  • You didn't let us down, a masterpiece need a long time to finish, and your works are worth all the wait! Even if you only produce one every other months, I still can remember how I like all your creations, that's how good you are!

  • Everyone over here saying not to worry about it taking long, but I'm here shocked at how quickly you made it. You made multiple guardians, have insane attention to detail and the scale is huge. I don't think you took long at all, I think your talent allowed you to complete it so quickly. It's an absolute masterpiece.

  • When you showed all four of the shrines together, I was pretty shocked and amazed. You worry about what others think that if you've just been sleeping, you're yourself, you've got your own personal life and we all understand that it takes time to make the things you love. We all love your work and if it takes a long time to upload, then that's okay. Awesome work!

  • I think I've said this before, but you don't need to apologize for getting videos out 'late'. Especially since it would probably take you half the time if you didn't have to film it all. You're going out of your way to make this video, and we appreciate it, no matter how long it takes to make. It just shows how good you want your stuff to turn out, since you're taking so much time to pay attention to the minute details. And it amazes us each time.

    • exactly i do resin and painting abit on the side even tho my main interest is silversmithing but seeing other people's work especially when it is this good is a privilege not a right no one is entitled to you taking the time to make these things but he does film it all anyway so people can see his work he can be as fast or slow as he wants in my opinon.

  • Even the mistakes are worth the wait. I'm glad you decided to share them with us as well. There is beauty in them, even if it isn't exactly what you picture. A dying guardian, the water heating and things being lost. It's almost a statement of the world around us. I think these would be worth finishing in a different way even. Experimenting and seeing what else you can do. Thank you for sharing this with us. You haven't let anyone down at all.

    • That's an excellent way to interpret it, what with disastrous global warming: The world's oceans are warming up (to give a recent example, California just had a hurricane, and this part of the Pacific has always been too cold to sustain one, until recently), so the guardians are dying, which means they can't protect anything or anyone as well as in the past.

  • I may not know how to make such beautiful dioramas, but I do know that they take time. A lot of it. So I do not worry about you not uploading for a long time. You upload when your creation is finished and that is that. I also know that failure is just around the corner. It's so incredibly difficult. I can't even begin to imagine just how much effort goes into every single piece, trying to not make even the slightest mistake. And how devastating it is when it fails. Still. I will always be here to watch your videos. Always.

I'm glad we're able to see your work still, because it's beautiful, and always has been. And I'm also glad that we get to see when things don't work out. Your original is beautiful and charming, and these pieces show how your skills have been built since then. Think not of your past work as 'not well done', but as a marker in your skills that you have climbed past. We ALL start somewhere and our skillsets will vary over time and practice. You are a phenomenal crafter, and I want to say thank you for all that you do. We always look forward to your videos, and the wait is what makes it all the better.

I like the way the bubbles came out, near the rocks supporting the shrine, and the ripply effect they have on the "underwater" portion of the resin. It makes the water look more realistic, if you ask me. I wish I wasn't poor; I'd buy this in a heartbeat, and proudly put it on display!

I've still got the first HG I build and "painted" with markers that my sister brought from across the world, standing behind it is a MG variant of the same kit fully airbrushed, panel lined (even a couple of custom ones) and decalled. Every time I look at them I smile because of the journey. I'm still planning on making a diorama and using some of the techniques that you show.

I never understand when people doing an underwater style project get worried about the bubbles in the resin. It brings life. There would be bubbles with creatures moving around. I love how it looks. Is there a fear of structure with the air bubbles that I'm ignorant of or is it purely a visual choice?

  • Hello, thank you for sharing this lovely creation. The "Guardian" makes me think of that lovely sea animal called Glaucus Atlanticus (also known as the "Blue Dragon of the Seas"). I've never done anything with casting resin, but in a lot of videos I see the problems associated with the thermal reaction of this material and I tell myself that it's not something easy to work with and when you spend hours creating a diorama like what you've done and in the end there are failures it's not very pleasant and it must be pretty annoying, at least as far as I'm concerned, I know what it would cause, I hope you'll still want to do this diorama again later, maybe other resins are less reactive and allow you to limit the risk of failures.

  • Artists are our own worst critics. These are skillfully made and beautifully detailed. A good way to make sure your supports aren't visible is to pour the resin to whatever the minimum height you need that will support the weight for the guardian when cured. Then, you can remove all the supports and finish the pour. It requires a bit of precision with any color you add, but that's not too hard to measure. Man, I wish I could try to do even a small diorama like these but supplies are so damn expensive!

  • Seriously, the fact that you went back to remake so much of these after the versions you weren't pleased with when the resin issue happened shows your dedication to your art! ❤❤❤ Thank you so much for all the hard work and time put into this massive project! And the guardian turned out SO beautifully with the flowing fish design! I love love love the guardian! My favorite one is fall, followed by spring, winter, then summer. Great job! 👏

  • I loved the last guardian. It had a much more prehistoric style. These are just as amazing but much more fantastical style which I think suits the diorama better

  • I am inspired even to see the mistakes. It shows an attainable process, not just the miracle of a craftsman. Your work is beautiful.

  • The original shrine and guardian is one of my favorite pieces of yours, but to see how much you have improved over these years is amazing. Every video of yours is worth watching and worth the wait, no matter how much time has passed. Please take pride in every single one of your works. They are truly works of art, even the ones with mistakes. Art is not only about the outcome, but about the process and we can see your passion and attention to detail in every single project.
