Thank you so much!
You are so welcome! Thank you for your kind words. I love that you love this! 🥰
Love it! You just gave me an idea to what to do with Halloween charm packs! Thank you for sharing, I love you personality! Many Blessings

Thank you for sharing. I enjoy your honesty and appreciate your tips for success.

Love love love your first sample quilt. Such a fun pattern to make with charm packs.
Thank you so much! ❤️
Beautiful, a full quilt would be amazing ❤
Thank you! I think so too!
Love this pattern. Definitely a project to try. You could make more blocks and make a bed runner.
Ohhh! Great idea! Thank you! Love that!
The fabric makes a gorgeous quilt!
Doesn't it? It is a beautiful fabric line! I love it!
I have the perfect lonely single charm pack to try this with and can't wait! A great tutorial Chris!
You are so welcome! YAY! I love it when that happens! So happy your are making this! ❤️
Very fall looking. The colors actually remind me of fabric from the 1960's and 1970's. Lots of brown and orange calico. By the way, the metal tray you have is similar to one my mother had. Memories!
Oh my goodness--yes! Maybe that's what I love it about it! It reminds me of our family kitchen growing up in the 70s! Thank you for the memories, too! ❤️
What a great video!!! Thank you! I love that you share the wonky that comes up sometimes no matter how hard you try.
You are so welcome! So happy you love it! ❤️ Wonky happens, right? 🥰
Love this idea 🥰 I’d definitely want a quilt 🤷♀️ Thanks for sharing 👏👏🇬🇧
You’re welcome 😊 So glad you love it!
I’m definitely going to try this! I have two orphans charm packs that haven’t found a home yet. So they are destined to be a baby quilt. I loved the look on point, so I’ll cut some setting triangles from a solid. Thanks for adding directions for a larger project!!
You are so welcome! I am so excited you are going to make this! It is really pretty on point. That will make a beautiful baby quilt! Love this idea! Thank you for sharing!
I love the table runner. OrNge thread is a great choice for the quilting and. I think a quilt would be beautiful! Thanks for sharing! Love your channnel♥️😊
Awww! Thank you! So happy you love this and my channel! 🥰 You are so welcome! I started quilting it and am loving the orange thread! ❤️
Made a baby blanket with a charm pack, wish I had seen this pattern. Nice
Thank you! This would make a great baby quilt! I wish you had it then, too. ❤️
