I sense you are part of a generation who feels that the last 30 years may have been better to live in the the next 30. I was due to see Simple Minds this year but couldn't for obvious reasons, I am hoping for 2021 to be better. No disrespect to modern artists, but when you listen to most of what is on the radio, it is total toilet. Most best new music is not being given the airtime it deserves. I yearn for simpler times, chiefly because at heart, I am not ashamed to admit... I have a simple mind....

    • Ah, if only that were true... But we're all getting older- a couple of more decades and it will be gone. All our memories lost "like tears... In rain" as Roy said in Blade Runner. My memories are already incomplete. Whole years I don't recall... But those times burnt into my mind, those things I will never forget- the dawn sun shining on the mist in the vale over the river as I drove through Pennsylvania on my way to work at the Pa. Renaissance Faire in 1991; striding out on stage at school; beautiful women, classic cars and old friends... Those memories will all go to, in time Time is an unstoppable force of destruction.

But we think you’re crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us. In the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal. Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, The Breakfast Club.
